JESUS IS THE FATHER, THE SON AND THE
                  HOLY SPIRIT

For Many Centuries, Jesus was hidden away in The Trinity. But in His season, in these last
days, the time is fully come for The Trinity to be untied so that no man may have excuse to
doubt or disbelieve. Though we may never fully comprehend the awesomeness and
unfathomable might of God till after the rapture, but He has not left us in doubt as to His
Person: The Bible is very clear on whom God is - Jesus of Nazareth. In the search for God, if
one stands on any pedestal or arm of The Trinity, he/she will arrive at Jesus of Nazareth as
The LORD GOD of the universe.
Though this might appear far fetched and largely different from traditional theology, but under
the guidance of The Holy Spirit our job will be to show; using the Holy Scriptures that Jesus is
the only wise GOD as He taught the patriarchs of the Hebrews. We propose our search by
asking ourselves a few evidence-identifying questions, and then turn to The Bible for answers
because as Matthew Henry would say, "high thoughts of Christ will be best expressed in
scripture words". The sum total of answers should help us to confirm or refute the above
assertion:
The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit: Are they three Gods
acting as one or One God in Heaven acting in Three Capacities on
Earth?
When The Bible speaks about father, does it necessarily mean biological fatherhood? The term
is first used in Genesis 4:20-21, where it is used to show the first person to do a thing or the
originator of a thing or idea. So what better Name to use in denoting the first Being to bring
life into existence â€" the first to create others! Since we have only one material universe; is
there room for more than one Father for it? In this way, Genesis, the Book of beginnings
proves that God The Father means The Grand Originator, The Source of all life; The Creator.
Consequently, whoever is the Creator of the universe is its Father or God The Father! This is
confirmed in Deuteronomy 6:4 as referenced with Ephesians 4:6. In other words if Jesus is
God, then He is also The Father (Isaiah 9:6-7).
The Wisdom of God or The Logos, another term for God The Son in Proverbs 8:22 says that
The LORD (YHWH) possessed Him right from the beginning of His endless existence. Since
YHWH has no beginning, it therefore means The Logos has no beginning since they have
simultaneous existence. This further shows that The Son would not have been subservient or
inferior to God The Father, had it been they were different persons. But most importantly, this
verse shows that The Father and The Son refer to one God (John 10:30). It is the foregoing
truth that Apostle John in John 1:1-4 re-echoed brilliantly.
Understanding The Holy Spirit will help us to know the nature of The Father, and put to rest
the thorny issue of The Trinity. We look no further than John 4:24 which settle this by
declaring that God is a Spirit, not just any spirit but The Holy Spirit because of His
unmatchable holiness. In other words that which possessed The Word or which made The
Word His body or Temple from eternity is a spirit, The Father of spirits - the unseen, formless,
omnipotent and omnipresent Being. It means YHWH is The Holy Spirit, and that Jesus of
Nazareth, appeared as His Material Essence or Presence. This was what Apostle Paul
captured so well in 1 Timothy 3:16.
Therefore The Father or Creator exists in two intelligible dimensions - the spiritual and the
material. It is in this inextricable union that He exists and operates: what The Spirit purposes,
The Material Being executes (John 5:17); little wonder The Material Presence is called The
Zeal of The LORD. The Jews understood clearly that whoever called Himself The Son of God
was God indeed. (John 5:17, John 19:7). They knew clearly that though The Messiah is The
Offspring of David, He is also The Root of David (Rev. 22:16). This passage alone is an eye
opener into The Mystery of The Trinity.
By appearing or by His Incarnation, The Material Presence of God declares the true attributes,
abilities, character, purpose, and Essence of The Holy Spirit (John 1:18). This is the reason The
Son is called The Image of The Invisible God (Gen. 1:26, 5:1, 9:6 and Col. 1:15-17). 1 Timothy
3:16 accurately defines the title "Son of God" as "God manifested as human". Micah 5:2 declares
that "God in human form" has always existed from eternity before the incarnation, yet He came
out from The Father! Here is food for thought. While Proverbs 8:22 sets it forth that God in
human form has always been The Temple of The Divine Holy Spirit in an inextricable and
reciprocal union (John 17:21, 14:11); so much so that The Son declares that He is one and the
same with The Father (John 10:30). And indeed He is, for it The Father who has been
manifesting in the different Dispensation of Grace and Mercy, working out humanity's
salvation.
The term Son of God is therefore used to denote God coming out from God, i.e. the Material
God (Visible God) coming out from The Immaterial God. Since The Material had always
existed in The Spiritual Plane, the term also means the separation of the Essences. This was
necessary to enable Him assume the humanity with which He used to pay the price for
reconciling humans to The Most Dread Holy Spirit. This has been achieved, so? Look closely
here:
Philippians 2:5-11 (Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus; who being in the
form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made Himself of no reputation,
and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being
found in fashion as a man, He made humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even
the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name
which is above every name: That at The Name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in
heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth. And that every tongue should confess
that Jesus Christ is Lord, to The Glory of God The Father.)
Isaiah 45:21-23 (Tell ye, and bring them near, yea, let them take counsel together: who hath
declare this from ancient time? Who hath told it from that time? Have not I The Lord? And
there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me. Look unto me,
and be saved, all the ends of the earth: For I am God, and there is none else. I have sworn by
myself, the Word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return. That unto me
every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall swear.)
Romans 9:5 (Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is
over all, God blessed for ever. Amen)
A Commentary: Matthew Henry opines, and I strongly agree that, the greatest honour of all
was that of them (Israel) as concerning the flesh (that is, as to His Human Nature) Christ
came; for He took on Him the seed of Abraham (Hebrew 2:16). As to His Divine Nature, He is
The Lord from Heaven; but as to His Human Nature, He is of The Seed of Abraham. This was
the privilege of the Jews that Christ was kin of them. Mentioning Christ, he (Paul) interposes a
very great word concerning Him (Jesus), that He is over all, God blessed for ever. Lest the Jews
should think meanly of Him, because He was of their alliance, He here speaks thus honourably
concerning Him: and it is a very full proof of The Godhead of Christ; He is not only over all, as
Mediator; but He is God blessed for ever. Therefore, how much sorer punishment were they
worthy of that rejected Him! It was like-wise the honour of the Jews, and one reason why
Paul had a kindness for them, that, seeing God blessed for ever would be a man, He would be a
Jew; and considering the posture and character of that people at that time, it may well be
looked upon as a part of His humiliation".
Since just before the rapture, all creatures will be transformed to their true natures- we will all
know as we are known in the Heavenlies; all eyes will be opened to see God as He truly is.
Consequently, every man should prepare to see The Consuming Fire and Most Dread YHWH
as He was when He created the universe and will ever remain (Matt.24:30, Jude 14-15), the
work of salvation having been completed (1 Corinthians 15:24-28)
Did Jesus pray to Himself?
God can not and does not need to pray! But Jesus has two natures: Son of God and God. As a
Man, He is The Son of God. As God, He is The Father (John 10:30, 12:45, and 13:31-32).
This was what made Matthew Henry (1712) to observe in Isaiah 9:6-7: that "…the same
that is the Mighty God is a Child born; the Ancient of Days becomes an infant of a span long;
The Everlasting Father is a Son given. Such was His condescension in taking our nature upon
Him. Thus did He humble and empty Himself, to exalt and fill us. Matthew Henry's
Commentary of The Bible.
Do the prayers of Christ indicate a distinction between Jesus and The Father? No. On the
contrary, His praying indicates a distinction between The Son of God and God. Jesus Himself
hinted on His Duality when He said "…The Father is me and I in The Father" (John 17:21).
This in essence signified the completeness of His Person whether as Manifested God or
Transcendent God.
Jesus prayed in His humanity, not in His capacity as The Deity. Any other interpretation will
denote inferiority in one or more persons of The Trinity and a complete negation of its precepts.
How can God pray to another and still be God? By definition, God in His omniscience and
omnipotence has no need to pray. The fact that there is only one God means there is no other to
whom He can pray to. If Jesus prayed in His capacity as God, then one of the persons in the
Godhead is subordinate to the other and therefore not fully or truly God. This position
however, will be anti-Bible.
What then, is the explanation of the prayers of Jesus Christ? It can only be that the human
nature of Jesus prayed to The Eternal Spirit of God. His Divine Nature did not need help; only
The Human Nature did â€" and He came to suffer for us in His Humanity. In Zechariah 12:10
as confirmed in Revelation 1:7-8, Jesus spoke in His Dual Nature - as the one who was to be
pierced and as The One giving the prophecy. As Jesus said at the Garden of Gethsemane, "The
Spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak" (Matt. 26:41). Hebrews 5:7 makes it clear that
Jesus needed to pray only during "the days of His Flesh". During the prayer at Gethsemane, the
human will submitted itself to the Divine Will. Through prayer His human Nature learned to
submit and be obedient to The Spirit of God (Philippians 2:8; Hebrews 5:7-8). This was not a
struggle between two divine wills, but a struggle between the Human and Divine Wills in
Jesus. As a man Jesus submitted Himself to and received strength from The Spirit of God or
more precisely, from God (God being The Holy Spirit). Now consider this statement closely:
"No one has ascended and descended from Heaven, except The Son of Man who is in Heaven".
(John 3:16). When Jesus uttered those indelible words, He was right here on earth but yet in
Heaven at the same time. God The Son does not correspond with our biological concept of son-
ship: it means God Manifested as Human. Ask the Jews why they always wanted to stone
Him, each time He referred to Himself as The Son of God. In fact on one occasion they told
Him plainly that they want to stone Him for making Himself God (John 10:33-36; 5:18). And
Jesus did not correct them on the proper interpretation of The Son of God, because they were
right! The Son of God is the carrier of The Godhead! (Zechariah 5:12-13, Colossian 1:19;
2:9-10). As He was on earth as Man-God, He was yet in Heaven as God Almighty.
Philippians 2:8 helps to explain that being found as Man, the Man aspect in Him humbled
itself before The God aspect of Him. This was the sense of Jesus praying to God: The Man in
Him prayed to The God He is.
Some may object to this explanation, contending that it means Jesus prayed to Himself.
However, we must realize that, unlike any other human being, Jesus had two perfect and
complete Natures - humanity and divinity. What would be absurd or impossible for an
ordinary man is not so strange with Jesus. We do not say Jesus prayed to Himself, for that
incorrectly implies Jesus had only one nature like ordinary men. Rather, we say The Human
Nature of Jesus prayed to The Divine Spirit of Jesus that dwelt in The Man as well as ruling
from Heaven. And so Jesus by His prayers, taught every man to pray to God as our Father or
Origin of our being.
Following from this, we can safely say that what Jesus meant when He cried, "My God, My
God, why hast thou forsaken me?" was that He had taken the place of sinful man on the cross
and was suffering the full punishment for sin. There was no abatement of suffering because of
His proximity to The Deity. Since all have sinned (Romans 3:23) and the wages of sin is death
(Romans 6:23), all mankind (except the sinless Christ) deserved to die. Christ took our place and
suffered the death that we deserved (Romans 5:6-9). Jesus was more than a courageous martyr
like Stephen and more than an Old Testament sacrifice, because He died in our place and
experience for a time the death we deserved. On The Cross, He tasted death for every man
(Hebrews 2:9). This was more than physical death; it also involved spiritual death, which is
separation from God (II Thessalonians 1:9; Revelation 20:14). The significance of the Cry on
The Cross is that The Divine Nature of Jesus completely separated from His Human Nature.
God as God and His Material Presence or Image had never separated, but the Humanity of
God being laden with universal sin caused The Holy God to separate from the imputed
unrighteousness of The Son of Man. But it was predicted that The Humanity of God will not
and can not see corruption in hell because He is The Holy One of Israel. It was The Man in
God that died and was quicken by The Divine in God after 3 days (1 Peter 3:18)
How do these help our understanding of John 16:7, 16, 25,
27-30?
Throughout His stay on earth, Jesus constantly reminded us that He proceeded from or came
out from The Father. Similarly, The Holy Spirit also came out from The Father. But He (Holy
Spirit) would not come to us until The Son returned to The Father. I do not know how many
people have cared to ask why. The Bible does not give any light in this respect, and we will not
speculate. But one thing is evident; it is further evidence that The Father has two Natures â€"
The Human and The Divine Spirit. It is because The Father has two natures that Matthew
Henry opined as regards Titus 2:13: that "The Great God and Saviour both refer to Jesus
Christ; for they are not two subjects but one only, as shown by the single article ˜THE' Christ
then is the Great God, not figuratively, as magistrates and others are sometimes called gods, or
as appearing and acting in the name of God, but properly and absolutely, The True God (1 John
5:20), The Mighty God (Isaiah (9:6)" Matthew Henry's Commentary of The Bible.
The Human Nature could relate with sinful men, but The Divine can not. The Divine Holy
Spirit is The Consuming Fire that kills everything unclean (this was how He related with
Israel prior to The Incarnation). But The Human Nature paid The Price for the debt of
humanity's uncleanness before God. Those who believe in the atoning death of God's
Humanity are cleansed and sanctified to welcome The Presence of The Divine Life to comfort,
teach, guide, empower and embolden them. This is why sinners and unbelievers can not have
The Presence of The Holy Spirit in them. The Human and Divine Natures are in The
Everlasting Father who sits upon the Only Throne of Power (The Right Hand of Power) in
Heaven (Ezekiel 1: 26-28, 2: 1-4).
What is the implication of 1 Corinthians 15:24-28?
On the 4th August 2009 I was meditating on I Corinthians 15:24-28. Within two minutes, I
was made to understand that it was meant to explain the different phases of the Rule of our
Saviour Jesus: when Jesus the Messiah (The Son of God) will hand over the church to Jesus the
LORD GOD (The Father of Life and Spirit). He is ruling in our hearts now as the Saviour but
will rule as God when He will appear at the second coming.
Frankly I still had reservation deep down in me but then I remembered Psalm 110:1-7 and I
believed the Holy Spirit that has been teaching me since 2007. Then on the 7th August 2009 I
had a confirmation to this light from the Matthew Henry Commentary (a book that was
completed in 1721)
It happened that I was studying his commentary of Titus 2:11-14 and the following were
unveiled from it:
"…the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ. This denotes both
the time of the accomplishment and the sureness of it: it will be at the second appearing of
Christ when He shall come in His own glory and in His Father's the Divinity, which on Earth
was much veiled will shine out then as the sun in its strength the comfort and joy of Christians
are that their Saviour is The Great God and will gloriously manifest Himself at His second
coming Jesus Christ, that Great God and our Saviour, who saves not simply as God, much less
as Man alone; but as God-Man. Two natures in one person: Man, that He might obey, and
suffer and die for man, and be meet to deal with him and for him; and God that He might
support the manhood, give worth and efficacy to his undertakings, and have due regard to the
rights and honour of the deity the human nature was offering, and the Divine the altar,
sanctifying the gift and the whole act of the person through the infinite dignity of His Person,
He who was God suffered though not as God. (He suffered in His Humanity). The acts and
properties of either nature are attributed to the person. God purchased His Church with His
own blood (Acts 20:28)"
Who lives in unapproachable eternal light?
Exodus 3:3-7, 14; 20:18-19; 33: 11, 20-23; and Isaiah 57:15 makes it clear that His name is
YHWH - the I Am and Father, however
I Timothy 1:17; 6:14-16, Romans 11:36; John 1:18; 6:46; 7:28-29; Daniel 3:25, Isaiah 6:1-5;
43:10, 13 and Genesis 32:30 identifies Him as the Son of GOD; who of course has been seen
by men of the Old and New Testaments. This is not a contradiction; apply your hearts to
wisdom: our GOD does not lie. It simply means that in all His dealing s with us, starting from
Adam to Abraham and others, He has been appearing in His Pre-Incarnate Material Essence”
the same form He was when He created the material universe. Inside that body or Material
Presence and also enveloping the body" in an inextricable reciprocity (John10:30, 38), is the
unapproachable Light of Godness" the Eternal Holy Spirit whom no man has seen. Paul in
Hebrews 10:20 calls Jesus the Veil through which GOD approached us! In other words,
without God's humanity, nay, without Jesus' humanity we wouldn't have had the opportunity
of approaching the Eternal Majesty.
In Psalms 104:1-2 He says that He covers Himself with dazzling light and that was why He,
YHWH told Moses, "no man sees my face and lives", but Jesus has seen Him because He is no
Man. Moreover, He is Him; and so YHWH, who lives in unapproachable light of Divine
Existence is the same Man called Jesus of Nazareth who manifested into our plane and form,
for our peace and salvation!
Who Is Pre-eminent In All Things?
Job 18:13 (It shall devour the strength of his skin. Even The First-born of death shall devour
his strength)
Job 15:7-8 (Art thou The First-man that was born? Or wast thou made before the hills?
Hast thou heard the secret of God? And dost thou restrain wisdom to thyself?)
Colossians 1:15-18 (Who is The Image of The Invisible God, The First born of every
creature: For by Him were all things created, that are in Heaven, and that are in earth, visible
and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions or principalities, or powers: all things were
created by Him, and for Him : And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist. And
He is the Head of the body, the church: who is the Beginning, The First-born from dead. That
in all things He might have the pre-eminence.)
A Commentary: Matthew Henry under guide of The Holy Spirit once again sets forth that,
concerning the person of The Redeemer. Glorious things are here said of Him; for blessed Paul
was full of Christ, and took all occasions to speak honourably of him. He speaks of Him
distinctly as God, and as Mediator. As God, he speaks of Him: (1) He is The Image of The
Invisible God. Not as man was made in the Image of God (Gen.1:27), in his natural facilities
and dominion over the creatures: no, He is The Express Image of His Person (Heb.1:3). (2) He
is The First-born of every creature. Not that he is Himself a creature; for it is (i.e. original
phrase in Latin) Prototokos pases ktiseos - born or begotten before all the creation, or (i.e.)
before any creature was made, which is the scripture-way of representing eternity, and by
which the eternity of God is represented to us: I was set up from everlasting, from the
beginning, or ever the earth was; when there was no depth, before the
mountains were settled, while as yet He had not made the earth (Prov.8:23-26).
It signifies His dominion over all things, as The First-born in a family is heir and lord of all, so
He is The Heir of all things (Heb. 1:2). The word, Prototokos, with only the change of accent,
signifies actively the first begetter or producer of all things, and so it well agrees (3) He is so far
from being Himself a creature that He is The Creator: for by Him were all things created, which
are in heaven and earth, visible and invisible. He made all things out of nothing, the highest
angel in Heaven, as well as men upon earth. He made the world, the upper and lower world,
with all the inhabitants of both. All things were made by Him, and without Him was not
anything made which was made (Jn. 1:3). Christ is The Eternal Wisdom of The Father, and the
world was made in wisdom. He is The Eternal Word, and the world was made by The Word of
God. He is The Arm of The Lord, and the world was made by that Arm. All things were
created by Him and for Him. Being created by Him, they were created for Him; being made by
His Power, they were made according to His pleasure and for His praise. He is The End, as
well as The Cause of all things. To Him are all things (Rom. 11:36). (4) He was before all
things. He had a being before the world was made, before the beginning of time, and therefore
from all eternity. Wisdom was with The Father, and possessed by Him in the beginning of His
Ways, before His works of old (Prov.8:22). And in the beginning The Word was with God and
was God (Jn.1:1). He not only had a being before He was born of the virgin but he had a being
before all time. (5) By Him all things consist. They not only subsist in their beings, but consist
in their order and dependences. He not only created them all at first, but it is by The Word of
His Power that they are still upheld (Heb.1:3). The whole creation is kept together by the
power of The Son of God, and made to consist in its proper frame. It is preserved from
disbanding and running into confusion. He is the beginning, the First-born from the dead,
arche, prototokos “the principle, the First-born from the dead; principle of our resurrection, as
well as the First-born Himself. All our hopes and joys take their rise from Him who is the
Author of our salvation. Not that He was the first who ever rose from the dead, but the first
and only who rose by His own power, and was declared to be the Son of God, and Lord of all
things. And He is the Head of the resurrection, and has given us an example and evidence of
our resurrection from the dead. He rose as the First-fruits (1 Cor. 15:20). He hath in all things
the pre-eminence.
The Meaning of The Truth?
John 18:33-34 (Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said
unto Him, Art thou The King of The Jews? And Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of
thyself or did others tell it thee of me?
John 18:37 (Pilate therefore said unto Him, Art thou a King then? Jesus answered; Thou
sayest that I am a King. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that
I should bear witness unto The Truth. Every one that is of The Truth heareth my voice.)
John 14:6 (Jesus saith unto him, I am The Way, The Truth and The Life, no man cometh unto
The Father but by me.)
1 John 5:20 (And we know that The Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding,
that we may know Him that is True, and we are in Him that is True, even in His Son Jesus
Christ. This is The True God and Eternal Life.)
Has The Arm of The LORD been revealed to you?
Isaiah 63:2-6 (Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth
in winefat? I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for
I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled
upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment. For the day of vengeance is in mine heart,
and the year of my redeemed is come. And I looked, and there was none to uphold: therefore
Mine Own Arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me. And I will tread down
the people in mine anger, and make them drunk in my fury, and I will bring down their
strength to the earth.)
Isaiah 51:9-10, 15 (Awake, awake, put on strength, O Arm of The LORD; awake, as in the
ancient days, in the generations of old, Art thou not it that hath cut Rahab, and wounded the
dragon? Art thou not it which hath dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that hath made
the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over. But I am The LORD thy God, that
divided the sea, whose waves roared: The LORD of hosts is His Name.)
Isaiah 53:1-2 (Who hath believed our report? And to whom is The Arm of The LORD
revealed? For He shall grow up before Him as a Root out of a dry ground: He hath no form nor
comeliness; and when we shall see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him.)
Who Is This Cloud Rider?
Exodus 23:20-23 (Behold I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring
thee into the place which I have prepared. Beware of Him, and provoke Him not: for He will
not He will not pardon your transgressions: for my Name is in Him. But if thou shalt indeed
obey His voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an
adversary unto thine adversaries. For mine Angel shall go before and bring thee in unto the
Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizites, and the Canaanites, and the Hivites, and the
Jebusites: and I will cut them off.)
Psalm 78:14, 17, 40-41 (In the daytime also He led them with a cloud and all the night with a
light of fire; And they sinned yet more against Him by provoking The Most High in the
wilderness. How oft did they provoke Him in wilderness, and grieve Him in the desert! Yea,
they turned back and tempted God, and limited The Holy One of Israel.) Ref: Hebrew 3:6-15;
Psalm 95:6-7)
Exodus 14:19 (And the Angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and
went behind them; and the pillar of cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them.)
Exodus 13:21 (And The LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them in
the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night.)
Exodus 16:10 (And it came to pass, as Aaron spake unto the whole congregation of the
children of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and, behold, The Glory of The
LORD appeared in the cloud.)
Exodus 19:16-17 (And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were
thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the Mount, and the voice of the trumpet
exceedingly loud so that all people that was in the camp trembled. And Moses brought forth
the people out of the camp to meet with God: and they stood at the nether part of the Mount.)
Exodus 34:5-6 (And The LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him (Moses) there, and
proclaimed the Name of The LORD. And The LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed,
The LORD, The LORD God, merciful, and gracious, long-suffering and abundant in goodness
and truth.)
1 Kings 8:10-11 (And it came to pass when the priest were come out of The Holy Place, that
the cloud filled the House of The LORD: so that the priests could not stand to minister because
of the cloud: for the Glory of The LORD had filled the House of The LORD.) Ref: 2
Chronicles 5:13-14
Revelation 1:7 (Behold, He cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also
which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen.)
Luke 21:27 (And they shall see The Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory)
Matthew 24:30 (And then shall appear the sign of The Son of Man in heaven: and then shall
all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see The Son of Man coming in the clouds of
heaven with power and great glory)
Psalm 18:10-12 (And He rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, He did fly upon the wings of the
wind. He made darkness His secret place; His pavilion round about Him was dark waters and
thick clouds of the skies. At the brightness that was before Him His thick clouds passed, hail
stones and coals of fire)
Psalm 104:2 (Who layeth the beams of His Chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds
His chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind.)
Mark 14:61-62 (But He held His peace, and answered nothing. Again the High Priest asked
Him, and said unto Him, art thou the Christ, The Son of The Blessed? And Jesus said, "I am:
and ye shall see The Son of Man sitting on the Right Hand of Power and coming in the clouds
of heaven)
Who is the Eternal Light?
Light, as a spiritual and physical phenomenon, is of inexhaustible importance to living things.
Because of its importance, some people have even gone ahead to worship the source of physical
light, which we all know, will eventually die out with this present system. But the LORD
GOD of Israel proclaimed in Isaiah 60:19-20 that He is the Eternal Light.
When Jesus, in the Gospels, declared that He is the Light of the world, most people thought
that He was merely referring only to a philosophical light. Obviously that claim went deeper
than that, because in Revelation 21:23, it is stated categorically that Jesus Christ is the Light
that will illuminate the coming eternal universe!
Moreover, this passage also adds that, it is the glory radiating from GOD that will be the
illuminant! Again Jesus, The Shepherd and The Lamb, is The Light!
By now, every sincere and rational being would have come to the obvious conclusion here. But
if a man will not accept this truth, let him break his neck in protest.
Who has ascended and descended from Heaven?
Proverbs 30:4; Psalms 33:6-9; and 68:18 says it is the LORD GOD our Creator while
Ephesians 4:8-10; Luke 24:51; John 2:13; 3:13; 6:51,62; Acts 1:9-11; Romans 10:6-7; I
Thessalonians 4:16, and I Peter 3:18-19 affirms that, that LORD GOD is Jesus Christ. Again
this is not a contradiction but a confirmation of the revelations of old. In fact Proverbs 30:4
helps to show that the LORD GOD is the one also called the Son of GOD; thus helping us to
understand that the term ‘Son of GOD' means the humanity of GOD or GOD covered with
His humanity (John 6:62, Luke 24:39).
Who alone swears by Heaven?
While Jesus was here, He restricted men from swearing because they use it cover up their lies.
Moreover, swearing is an invocation of infallibility and extreme might, matters which no man
can lay claim to. Swearing by the Capital of a Kingdom is the same as invoking the character,
power and capabilities of the King.
Jesus Christ said that Heaven is the seat of government of GOD; hence anyone who swears by
Heaven invokes GOD's greatness, absolute reliability and infallibility. Deuteronomy 32:40
declares that the only One who has the right to swear by Heaven is the invisible LORD GOD
of Israel. . This is can be paralleled by the statement GOD made to Abraham, "because I could
not find any other greater than me, therefore I swore by myself" But in Revelation 10:1-6, the
description of the Majesty of the Angel of the LORD show that Jesus Christ is the LORD
GOD who has the exclusive right to swear by Himself. Recall that the phrase, "The Angel of
the LORD" refers to "The Material Presence of GOD while on earth" (Genesis 22:11-12,
21:17-18).
Who is the Creator; how many are they?
Upon this question lie the very symbol of the divine and, an understanding of the Trinity. As
recorded in Isaiah 40:12-14, 18, 21-22; the Creator is the Eternal Holy Spirit. Isaiah 40:28;
42:5; 44:24; 45:11-12, 18, 21; 48:12-13;51:13; 54:5; and Genesis 1:1, 26-27 speaks of the
Creator as the LORD GOD while the John 1:3, 10; Colossians 1:16-17 and Hebrews 1:10
confirms that the Holy Spirit and LORD GOD spoken about is no other but Jesus Christ. And
to the number of the creator(s), Isaiah 44:24 answers once and for all that the Creator was
alone in His activities; meaning that those appellations above refer to one GOD in different
dimensions of operations and not three Gods.
Before we conclude on this point, we must say that before the universe came into being, it was
designed and properly surveyed. Genesis 1:2 and Isaiah 40:12-14, 28 all agree that the designer
of the universe is the Spirit of GOD, while Proverbs 30:4 and Job 38:4-6 say it was the LORD
GOD. But we now know who all these appellations refer to.
Does GOD share His Glory?
Isaiah 42:8; 43:11; 44:6; 45:6; 48:11; Exodus 20:3-5; 34:14; Deuteronomy 6:13-15; 4:23:24,
35; 5:7-9 all confirm that GOD does not joke with nor share His Glory with any other entity
whether in Heaven or in Earth. However Revelation 19:4 states that all glory and worship
belongs to the one GOD who seats upon the only Throne of Majesty; who is this King? Psalms
45:1-11; John 9:38; 11:4; Revelation 4:11; 5:8-14; and 7:9-12 (compare with Revelation 4;
10-11 and 5:11-12) affirm that, that King and GOD is neither a substanceless figment of our
imagination nor a philosophical concept but The Man, Jesus Christ. The Man whom the wisest
of yesteryears traveled miles, just to be among the first to pay Him His due respects (Matthew
2:1-2, 11). In fact Zechariah in Zechariah 6:12-13 records that this Man is the bearer of the
Glory itself! In other words He is the custodian of the Glory and if there was need for sharing
He will be the one to give from His store of Glory to a deserving recipient!
With a little bit of rational thinking we could ask ourselves, "why was the King of the Jews
due for worship why did the best in Asia rejoice at the birth of this King" (Matthew 2:9-10).
Israel was not a superpower" in fact she was under the Roman yoke, so the actions of these
magi could not have been politically motivated.
Common people, is it everyday that a continent's best scientists go to welcome the birth of an
obscure infant with no visible trace of royal blood? It is so obvious that it was given these men
to see the mystery that the King of the Jews was the Messiah of the whole world and therefore
the LORD GOD" the recipient of all true worship. The Bible is so well encoded that you just
need to open a page to uncover and encounter the life giving and illuminating Truth called
Jesus Christ!
Whose word stands for ever?
Only men who are infallible, all knowing and almighty can speak words which can never be
overturned. A lesser power can always expect his deeds to be countered if it does not agree with
that of the higher authority. In Isaiah 40:8 the LORD GOD said only His words are
incontrovertible and everlasting. In the Gospels, Jesus Christ said that Heaven and Earth may
pass away but not even a jot of His words will remain unfulfilled, or put in another way, His
words are eternal!
Let Israel bow before his King. Selah.
Whose Throne last for ever?
Psalms 10:16; 93:1-2; Daniel 7:9-10; I Thessalonians 2:12; Isaiah 6:1-5; Ezekiel 1:26-28; 8:2;
10:1 and Revelation 4:2-11 all reveal that the one who owns the splendour and the throne is
none other but GOD, the LORD of Heaven and Earth. To quickly cast in our minds the true
identity of the LORD GOD referred to above and to dispel any doubt about His personality,
Psalms 45:3-6; 72:1-17; Daniel 11:27; Zechariah 6:12-13; Luke 1:31-33; II Timothy 4:1, 18;
Colossians 1:13; Hebrews 1:8 and Revelation 7:15-17 all rush to our rescue by making it
abundantly clear the LORD GOD is the same one who took a human body in order to dwell
among men. Moreover the scriptures above further aver that the throne that we are talking
about belongs to Him and He carries the glory of the throne and the Kingdom with Him! This
means the Throne and the Kingdom are part and parcel of Him â€" He doesn't drop them in any
one place because He is everywhere and because they are so exclusively His own anywhere He
is, there they are.
Please tell me, for I am a simple mind, who then is GOD if the one who carries the Glory is not
the LORD GOD. Please counter my folly well because I have never seen where the man who
has the exclusive prestige of wielding the powers of the Head of State is not the Head of State,
or accept with me that the same LORD is He who is called Jesus, the Son of Man.
Who is the Alpha and Omega?
This is one great attribute of GOD that set Him apart from other pretenders. He is the only
One who can go back into the past while still remaining in the present. He is also the beginning
and end of all matters. He is The One who started the universe and The One who end
everything. In Isaiah 41:4, 44:6 and 48:12-13 the LORD GOD proclaims Himself by this
exclusive title. We find however, that in Revelation 21:5-6, 22:13 and Colossians 1:17, Jesus
Christ is addressed by this title. In fact, in Revelation 22:16 He calls Himself the Root and
Offspring; which means He is the One who started it all, the support, the source and at the
same time the One who uses the fruit of His body to accomplish His will!
Men will cease to be men if they feign ignorance of the truth laid before us here.
Who Owns the Holy Spirit anyway?
A major transformation in the life of a regenerated soul is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, the
promise of the Father as recorded in Joel 2:28-29. As stated in Joel, the one who promised the
gift is also the owner of the gift as confirmed in Romans 8:9; I Corinthians 6:11; II
Corinthians 3:3; Luke 11:13 and I John 4:2. But in Matthew 3:11, John the Baptist reveals
that the one who said He will ‘pour His Spirit' in Joel 2:28 is the same one who will
‘baptise with the Holy Spirit'; specifically he identified this Giver and Owner as the LORD
Jesus Christ. A few scriptural evidences will suffice in this regard: Romans 8:9-10; II
Corinthians 3:17-18 and I Peter 1:11-12. And having known that GOD does not toy with
what is exclusively His; we are left with the conclusion that GOD the Father is the same GOD
in flesh â€" Jesus Christ.
Who is the Holy Spirit?
If the revelation contained in our discourse on the owner of the Holy Spirit is not enough to
provoke believe in the tri-personality of Jesus, perhaps examining the person called the Holy
Spirit will suffice:
I John 4:15 says that GOD dwells in whoever confesses Jesus as the Son of GOD; the only
means this can take place in a human is through the Holy Spirit, hence this verse is actually
stating the obvious â€" the Holy Spirit is the GOD of Heaven and Earth, the same one that
dwells in Christian believers!
Jesus Himself in Mark 13:11 said that the one to inspire and guide our witnessing is the Holy
Spirit. Apostle Paul expatiated on this in Ephesians 3:17 when he said that the one to inspire
us to understand the breadth, length, height and depth of what we profess as Christianity is
the LORD Jesus Christ Himself dwelling in our hearts, comparing these two positions we
quickly get understanding on what Christ was teaching us â€" that He is that Holy Spirit.
Some of the workings of the Holy Spirit are to comfort and strengthen us in our ministry but in
II Timothy 4:17-18 and Philippians 4:13, Paul once again identifies the one who did these for
him as Jesus Christ. Coming from another perspective, Romans 8:11says that the quickening
spirit is the Holy Spirit of GOD, the same power that raised Jesus from the dead - here is an
unveiling,; at the resurrection, the Holy Spirit came back into His mortal body and it was
transformed into an incorruptible and transcendental living human body (compare with I Peter
3:18). However in I Corinthians 15:45 and 47, this quickening spirit is called the LORD from
Heaven and in II Corinthians 3:3 and 17, Apostle Paul without mincing words, affirms that
the Holy Spirit is the LORD Jesus Christ. As the one speaking to the churches, Jesus proclaims
seven times that He is the Holy Spirit (Revelation 2:7, 11, 17, 29; 3:6, 13 and 22). By that
number of times, He was sounding it very clearly that He is the LORD GOD.
Call Him Father, Son or Holy Spirit; He remains the same as He was yesterday, today and
forever" the true GOD and eternal life (I John 5:20, Jude 4); the same one who put His flesh on
the alter of the cross (I John 3:16, Titus 2:13-14) that you and I may be free from the coming
condemnation; He is the same GOD that desires that all come into full understanding of His
true being (Jeremiah 9:24; Ephesians 4:13).
Who gives Spiritual gifts?
Another transformation in the life of a believer is that He has one or more spiritual gifts which
are given to aid the growth of the church. Just as we have argued elsewhere in this essay, one
can only give from a store he has absolute control over because giving from where one has
limited power has unpleasant consequence; one of which is that the real owner can revoke the
gift at anytime without recourse to any discussion with the secondary giver. James 1:17;
Hebrews 2:4 and Romans 12:3-8 are just few scriptural evidence that declare that the giver of
spiritual gifts is the LORD GOD, however Ephesians 4:7-12 states that the giver is the
LORD Jesus Christ while I Corinthians 12:4-11 declares that the giver of the gifts listed in I
Corinthians 12:4-10 (compare with Ephesians 4:11-12), is the Holy Spirit. Again this is a clear
indication that these natures belong to one and the same GOD.
For who was the gate of hell opened?
The Bible is categorical on the status of the one who has the ability to sit in Heaven and yet
can descend into the lower parts of the Earth were Death and Hades have the authority to
detain in perpetuity, even spirits; in fact all who go near their gates are held captive
irrespective of class and rank. Job 38:17 and Psalms 24:7-10 describe the only one to have ever
made this journey and came back without restrain as the King of Glory; the LORD GOD of
Heaven and Earth. While we were not there to see when He made the first of such spiritual
journey, our opportunity came when He descended into the depths of the Earth at His burial to
set the captives free (Matthew 27:52), and came out at His resurrection. And so it was
confirmed before all humanity, that the King of Glory is the LORD Jesus Christ (Ephesians
4:9 and I Peter 3:19-20).
In fact Jesus speaks of His Death and Resurrection thus, "…I was dead and behold I am
alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of Death and Hades…by my death I went to the
ends of the universe to reverse the Statute of Death placed on all the children of Adam…when
I got there, Death and Hades recognised me as their LORD and King, bowed before me and
handed over the delegated authority I had given them; and so they could not detain me as their
general order was. I left when I wanted to; and so will all who believe that I am He"
(Revelation 1:18 paraphrased).
Without controversy, the one who has the exclusive right to tread where men and spirits dread;
the same one who was so relaxed in jail so much so that He had the luxury of preaching to
spirits even in captivity, and had enough power to set free repentant spirits; the same one is the
LORD GOD, the man Jesus Christ!
Who was tempted in the wilderness by Israel?
Psalms 78:18, 41, 56; 95:7-11 records that it was the LORD GOD, I Corinthians 10:9 points
to Christ while Hebrews 3:7-11 says it was the Holy Spirit.
Now since it is not possible that tempting one person is equal to tempting three, it means that
GOD doesn't run a parallel government with any other divine being. It suffices then to
conclude that the provocation to anger was experienced by only one GOD, the same GOD who
had chosen our generation to make known His physical form, the man called Jesus of Nazareth.
Who needed a forerunner?
Malachi 3:1; 4:5 calls Him LORD GOD while Matthew 17:10-13 calls Him Jesus; and since
it was only one Christ that appeared we know exactly who the LORD GOD is. Moreover,
Jesus Christ, with His own mouth confirmed that John the Baptist was that forerunner
(Matthew 11:10), which was another way of pointing out Himself to the people of Israel.
Never mind Dad, you did enough; we know exactly who you are.
Who intercedes for humanity?
Humanity is what it is, sin prone and helplessly obstinate in its unholy desires, and GOD is
who He is, inseparable from holiness. The two can not have any lasting or useful relationship
except there is a worthy advocate who can successfully secure a stay-of-execution order for
reprobate and apostate humanity, who by Divine and Irrevocable judgment ought to be
destroyed the moment it tries to contaminate GOD's good creation'. Again, because humanity
lacks the intellect to have intelligent communication with the Divine, there is a need for a
divine translator. In the same vein; humanity has neither the capacity to set the priority of its
needs right and in conformity with divine plan, nor the ability to engage the Divine in a logical
debate, hence the need for it to have a worthy and loyal mediator.
However I Samuel 2:25 and Isaiah 59:16 show that it takes GOD to beg GOD; yet humanity
needs it kind to represent it, and it is an acceptable principle of conflict resolution that a
mediator must be acceptable to all parties in a dispute. In the matter between GOD and man,
the mediator must be both GOD and man in order to help us in our predicaments. That is, the
ideal mediator must be GOD in order to represent GOD, and man in order to represent man.
But Romans 8:26 declares that this job is the exclusive preserve of the Holy Spirit! On the
surface it seems that man has been short-changed here. But Isaiah 53:12; I Timothy 2:5;
Hebrews 2:17,18; 4:14-15; 7:25; 12:24 and I John 2:1 are all in agreement in declaring that
Jesus Christ is our representative, advocate, ambassador and intercessor; effectively suggesting
that the man called the Holy Spirit is also called the Son of Man, humanity's loyal mediator.
In Luke 22:31-32 Jesus showed that He has the power to see and intercede against a problem
before it arises - just imagine how He interceded for Peter's restoration even before frail Peter
failed his Master. The stakes are however upped in Romans 8:27 and 34 where we are led to
see that Jesus Christ searches the hearts, even of the Holy Spirit so He can intercede for us
according to the will of GOD. If there was any doubt on the identity of the one who searches
hearts and minds, Jesus dispels it by stating that He is the one (Revelation 2:23). The first
lesson here is that the Holy Spirit is GOD Himself. Secondly whoever can search the mind of
the Holy Spirit must be the Holy Spirit before He can accurately unlock every nuance of
thought the Holy Spirit has and will have concerning a person's matter.
There is something to be learnt here:
Since the Holy Spirit is the Purposer or the Cause of causes, it means He can at will rearrange
His thoughts. The implication is that any one less than Him can not know His thoughts
because they are hidden in Him and subject to His will. The fact that Jesus knows the thoughts
of the Holy Spirit is as true as the fact I know my thoughts and when I have changed them!
We are left to exclaim like Apostle Paul that, the Lord Jesus is the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians
10:4, 2 Corinthians 3:17).
Who causes the resurrection?
 One of the motivations behind the way of life called Christianity is the hope of resurrection;
without it, Paul calls them (Christians) the most miserable human specie.
Men of old trusted in GOD no matter their privation and pains because they had hope in the
resurrection.
Job, a man personally drilled and persecuted by Satan, was convinced that on the day of
resurrection all his pains and losses will go away (Job 19:25-27).
Moses, a man raised in ungodly opulence, opted to suffer for Christ if only to win His favour
on the day of resurrection (Hebrews 11:24-26).
Thus, right from pre-historic times, men who trusted and walked with GOD did so because
they had hope of a better life after the resurrection. It is therefore of prime importance to
uncover the identity of the power behind the resurrection, the one whom men of old and present
day believers trusted to grant them a better deal of existence.
Psalms 49:15; 68:19-20; Acts 10:40; Romans 4:24-25; 10:9; I Thessalonians 1:10; I
Corinthians 15:15 and II Corinthians 4:14 all chorus in unison that the man is called GOD; on
whose table are placed all matters pertaining to the resurrection. I Peter 3:18 and Romans
8:9-11 take us deeper into the nature of this GOD by referring to Him as the Holy Spirit; and
reasoning by substitution leads us to the conclusion that this Holy Spirit is Jesus Christ. In
fact Jesus Himself adds credence to this assertion when He proclaimed in John 2:19 that He is
the one who will cause His own resurrection. Then in John 11:25, He puts a seal on the claim
by stating in the clearest term: "I Am The Resurrection". That was an everlasting declaration of
the Deed of Ownership - the registration of an exclusive patent right!
Believe on Him now so that He might raise you to everlasting blessing otherwise He will raise
you to die a more painful death.
Who draws men to salvation?
Just like any other miracle, salvation is a divine intervention; and just like every other miracle,
it is preceded by a desire or by acknowledging a state of lack and helplessness. Then the Divine
steps in to perform the humanly impossible.
The identity of the power behind this miracle called salvation is therefore important to those
who have experienced it and for those who desire to have this priceless gift: Romans 4:17;
8:28-30; 9:11, 18; I Thessalonians 2:12; II Thessalonians 2:13-14 and I Peter 5:10 all point to
GOD the Father as the one who makes the call to salvation; He is the one who calls every one
to come. When those who realise they have a spiritual need respond, He then steps in to seal
them for eternal glory. To ensure that we are not left to speculate on the identity of this GOD
in question, a clarification is given in John 11:52; 12:32; II Peter 1:3; II Timothy 2:3-4; Acts
2:39; Matthew 20:16 and 25:12, to the intent that we might know that the Head of State and
Commander- in-Chief of the redeemed hosts of Heaven and Earth; the owner of the Kingdom
and the one who determines who to let in, is Jesus Christ, the GOD who was formerly far from
us but has now come near, by appearing in a likeness like our own flesh. Up to this very day
He is still knocking (Revelation 3:20) expecting that you will hear Him and respond for your
own good.
Who is the Fountain of Living Waters?
Whereas Psalms 23:2 hinted at the desirability of still waters to the human soul, Revelation
7:17 discloses the LORD spoken about in Psalm, by putting a name on Him Jesus Christ.
Jeremiah 2:12-13 declares that the only water to be desired is the one from the Living
Fountain; the water that purifies, energises, refreshes and sustains the human spirit. In the
passage quoted above, the LORD GOD of Israel is the Fountain of Living Waters while in
John 4:10, 14, Jesus Christ confirms that He is the owner of that Fountain, and hence the
LORD GOD. Again here it is confirmed that the LORD GOD is Jesus Christ; that is why He
was bold enough to call all who are thirsty to come and drink from Him. As He called when He
was physically here, today He is still calling out to every thirsty soul to come and have a drink
on Him.
I hope you will come and drink for your own good.
Who purifies?
A key factor in the success of the relationship between man and GOD is that man must assume
his pre-fall pristine status. By all standards, man has consistently failed to take responsibility
for assuming or living out this all important nature. Even when GOD gave the House of Israel
the ordinances of purification, they could not consistently follow the rules. If man is incapable
of purifying himself, who can help him? Psalms 51:1-2, 7, 9-10; 103:12; Isaiah 1:18, 24-26;
48:10; Zechariah 3:9 and 13:9 declare that the one who cleans, blots and purges men of
impurity is still the one who refines, sanctifies and create a new heart for the penitent and
contrite soul. The passages above are united in affirming that this person is called GOD.
Isaiah 53:5-6, 10-11 teaches us the cost of the sanctification, and at whose expense He
performs the purification. Then in Romans 15:16 we are reminded that this GOD in question is
the Holy Spirit. To cap it all up, the identity of this LORD GOD is unveiled as Jesus Christ
(Malachi 3:2-4, Matthew 3:12, Colossians 1:2, Titus 2:13-14, Hebrews 2:11). Interestingly,
we are enlightened that He is the one who demands purity, The Purifier and The Cost of the
purification! Little wonder then, that He was confident to say publicly, "Those who do not
believe that I am He, will die with their impurity and risk all the consequences of such death"
(John 8:24, paraphrased).
I pray earnestly that all who read this book will believe with all their heart in the LORD Jesus
Christ, the GOD who used His flesh to buy our pardon so He can present us blameless before
Him, at His glorious appearing.
Can you unlock the mystery of the love at work here? The Purifier, The Price of the
purification, is still the ultimate Judge of the state of our purity! Yet He is alone as He
performs all these actions, meaning that He is the only GOD.
Who owns the Book of Life?
Right from the time of pre-historic believers, it was common knowledge that records are kept
for those who will be granted to have eternal life and those that will face eternal damnation. It
is also commonsensical to expect that the person who commissioned and keeps such high profile
documents must be the owner and the one with the ultimate power to decide who stays on
which list, and who is taken off a particular list. Such a person must be the ultimate righteous
Judge, because of the sensitivity of each case â€" any error of judgment has eternal
consequences! Such a Judge must be GOD, and in deed He is, because Malachi 3:16-17 and
Revelation 20:12 attest that books and the Book of Life are being written and that the
commissioner is the LORD GOD. As is the fashion in this analysis, may I add that, that
LORD GOD revealed to the ancient Hebrews as YHWH has now been revealed to us as Jesus
Christ, the Lamb of Redemption; the same one that owns the Book of Life (Revelation 13:8,
21:27). Moses, while interceding for rebellious Israel put, his own destiny on the line by asking
the one who writes and deletes names, to blot out his own if He sticks with His plans of
erasing the House of Israel from His Book (Exodus 32:32); and just as He replied Moses
(Exodus 32:33), He is telling us today (Revelation 3:5); only those who turn back from the
Kingdom will He remove from His Book of Life.
Hold us LORD, with your powerful right hand that our names may found in the Book of Life,
Amen.
Who is coming back to Earth?
This is a central subject in Christianity â€" the expectation that the Messiah will one day come
back to render judgments upon the Earth. The ancient members of the House of Israel call this
expectation the day of the LORD GOD.
Job, even in his pains was certain of seeing his redeemer, the LORD GOD in the flesh when
He (Redeemer) shall stand upon the Earth (Job 19:25-27). This expectation is another key to
use in discovering the identity of the true GOD because Zechariah 14:5, Deuteronomy 33:2-3;
Joel 2:1,11; Isaiah 35:4 and 66:15 submit that He who is coming back is the LORD GOD. Yet
we know for certain that the man who is coming back is our redeemer and LORD, Jesus Christ
(Matthew 24:30; Mark 13:26; I Corinthians 16:22; I Corinthians 15:23; Revelation 3:11; 4:8;
22:20; Jude 14-15; I Thessalonians 3:13). Paul in Titus 2:13, puts the identity of the man
coming back beyond doubt; He is the one who is both the LORD GOD and the Saviour.
We are therefore left to conclude that the LORD GOD and Jesus Christ refer to one and the
same, because it is. He is the GOD that was, is, and is to come; He was here before, is now in
Heaven and a few days from now, He will come back again. Halleluyah!
LORD, give us more oil in the lambs that we may not burn out our lights before you come.
Who is both Shepherd and Head of humanity?
Humanity can be likened to a perpetually truant-prone sheep raised on a free range, feeding
and wandering away from the safety of their sheepfold. Left alone, every human sheep has the
tendency to wander towards self-destruction oblivious of the many wolves and lions lined up
on its paths, waiting to prey on its delicate flesh. It is on the basis of this that humanity
required a brave and loving shepherd to groom, guide and guard it from its most powerful arch-
enemy. The Bible in Psalm 23:1; 95:7 and Isaiah 40:9-11 are just few evidence that declare
that the LORD GOD is the only worthy and capable shepherd of humanity, especially against
the backdrop that a very powerful and ferocious lion is on the prowl looking for lost and
vulnerable sheep to devour (I Peter 5:8). In Ezekiel 34:6-15 and 31, the LORD GOD declares
that it is His duty to search and rescue His sheep (the very job the Messiah said brought Him to
Earth). To prove to us our LORD GOD is not a shepherd that just sits in Heaven as an
imaginary shepherd, He was revealed in the flesh as the man Jesus Christ, the good Shepherd of
our souls; the one who unlike an hireling of a shepherd, put His own life in fatal danger so He
can set free captured and mutilated humanity from the claws and teeth of its arch predator. I
have no qualms then in submitting that the LORD GOD who has been shielding humanity
from self destruction, is the same one who manifested as the LORD Jesus Christ (Zechariah
13:7; Matthew 26:31; John 10:11; I Peter 2:25; I Peter 5:4); the Chief Shepherd and Guardian
of our souls. What He has been doing in the spiritual plane, He manifested in the physical at
the appointed time.
Whose Name is preached and revered among the Gentiles?
Before Jesus Christ came, the name YHWH did not have much currency outside Israel. But
with Jesus' coming, it has been preached, believed and revered among Gentiles continuously in
the last 2000 years. And so without further ado, I conclude that the LORD GOD's name,
which YHWH said will be revered among the Gentiles (Malachi 1:11, Psalms 45:17) is the
same that is being praised today as Jesus Christ (Romans 15:9-12).
As can be observed in psalms 45 above; the very chapter where YHWH the Father
acknowledges His humanity as the LORD GOD, He further proclaims that the Son's name is
to be worshipped forever. Elsewhere, He hinted that the one to cause YHWH's name to be
known is the LORD GOD! Of course we now know the identity of this LORD GOD! Psalms
9:10; Isaiah 60:3 and 55:5, state that YHWH's Name will be published and made known to
all the Gentiles; Zechariah 13:9; Colossians 1:27-28 and Philippians 2:9 reveal that The Name
being preached about is Jesus Christ YHWH's most exalted Name in these last days and
beyond! In Joel 2:32 and Psalms 54:1, it is said that YHWH's Name brings salvation but in
Acts 4:12; 16:31 and Matthew 12:21 we are told there is no other name in Heaven or Earth
that can guarantee salvation except The Name, Jesus Christ in other words, Jesus is YHWH's
Name that brings salvation. In fact Matthew 1:21 informs us that the Name Jesus actually
means ˜YHWH is Saviour'”. Accept Him as your GOD or continue to despise and blaspheme
His name to your own hurt. As it is with Jesus, this was predicted in Isaiah 49:7, 52:5-6 and
Jude 15. Which other name called GOD is more loathed today than the name of Jesus? Answer
that for your self and discover who YHWH is!
It is common practice among occultist groups to disparage, debase, despise and blaspheme The
Name of Jesus. Ask them, if they will be truthful, they will tell you it is a cardinal
indoctrination subject. They can continue their insult and if they care, publicly, because it only
reinforces my illumination on whom the real God is.
Who is the ultimate Revealer?
One of the attributes of He that is God is that He must be able to reveal hidden things
accurately. GOD in psalms 44:21 and Isaiah 48:3-8 made known that it is the character of He
that is God to declare events before they happen, He then challenges whoever wants to contest
that seat with Him to a duel of revelation prowess. In support of this, Daniel in Daniel
2:27-28; Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel 2:47 and Jesus in Matthew 16:17 all concur that the only
perfect revealer is Almighty GOD. To prove that He walks His talk, He named an emperor for
an empire that was not yet founded (Isaiah 45:1-6), and in Daniel 2:31-45, chapters 7, 8, and
11; without ambiguity He outlined future world events in a chronology that astounds even the
worst skeptic.
Thus, this exclusive attribute help us to pin down the identity of the LORD GOD, because in
Psalms 45:4; Luke 24:45; Matthew 13:11 and Hebrews 4:12-13, it is stated that Jesus Christ
is the revealer. And just like YHWH, He proved His exclusive power by detailing in the Book
of Revelations, events leading to the apocalypse at Armageddon.
If a right is exclusively GOD's and Jesus has it, then we can only say that the LORD GOD
and Jesus Christ refer to one person.
Who was disappointed with Israel?
After spending time and money to show a person your way of life, it will be sore disappointing
if such a person acts in the very opposite of what you were trying to prevent. In Deuteronomy
32:10-20, Moses under the unction of the Holy Spirit declared the future spiritual state of
Israel and GOD's unhappiness with them. This is echoed in Psalms 81:4-12, Isaiah 5:1-7,
12-14, Hosea 5:2-7 and 9:1 where the LORD GOD complained bitterly of how Israel had
rendered a waste all the effort He put in to win his love. It is a common business fact that the
man who made an investment is the one who feels the full weight and pangs of a loss. How did
Jesus get to be disappointed? When did He make His investment? Why would His tone and
mood in John 8:26, 37-47 and Matthew 21:33-45 show He was very disappointed with the
House of Israel? Why did He suggest they were acting below expectation? He Himself answers
them in John 8:47 by implying that He is the LORD GOD who has invested heavily on Israel.
More dramatically, in Matthew 23:31-chapter 24:1-2, Jesus makes known His disappointment
with Israel and because He departed the Temple in anger, the glory of the Temple left with
Him; as they say the rest is history.
For Jesus to be disappointed with Israel is a proof that He is the LORD GOD because what
He showed in the spiritual, He confirmed in His flesh.
Who spoke in parables to Israel?
Because the House of Israel had turned away from following the LORD GOD, He himself
proceeded to teach them in parables. This was to ensure that those who are wise in their eyes do
not get to understand the simplicity of the hard nut called salvation (Isaiah 28:13 and
29:10-14). Mark 4:10-12, 33-34 and Luke 8:10 however, reveal the identity of the LORD
GOD who vowed to teach Israel with parables.
Who gives fulfilling rest?
One of the promises of GOD is to give those who respect Him, is eternal and fulfilling rest. In
Exodus 33:14, YHWH the Father promises to give rest to the House of Israel. But in Hebrews
3:11, it is said that the Holy Spirit didn't give all of the House of Israel rest because of
disobedience.
Hebrews 4:4-10 is a bit knotty but when looked closely it helps us in unveiling the mystery of
GOD. Here it can be seen that GOD the Creator after His creation rested, promising rest to
obedient followers; which they did not get in the physical. Similarly, GOD the Redeemer after
completing His mission also rested but not before He clarified that the rest spoken about was
spiritual (Matthew 11:29, Revelation 6:11), He also granted all who died in His Name to enter
into rest until the physical Kingdom was given to them.
Putting all together, we observe that all the natures of GOD had at one point or the other
promised rest to faithful followers, and since there is only one place of rest and only one group
of those resting; all expecting one LORD to avenge their blood, it follows that all these natures
referred to one GOD â€" Jesus Christ. The Father had earlier shown the House of Israel the
place of rest; obviously in Him (Isaiah 28:12) and when Jesus rephrased the same words, “come
unto me all you weary. I will give you rest", He wasn't a rival to or trying to usurp the powers
of the Father. When He uttered those indelible words, He was just expounding that He is the
Father who gives eternal rest to deserving disciples!
Now we see why everything about Jesus' crucifixion was timed to ensure He did no official
work on the Sabbath; to correspond with the day His Spiritual nature rested from creating the
physical universe.
Here is a little mystery: His spiritual Essence created the physical worlds while His physical
Essence recreated the spiritual worlds; by so doing He merged the two spheres of existence into
one and so we are required to have two perfect natures before we can enjoy our eternal rest in
the coming Kingdom, as physical beings with spiritual existence.
Who will create a new Heaven and Earth?
The expectation of Christians is that at the fullness of time, they will have the capacity to
ascend and descend between Heaven and Earth, when the new Heaven and Earth is created.
This was what ancient believers hoped to gain by following and worshipping GOD. It is said
that the new Heaven and Earth are cities where every thing is made by GOD (Hebrews 11:10).
But in II Peter 3:13, Jesus promised to give a new Heaven and Earth to His followers. This
was the same promise He made in John 14:2-3. So I asked myself, can someone promise what is
not His? Was He really the builder? Revelation 19:4 records that the man on the Throne is
GOD, and in Revelation 21:5-6 the man on the Throne is described as the Alpha and Omega
and He says He is the one to make new things. Then in Revelation 1:8 and 17-18, the Alpha
and Omega is identified as Jesus Christ. Therefore the GOD on the Throne who promised to
create a new Heaven and Earth is the LORD Jesus, and since there is only one GOD who sits
upon the Throne, Jesus is the same as the LORD GOD who spoke in Isaiah 66:21-24 and
65:17-18.
Once again, this is proof that Jesus is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Who has gone to prepare a place for the saints?
Every Christians knows that the man who has gone to prepare or should I say, who has already
prepared a place for His saints, is the Lord Jesus Christ. But Isaiah 64:4 says that the One
who has gone to do that is the LORD GOD! Any question, any body?
Who is called the Rock?
The symbolism of the rock conjures images of strength, provision, refuge, dependability and
immutability. Any man likened to it must be capable to deliver 100% in all these matters.
Being a symbol that connotes the highest powers, it is not surprising that Deuteronomy 32:4,
15, 18; II Samuel 22:2-3, 32, 47; Habakkuk 1:12; Psalms 31:2-3 and 18:31 all ascribe this
great quality to the LORD GOD. Indeed He is the worthy defense and fortress of salvation
and from His belly flow fountains of living waters.
It is therefore a code for declassification of the Godhead, if such a title is attributed to Jesus.
In Matthew 21:44 Jesus describes Himself as a fearful stone that hurts either way when it is
provoked! Isaiah under influence the Holy Spirit calls Jesus Christ the Stronghold, dependable
rock of salvation and security (Isaiah 17:10), under the same influence Paul reveals that He
(Jesus) is The Rock (I Corinthians 10:4), the one that has been described since the foundation of
the world.
By this declaration, the connection is unmistakable between YHWH (Yahu, Yahweh), The
Rock and Yahushua (Yeshua), The Rock: they refer to one and the same person; Jesus!
Who is the Lord?
Without further ado, Isaiah 6:1, 3, 5; 10:33 and 19:4 show that the Lord is the LORD GOD
of Israel. Put differently, the lord is the physical manifestation of the LORD GOD. This
position also finds expression in Genesis 18:1-3, 22-27 and 32-33 amongst others. It is no
longer news that the Lord refers to Jesus Christ which is a direct attestation that He is the
LORD GOD. This invariably means that the Antichrist is the material manifestation of
Lucifer or Satan finally localized by a human form. Now, back to our analysis; King David
was inspired to say, "The LORD said unto my Lord, sit down at my right hand until I make
your enemies your footstool" (Psalms 110:1). Compare this to I Corinthians 15:24-27 where it is
clear that it is the Lord is the LORD who is subduing all His enemies! This is the same position
held by Psalms 110:5-7. Indeed it is the Lord Jesus Christ who is hard at work. Looking
closely, we observe that the LORD declared He will put down all His enemies so that the Lord
can rule without rebellion. Similarly, the Lord is in the process of subjugating all enemies so
that the LORD can rule freely! Yet there is only one Throne! So what conclusion do we have
on our hands here? Any way you turn, you will arrive at the conclusion that Jesus Christ is the
LORD GOD. In the light of this, does the argument that I Corinthians 15:28 prove that Jesus
Christ is less than God hold water? Doesn't this passage show a time when GOD will longer
need His physical being before relating with us? See, when all is set, GOD will no longer need
to cover Himself with His veil (Jesus' human form), because the status of perfection that we
would have acquired will grant us the right to see the hitherto invisible GOD as He truly is.
This is the mystery Paul was trying to teach the church at Corinth.
Are there three Thrones of Glory in Heaven?
If there are three persons acting as One God, where are the others when The Father sits upon
The Only Throne in Heaven? If the other persons have no throne, doesn't that negate the Bible?
If there are three thrones, doesn't that mean there is more than One God? In Matthew 26:64
Jesus said, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power" Similarly,
Mark 16:19 states, He was received up into Heaven and sat on the right hand of GOD". Other
such passages are: Mark 14:62, Acts 7:56 and Hebrews 10:12.Are these passages evidence that
there are two thrones in Heaven, one for the Father and one for the Son? What really does the
phrase ‘right hand of GOD' mean? Ezekiel 1:26-28, Revelation 11:16 and 19:4 confirms that
there is only one Throne and King in Heaven, and everybody, including the Four Creatures and
Twenty-four Elders must bow to the only GOD on the Throne. This therefore eliminates any
notion that there are two or three thrones in Heaven. This being so, what did Jesus mean when
He spoke about the right hand' vis-Ã -vis what He said in Revelation 3:21? We have already
shown that there is one Throne in Heaven and since the occupant is seen by all the inhabitants
of Heaven; it means Jesus is actually the person on that Throne.
From close scrutiny, it can be seen that the phrase ‘right hand' have different meanings, viz:
i. it refers to a person (Exodus 15:6; Psalms 45:4; 77:10; 78:54)
ii. it refers to an office (Psalms 48:10; 80:17)
iii. it means action (Psalms 110:5)
When GOD told His humanity to sit at His right hand until there is absolute subjugation of
His enemies (Psalms 110:1), He actually implied ‘wait' until all is ready for unquestionable
governance of all humanity a time when GOD will rule humanity through direct contact with
humanity through His own humanity. (Revelation 7:15-17). This task of annihilating the
opposition was to be done by the LORD but Psalms 110:5 shows that one who did the work is
the Lord (written this way to refer to the LORD covered with His flesh). Isaiah 51:22 shows
that the Lord is the LORD GOD as The Mediator for His people.
Moreover the Bible has consistently made it clear that Jesus has one body and one Spirit
(Ephesians 4:4-6) the Lord and the LORD. Hence we can rightly say that the person, office
and action of GOD as captured by the phrase ‘right hand of GOD' is housed in the one GOD
who is already seated on the Throne. (Revelation 7:15-17)
Since GOD has not and can not abdicate His Throne at any time, the phrase is another way of
declaring that Jesus Christ is the LORD GOD operating in His office as the LORD GOD; or
less technically, the humanity of GOD is the visible occupant of the Throne occupied by the
Invisible GOD.
CAVEAT EMPTOR
John 5:23, 26 (That all men should honour The Son, even as they honour The Father. He that
honoureth not The Son honoureth not The Father which hath sent Him. For as The Son hath
Life in Himself, so hath He given to The Son to have Life in Himself.)
John 8:19 (Then said they unto Him, where is thy Father? Jesus answered; Ye neither know
me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.)
John 12:44-45 (Jesus cried and said, he that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on Him
that sent me. And he that seeth me seeth Him that sent me)
1 John 5:1 (Whosoever believeth that Jesus is The Christ is born of God: and every one that
loveth Him that begat loveth Him also that is begotten of Him)
1 John 2:22-23 (Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is The Christ? He is antichrist,
that denieth The Father and The Son. Whosoever denieth The Son, the same hath not The
Father: but he that acknowledge The Son hath The Father also)
1 John 4:2-3 (Hereby know ye The Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ
is come in the flesh is of God. And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in
the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it
should come; and even now already is it in the world)
N/B: As we count down to the end of days; note and observe closely, any Emperor that
resurrects and promotes the interest of this religion that denies The Father and The Son, is The
Antichrist. The Man of Lawlessness; Satan Incarnate, Satan's son, Lord of the 8th Biblical
Empire. Get wisdom from 1 John 2:22-23; any religion or organization that openly opposes
what The Bible says concerning Jesus is antichristian. And any world leader in whose hands
the antichristian religion prospers is The Antichrist.
In conclusion, none of the arguments and evidence we have put forward can fully disclose
Jesus to you. Together these add up to just a whisper of knowledge of The Most Mighty King.
To know Jesus, you must believe in Him first, thereafter He will give you further light if you
truly want to know Him.
The greatest question that will herald the end of days is, "who do you say
Jesus is?" The Bible declares that He is The LORD GOD, YHWH. This is
The Key to Eternal Life. When people begin to tell you we are worshipping
the same God, tell them except that God is Jesus of Nazareth, there is no
truth in them.
Beloved; repent of your sins, accept Jesus as your Saviour, Lord, King and
God OR oppose Him at your peril. Choose Jesus, choose life and receive
the eternal blessings that come with Jesus.

The hard truth about jesus christ

  • 1. JESUS IS THE FATHER, THE SON AND THE HOLY SPIRIT For Many Centuries, Jesus was hidden away in The Trinity. But in His season, in these last days, the time is fully come for The Trinity to be untied so that no man may have excuse to doubt or disbelieve. Though we may never fully comprehend the awesomeness and unfathomable might of God till after the rapture, but He has not left us in doubt as to His Person: The Bible is very clear on whom God is - Jesus of Nazareth. In the search for God, if one stands on any pedestal or arm of The Trinity, he/she will arrive at Jesus of Nazareth as The LORD GOD of the universe. Though this might appear far fetched and largely different from traditional theology, but under the guidance of The Holy Spirit our job will be to show; using the Holy Scriptures that Jesus is the only wise GOD as He taught the patriarchs of the Hebrews. We propose our search by asking ourselves a few evidence-identifying questions, and then turn to The Bible for answers because as Matthew Henry would say, "high thoughts of Christ will be best expressed in scripture words". The sum total of answers should help us to confirm or refute the above assertion: The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit: Are they three Gods acting as one or One God in Heaven acting in Three Capacities on Earth? When The Bible speaks about father, does it necessarily mean biological fatherhood? The term is first used in Genesis 4:20-21, where it is used to show the first person to do a thing or the originator of a thing or idea. So what better Name to use in denoting the first Being to bring life into existence â€" the first to create others! Since we have only one material universe; is there room for more than one Father for it? In this way, Genesis, the Book of beginnings proves that God The Father means The Grand Originator, The Source of all life; The Creator. Consequently, whoever is the Creator of the universe is its Father or God The Father! This is confirmed in Deuteronomy 6:4 as referenced with Ephesians 4:6. In other words if Jesus is God, then He is also The Father (Isaiah 9:6-7). The Wisdom of God or The Logos, another term for God The Son in Proverbs 8:22 says that The LORD (YHWH) possessed Him right from the beginning of His endless existence. Since YHWH has no beginning, it therefore means The Logos has no beginning since they have simultaneous existence. This further shows that The Son would not have been subservient or inferior to God The Father, had it been they were different persons. But most importantly, this verse shows that The Father and The Son refer to one God (John 10:30). It is the foregoing truth that Apostle John in John 1:1-4 re-echoed brilliantly.
  • 2. Understanding The Holy Spirit will help us to know the nature of The Father, and put to rest the thorny issue of The Trinity. We look no further than John 4:24 which settle this by declaring that God is a Spirit, not just any spirit but The Holy Spirit because of His unmatchable holiness. In other words that which possessed The Word or which made The Word His body or Temple from eternity is a spirit, The Father of spirits - the unseen, formless, omnipotent and omnipresent Being. It means YHWH is The Holy Spirit, and that Jesus of Nazareth, appeared as His Material Essence or Presence. This was what Apostle Paul captured so well in 1 Timothy 3:16. Therefore The Father or Creator exists in two intelligible dimensions - the spiritual and the material. It is in this inextricable union that He exists and operates: what The Spirit purposes, The Material Being executes (John 5:17); little wonder The Material Presence is called The Zeal of The LORD. The Jews understood clearly that whoever called Himself The Son of God was God indeed. (John 5:17, John 19:7). They knew clearly that though The Messiah is The Offspring of David, He is also The Root of David (Rev. 22:16). This passage alone is an eye opener into The Mystery of The Trinity. By appearing or by His Incarnation, The Material Presence of God declares the true attributes, abilities, character, purpose, and Essence of The Holy Spirit (John 1:18). This is the reason The Son is called The Image of The Invisible God (Gen. 1:26, 5:1, 9:6 and Col. 1:15-17). 1 Timothy 3:16 accurately defines the title "Son of God" as "God manifested as human". Micah 5:2 declares that "God in human form" has always existed from eternity before the incarnation, yet He came out from The Father! Here is food for thought. While Proverbs 8:22 sets it forth that God in human form has always been The Temple of The Divine Holy Spirit in an inextricable and reciprocal union (John 17:21, 14:11); so much so that The Son declares that He is one and the same with The Father (John 10:30). And indeed He is, for it The Father who has been manifesting in the different Dispensation of Grace and Mercy, working out humanity's salvation. The term Son of God is therefore used to denote God coming out from God, i.e. the Material God (Visible God) coming out from The Immaterial God. Since The Material had always existed in The Spiritual Plane, the term also means the separation of the Essences. This was necessary to enable Him assume the humanity with which He used to pay the price for reconciling humans to The Most Dread Holy Spirit. This has been achieved, so? Look closely here: Philippians 2:5-11 (Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus; who being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, He made humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name: That at The Name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth. And that every tongue should confess
  • 3. that Jesus Christ is Lord, to The Glory of God The Father.) Isaiah 45:21-23 (Tell ye, and bring them near, yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declare this from ancient time? Who hath told it from that time? Have not I The Lord? And there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me. Look unto me, and be saved, all the ends of the earth: For I am God, and there is none else. I have sworn by myself, the Word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return. That unto me every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall swear.) Romans 9:5 (Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen) A Commentary: Matthew Henry opines, and I strongly agree that, the greatest honour of all was that of them (Israel) as concerning the flesh (that is, as to His Human Nature) Christ came; for He took on Him the seed of Abraham (Hebrew 2:16). As to His Divine Nature, He is The Lord from Heaven; but as to His Human Nature, He is of The Seed of Abraham. This was the privilege of the Jews that Christ was kin of them. Mentioning Christ, he (Paul) interposes a very great word concerning Him (Jesus), that He is over all, God blessed for ever. Lest the Jews should think meanly of Him, because He was of their alliance, He here speaks thus honourably concerning Him: and it is a very full proof of The Godhead of Christ; He is not only over all, as Mediator; but He is God blessed for ever. Therefore, how much sorer punishment were they worthy of that rejected Him! It was like-wise the honour of the Jews, and one reason why Paul had a kindness for them, that, seeing God blessed for ever would be a man, He would be a Jew; and considering the posture and character of that people at that time, it may well be looked upon as a part of His humiliation". Since just before the rapture, all creatures will be transformed to their true natures- we will all know as we are known in the Heavenlies; all eyes will be opened to see God as He truly is. Consequently, every man should prepare to see The Consuming Fire and Most Dread YHWH as He was when He created the universe and will ever remain (Matt.24:30, Jude 14-15), the work of salvation having been completed (1 Corinthians 15:24-28) Did Jesus pray to Himself? God can not and does not need to pray! But Jesus has two natures: Son of God and God. As a Man, He is The Son of God. As God, He is The Father (John 10:30, 12:45, and 13:31-32). This was what made Matthew Henry (1712) to observe in Isaiah 9:6-7: that "…the same that is the Mighty God is a Child born; the Ancient of Days becomes an infant of a span long; The Everlasting Father is a Son given. Such was His condescension in taking our nature upon Him. Thus did He humble and empty Himself, to exalt and fill us. Matthew Henry's Commentary of The Bible. Do the prayers of Christ indicate a distinction between Jesus and The Father? No. On the
  • 4. contrary, His praying indicates a distinction between The Son of God and God. Jesus Himself hinted on His Duality when He said "…The Father is me and I in The Father" (John 17:21). This in essence signified the completeness of His Person whether as Manifested God or Transcendent God. Jesus prayed in His humanity, not in His capacity as The Deity. Any other interpretation will denote inferiority in one or more persons of The Trinity and a complete negation of its precepts. How can God pray to another and still be God? By definition, God in His omniscience and omnipotence has no need to pray. The fact that there is only one God means there is no other to whom He can pray to. If Jesus prayed in His capacity as God, then one of the persons in the Godhead is subordinate to the other and therefore not fully or truly God. This position however, will be anti-Bible. What then, is the explanation of the prayers of Jesus Christ? It can only be that the human nature of Jesus prayed to The Eternal Spirit of God. His Divine Nature did not need help; only The Human Nature did â€" and He came to suffer for us in His Humanity. In Zechariah 12:10 as confirmed in Revelation 1:7-8, Jesus spoke in His Dual Nature - as the one who was to be pierced and as The One giving the prophecy. As Jesus said at the Garden of Gethsemane, "The Spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak" (Matt. 26:41). Hebrews 5:7 makes it clear that Jesus needed to pray only during "the days of His Flesh". During the prayer at Gethsemane, the human will submitted itself to the Divine Will. Through prayer His human Nature learned to submit and be obedient to The Spirit of God (Philippians 2:8; Hebrews 5:7-8). This was not a struggle between two divine wills, but a struggle between the Human and Divine Wills in Jesus. As a man Jesus submitted Himself to and received strength from The Spirit of God or more precisely, from God (God being The Holy Spirit). Now consider this statement closely: "No one has ascended and descended from Heaven, except The Son of Man who is in Heaven". (John 3:16). When Jesus uttered those indelible words, He was right here on earth but yet in Heaven at the same time. God The Son does not correspond with our biological concept of son- ship: it means God Manifested as Human. Ask the Jews why they always wanted to stone Him, each time He referred to Himself as The Son of God. In fact on one occasion they told Him plainly that they want to stone Him for making Himself God (John 10:33-36; 5:18). And Jesus did not correct them on the proper interpretation of The Son of God, because they were right! The Son of God is the carrier of The Godhead! (Zechariah 5:12-13, Colossian 1:19; 2:9-10). As He was on earth as Man-God, He was yet in Heaven as God Almighty. Philippians 2:8 helps to explain that being found as Man, the Man aspect in Him humbled itself before The God aspect of Him. This was the sense of Jesus praying to God: The Man in Him prayed to The God He is. Some may object to this explanation, contending that it means Jesus prayed to Himself. However, we must realize that, unlike any other human being, Jesus had two perfect and complete Natures - humanity and divinity. What would be absurd or impossible for an
  • 5. ordinary man is not so strange with Jesus. We do not say Jesus prayed to Himself, for that incorrectly implies Jesus had only one nature like ordinary men. Rather, we say The Human Nature of Jesus prayed to The Divine Spirit of Jesus that dwelt in The Man as well as ruling from Heaven. And so Jesus by His prayers, taught every man to pray to God as our Father or Origin of our being. Following from this, we can safely say that what Jesus meant when He cried, "My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me?" was that He had taken the place of sinful man on the cross and was suffering the full punishment for sin. There was no abatement of suffering because of His proximity to The Deity. Since all have sinned (Romans 3:23) and the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23), all mankind (except the sinless Christ) deserved to die. Christ took our place and suffered the death that we deserved (Romans 5:6-9). Jesus was more than a courageous martyr like Stephen and more than an Old Testament sacrifice, because He died in our place and experience for a time the death we deserved. On The Cross, He tasted death for every man (Hebrews 2:9). This was more than physical death; it also involved spiritual death, which is separation from God (II Thessalonians 1:9; Revelation 20:14). The significance of the Cry on The Cross is that The Divine Nature of Jesus completely separated from His Human Nature. God as God and His Material Presence or Image had never separated, but the Humanity of God being laden with universal sin caused The Holy God to separate from the imputed unrighteousness of The Son of Man. But it was predicted that The Humanity of God will not and can not see corruption in hell because He is The Holy One of Israel. It was The Man in God that died and was quicken by The Divine in God after 3 days (1 Peter 3:18) How do these help our understanding of John 16:7, 16, 25, 27-30? Throughout His stay on earth, Jesus constantly reminded us that He proceeded from or came out from The Father. Similarly, The Holy Spirit also came out from The Father. But He (Holy Spirit) would not come to us until The Son returned to The Father. I do not know how many people have cared to ask why. The Bible does not give any light in this respect, and we will not speculate. But one thing is evident; it is further evidence that The Father has two Natures â€" The Human and The Divine Spirit. It is because The Father has two natures that Matthew Henry opined as regards Titus 2:13: that "The Great God and Saviour both refer to Jesus Christ; for they are not two subjects but one only, as shown by the single article ˜THE' Christ then is the Great God, not figuratively, as magistrates and others are sometimes called gods, or as appearing and acting in the name of God, but properly and absolutely, The True God (1 John 5:20), The Mighty God (Isaiah (9:6)" Matthew Henry's Commentary of The Bible. The Human Nature could relate with sinful men, but The Divine can not. The Divine Holy Spirit is The Consuming Fire that kills everything unclean (this was how He related with Israel prior to The Incarnation). But The Human Nature paid The Price for the debt of humanity's uncleanness before God. Those who believe in the atoning death of God's
  • 6. Humanity are cleansed and sanctified to welcome The Presence of The Divine Life to comfort, teach, guide, empower and embolden them. This is why sinners and unbelievers can not have The Presence of The Holy Spirit in them. The Human and Divine Natures are in The Everlasting Father who sits upon the Only Throne of Power (The Right Hand of Power) in Heaven (Ezekiel 1: 26-28, 2: 1-4). What is the implication of 1 Corinthians 15:24-28? On the 4th August 2009 I was meditating on I Corinthians 15:24-28. Within two minutes, I was made to understand that it was meant to explain the different phases of the Rule of our Saviour Jesus: when Jesus the Messiah (The Son of God) will hand over the church to Jesus the LORD GOD (The Father of Life and Spirit). He is ruling in our hearts now as the Saviour but will rule as God when He will appear at the second coming. Frankly I still had reservation deep down in me but then I remembered Psalm 110:1-7 and I believed the Holy Spirit that has been teaching me since 2007. Then on the 7th August 2009 I had a confirmation to this light from the Matthew Henry Commentary (a book that was completed in 1721) It happened that I was studying his commentary of Titus 2:11-14 and the following were unveiled from it: "…the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ. This denotes both the time of the accomplishment and the sureness of it: it will be at the second appearing of Christ when He shall come in His own glory and in His Father's the Divinity, which on Earth was much veiled will shine out then as the sun in its strength the comfort and joy of Christians are that their Saviour is The Great God and will gloriously manifest Himself at His second coming Jesus Christ, that Great God and our Saviour, who saves not simply as God, much less as Man alone; but as God-Man. Two natures in one person: Man, that He might obey, and suffer and die for man, and be meet to deal with him and for him; and God that He might support the manhood, give worth and efficacy to his undertakings, and have due regard to the rights and honour of the deity the human nature was offering, and the Divine the altar, sanctifying the gift and the whole act of the person through the infinite dignity of His Person, He who was God suffered though not as God. (He suffered in His Humanity). The acts and properties of either nature are attributed to the person. God purchased His Church with His own blood (Acts 20:28)" Who lives in unapproachable eternal light? Exodus 3:3-7, 14; 20:18-19; 33: 11, 20-23; and Isaiah 57:15 makes it clear that His name is YHWH - the I Am and Father, however I Timothy 1:17; 6:14-16, Romans 11:36; John 1:18; 6:46; 7:28-29; Daniel 3:25, Isaiah 6:1-5; 43:10, 13 and Genesis 32:30 identifies Him as the Son of GOD; who of course has been seen
  • 7. by men of the Old and New Testaments. This is not a contradiction; apply your hearts to wisdom: our GOD does not lie. It simply means that in all His dealing s with us, starting from Adam to Abraham and others, He has been appearing in His Pre-Incarnate Material Essence” the same form He was when He created the material universe. Inside that body or Material Presence and also enveloping the body" in an inextricable reciprocity (John10:30, 38), is the unapproachable Light of Godness" the Eternal Holy Spirit whom no man has seen. Paul in Hebrews 10:20 calls Jesus the Veil through which GOD approached us! In other words, without God's humanity, nay, without Jesus' humanity we wouldn't have had the opportunity of approaching the Eternal Majesty. In Psalms 104:1-2 He says that He covers Himself with dazzling light and that was why He, YHWH told Moses, "no man sees my face and lives", but Jesus has seen Him because He is no Man. Moreover, He is Him; and so YHWH, who lives in unapproachable light of Divine Existence is the same Man called Jesus of Nazareth who manifested into our plane and form, for our peace and salvation! Who Is Pre-eminent In All Things? Job 18:13 (It shall devour the strength of his skin. Even The First-born of death shall devour his strength) Job 15:7-8 (Art thou The First-man that was born? Or wast thou made before the hills? Hast thou heard the secret of God? And dost thou restrain wisdom to thyself?) Colossians 1:15-18 (Who is The Image of The Invisible God, The First born of every creature: For by Him were all things created, that are in Heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him : And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist. And He is the Head of the body, the church: who is the Beginning, The First-born from dead. That in all things He might have the pre-eminence.) A Commentary: Matthew Henry under guide of The Holy Spirit once again sets forth that, concerning the person of The Redeemer. Glorious things are here said of Him; for blessed Paul was full of Christ, and took all occasions to speak honourably of him. He speaks of Him distinctly as God, and as Mediator. As God, he speaks of Him: (1) He is The Image of The Invisible God. Not as man was made in the Image of God (Gen.1:27), in his natural facilities and dominion over the creatures: no, He is The Express Image of His Person (Heb.1:3). (2) He is The First-born of every creature. Not that he is Himself a creature; for it is (i.e. original phrase in Latin) Prototokos pases ktiseos - born or begotten before all the creation, or (i.e.) before any creature was made, which is the scripture-way of representing eternity, and by which the eternity of God is represented to us: I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was; when there was no depth, before the mountains were settled, while as yet He had not made the earth (Prov.8:23-26). It signifies His dominion over all things, as The First-born in a family is heir and lord of all, so
  • 8. He is The Heir of all things (Heb. 1:2). The word, Prototokos, with only the change of accent, signifies actively the first begetter or producer of all things, and so it well agrees (3) He is so far from being Himself a creature that He is The Creator: for by Him were all things created, which are in heaven and earth, visible and invisible. He made all things out of nothing, the highest angel in Heaven, as well as men upon earth. He made the world, the upper and lower world, with all the inhabitants of both. All things were made by Him, and without Him was not anything made which was made (Jn. 1:3). Christ is The Eternal Wisdom of The Father, and the world was made in wisdom. He is The Eternal Word, and the world was made by The Word of God. He is The Arm of The Lord, and the world was made by that Arm. All things were created by Him and for Him. Being created by Him, they were created for Him; being made by His Power, they were made according to His pleasure and for His praise. He is The End, as well as The Cause of all things. To Him are all things (Rom. 11:36). (4) He was before all things. He had a being before the world was made, before the beginning of time, and therefore from all eternity. Wisdom was with The Father, and possessed by Him in the beginning of His Ways, before His works of old (Prov.8:22). And in the beginning The Word was with God and was God (Jn.1:1). He not only had a being before He was born of the virgin but he had a being before all time. (5) By Him all things consist. They not only subsist in their beings, but consist in their order and dependences. He not only created them all at first, but it is by The Word of His Power that they are still upheld (Heb.1:3). The whole creation is kept together by the power of The Son of God, and made to consist in its proper frame. It is preserved from disbanding and running into confusion. He is the beginning, the First-born from the dead, arche, prototokos “the principle, the First-born from the dead; principle of our resurrection, as well as the First-born Himself. All our hopes and joys take their rise from Him who is the Author of our salvation. Not that He was the first who ever rose from the dead, but the first and only who rose by His own power, and was declared to be the Son of God, and Lord of all things. And He is the Head of the resurrection, and has given us an example and evidence of our resurrection from the dead. He rose as the First-fruits (1 Cor. 15:20). He hath in all things the pre-eminence. The Meaning of The Truth? John 18:33-34 (Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto Him, Art thou The King of The Jews? And Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself or did others tell it thee of me? John 18:37 (Pilate therefore said unto Him, Art thou a King then? Jesus answered; Thou sayest that I am a King. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto The Truth. Every one that is of The Truth heareth my voice.) John 14:6 (Jesus saith unto him, I am The Way, The Truth and The Life, no man cometh unto The Father but by me.) 1 John 5:20 (And we know that The Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding,
  • 9. that we may know Him that is True, and we are in Him that is True, even in His Son Jesus Christ. This is The True God and Eternal Life.) Has The Arm of The LORD been revealed to you? Isaiah 63:2-6 (Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in winefat? I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment. For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come. And I looked, and there was none to uphold: therefore Mine Own Arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me. And I will tread down the people in mine anger, and make them drunk in my fury, and I will bring down their strength to the earth.) Isaiah 51:9-10, 15 (Awake, awake, put on strength, O Arm of The LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old, Art thou not it that hath cut Rahab, and wounded the dragon? Art thou not it which hath dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that hath made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over. But I am The LORD thy God, that divided the sea, whose waves roared: The LORD of hosts is His Name.) Isaiah 53:1-2 (Who hath believed our report? And to whom is The Arm of The LORD revealed? For He shall grow up before Him as a Root out of a dry ground: He hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him.) Who Is This Cloud Rider? Exodus 23:20-23 (Behold I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. Beware of Him, and provoke Him not: for He will not He will not pardon your transgressions: for my Name is in Him. But if thou shalt indeed obey His voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries. For mine Angel shall go before and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizites, and the Canaanites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.) Psalm 78:14, 17, 40-41 (In the daytime also He led them with a cloud and all the night with a light of fire; And they sinned yet more against Him by provoking The Most High in the wilderness. How oft did they provoke Him in wilderness, and grieve Him in the desert! Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited The Holy One of Israel.) Ref: Hebrew 3:6-15; Psalm 95:6-7) Exodus 14:19 (And the Angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them.) Exodus 13:21 (And The LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them in the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night.)
  • 10. Exodus 16:10 (And it came to pass, as Aaron spake unto the whole congregation of the children of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and, behold, The Glory of The LORD appeared in the cloud.) Exodus 19:16-17 (And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the Mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceedingly loud so that all people that was in the camp trembled. And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God: and they stood at the nether part of the Mount.) Exodus 34:5-6 (And The LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him (Moses) there, and proclaimed the Name of The LORD. And The LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful, and gracious, long-suffering and abundant in goodness and truth.) 1 Kings 8:10-11 (And it came to pass when the priest were come out of The Holy Place, that the cloud filled the House of The LORD: so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the Glory of The LORD had filled the House of The LORD.) Ref: 2 Chronicles 5:13-14 Revelation 1:7 (Behold, He cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen.) Luke 21:27 (And they shall see The Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory) Matthew 24:30 (And then shall appear the sign of The Son of Man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see The Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory) Psalm 18:10-12 (And He rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, He did fly upon the wings of the wind. He made darkness His secret place; His pavilion round about Him was dark waters and thick clouds of the skies. At the brightness that was before Him His thick clouds passed, hail stones and coals of fire) Psalm 104:2 (Who layeth the beams of His Chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds His chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind.) Mark 14:61-62 (But He held His peace, and answered nothing. Again the High Priest asked Him, and said unto Him, art thou the Christ, The Son of The Blessed? And Jesus said, "I am: and ye shall see The Son of Man sitting on the Right Hand of Power and coming in the clouds of heaven) Who is the Eternal Light? Light, as a spiritual and physical phenomenon, is of inexhaustible importance to living things. Because of its importance, some people have even gone ahead to worship the source of physical light, which we all know, will eventually die out with this present system. But the LORD
  • 11. GOD of Israel proclaimed in Isaiah 60:19-20 that He is the Eternal Light. When Jesus, in the Gospels, declared that He is the Light of the world, most people thought that He was merely referring only to a philosophical light. Obviously that claim went deeper than that, because in Revelation 21:23, it is stated categorically that Jesus Christ is the Light that will illuminate the coming eternal universe! Moreover, this passage also adds that, it is the glory radiating from GOD that will be the illuminant! Again Jesus, The Shepherd and The Lamb, is The Light! By now, every sincere and rational being would have come to the obvious conclusion here. But if a man will not accept this truth, let him break his neck in protest. Who has ascended and descended from Heaven? Proverbs 30:4; Psalms 33:6-9; and 68:18 says it is the LORD GOD our Creator while Ephesians 4:8-10; Luke 24:51; John 2:13; 3:13; 6:51,62; Acts 1:9-11; Romans 10:6-7; I Thessalonians 4:16, and I Peter 3:18-19 affirms that, that LORD GOD is Jesus Christ. Again this is not a contradiction but a confirmation of the revelations of old. In fact Proverbs 30:4 helps to show that the LORD GOD is the one also called the Son of GOD; thus helping us to understand that the term ‘Son of GOD' means the humanity of GOD or GOD covered with His humanity (John 6:62, Luke 24:39). Who alone swears by Heaven? While Jesus was here, He restricted men from swearing because they use it cover up their lies. Moreover, swearing is an invocation of infallibility and extreme might, matters which no man can lay claim to. Swearing by the Capital of a Kingdom is the same as invoking the character, power and capabilities of the King. Jesus Christ said that Heaven is the seat of government of GOD; hence anyone who swears by Heaven invokes GOD's greatness, absolute reliability and infallibility. Deuteronomy 32:40 declares that the only One who has the right to swear by Heaven is the invisible LORD GOD of Israel. . This is can be paralleled by the statement GOD made to Abraham, "because I could not find any other greater than me, therefore I swore by myself" But in Revelation 10:1-6, the description of the Majesty of the Angel of the LORD show that Jesus Christ is the LORD GOD who has the exclusive right to swear by Himself. Recall that the phrase, "The Angel of the LORD" refers to "The Material Presence of GOD while on earth" (Genesis 22:11-12, 21:17-18). Who is the Creator; how many are they? Upon this question lie the very symbol of the divine and, an understanding of the Trinity. As recorded in Isaiah 40:12-14, 18, 21-22; the Creator is the Eternal Holy Spirit. Isaiah 40:28; 42:5; 44:24; 45:11-12, 18, 21; 48:12-13;51:13; 54:5; and Genesis 1:1, 26-27 speaks of the
  • 12. Creator as the LORD GOD while the John 1:3, 10; Colossians 1:16-17 and Hebrews 1:10 confirms that the Holy Spirit and LORD GOD spoken about is no other but Jesus Christ. And to the number of the creator(s), Isaiah 44:24 answers once and for all that the Creator was alone in His activities; meaning that those appellations above refer to one GOD in different dimensions of operations and not three Gods. Before we conclude on this point, we must say that before the universe came into being, it was designed and properly surveyed. Genesis 1:2 and Isaiah 40:12-14, 28 all agree that the designer of the universe is the Spirit of GOD, while Proverbs 30:4 and Job 38:4-6 say it was the LORD GOD. But we now know who all these appellations refer to. Does GOD share His Glory? Isaiah 42:8; 43:11; 44:6; 45:6; 48:11; Exodus 20:3-5; 34:14; Deuteronomy 6:13-15; 4:23:24, 35; 5:7-9 all confirm that GOD does not joke with nor share His Glory with any other entity whether in Heaven or in Earth. However Revelation 19:4 states that all glory and worship belongs to the one GOD who seats upon the only Throne of Majesty; who is this King? Psalms 45:1-11; John 9:38; 11:4; Revelation 4:11; 5:8-14; and 7:9-12 (compare with Revelation 4; 10-11 and 5:11-12) affirm that, that King and GOD is neither a substanceless figment of our imagination nor a philosophical concept but The Man, Jesus Christ. The Man whom the wisest of yesteryears traveled miles, just to be among the first to pay Him His due respects (Matthew 2:1-2, 11). In fact Zechariah in Zechariah 6:12-13 records that this Man is the bearer of the Glory itself! In other words He is the custodian of the Glory and if there was need for sharing He will be the one to give from His store of Glory to a deserving recipient! With a little bit of rational thinking we could ask ourselves, "why was the King of the Jews due for worship why did the best in Asia rejoice at the birth of this King" (Matthew 2:9-10). Israel was not a superpower" in fact she was under the Roman yoke, so the actions of these magi could not have been politically motivated. Common people, is it everyday that a continent's best scientists go to welcome the birth of an obscure infant with no visible trace of royal blood? It is so obvious that it was given these men to see the mystery that the King of the Jews was the Messiah of the whole world and therefore the LORD GOD" the recipient of all true worship. The Bible is so well encoded that you just need to open a page to uncover and encounter the life giving and illuminating Truth called Jesus Christ! Whose word stands for ever? Only men who are infallible, all knowing and almighty can speak words which can never be overturned. A lesser power can always expect his deeds to be countered if it does not agree with that of the higher authority. In Isaiah 40:8 the LORD GOD said only His words are incontrovertible and everlasting. In the Gospels, Jesus Christ said that Heaven and Earth may pass away but not even a jot of His words will remain unfulfilled, or put in another way, His
  • 13. words are eternal! Let Israel bow before his King. Selah. Whose Throne last for ever? Psalms 10:16; 93:1-2; Daniel 7:9-10; I Thessalonians 2:12; Isaiah 6:1-5; Ezekiel 1:26-28; 8:2; 10:1 and Revelation 4:2-11 all reveal that the one who owns the splendour and the throne is none other but GOD, the LORD of Heaven and Earth. To quickly cast in our minds the true identity of the LORD GOD referred to above and to dispel any doubt about His personality, Psalms 45:3-6; 72:1-17; Daniel 11:27; Zechariah 6:12-13; Luke 1:31-33; II Timothy 4:1, 18; Colossians 1:13; Hebrews 1:8 and Revelation 7:15-17 all rush to our rescue by making it abundantly clear the LORD GOD is the same one who took a human body in order to dwell among men. Moreover the scriptures above further aver that the throne that we are talking about belongs to Him and He carries the glory of the throne and the Kingdom with Him! This means the Throne and the Kingdom are part and parcel of Him â€" He doesn't drop them in any one place because He is everywhere and because they are so exclusively His own anywhere He is, there they are. Please tell me, for I am a simple mind, who then is GOD if the one who carries the Glory is not the LORD GOD. Please counter my folly well because I have never seen where the man who has the exclusive prestige of wielding the powers of the Head of State is not the Head of State, or accept with me that the same LORD is He who is called Jesus, the Son of Man. Who is the Alpha and Omega? This is one great attribute of GOD that set Him apart from other pretenders. He is the only One who can go back into the past while still remaining in the present. He is also the beginning and end of all matters. He is The One who started the universe and The One who end everything. In Isaiah 41:4, 44:6 and 48:12-13 the LORD GOD proclaims Himself by this exclusive title. We find however, that in Revelation 21:5-6, 22:13 and Colossians 1:17, Jesus Christ is addressed by this title. In fact, in Revelation 22:16 He calls Himself the Root and Offspring; which means He is the One who started it all, the support, the source and at the same time the One who uses the fruit of His body to accomplish His will! Men will cease to be men if they feign ignorance of the truth laid before us here. Who Owns the Holy Spirit anyway? A major transformation in the life of a regenerated soul is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, the promise of the Father as recorded in Joel 2:28-29. As stated in Joel, the one who promised the gift is also the owner of the gift as confirmed in Romans 8:9; I Corinthians 6:11; II Corinthians 3:3; Luke 11:13 and I John 4:2. But in Matthew 3:11, John the Baptist reveals that the one who said He will ‘pour His Spirit' in Joel 2:28 is the same one who will ‘baptise with the Holy Spirit'; specifically he identified this Giver and Owner as the LORD
  • 14. Jesus Christ. A few scriptural evidences will suffice in this regard: Romans 8:9-10; II Corinthians 3:17-18 and I Peter 1:11-12. And having known that GOD does not toy with what is exclusively His; we are left with the conclusion that GOD the Father is the same GOD in flesh â€" Jesus Christ. Who is the Holy Spirit? If the revelation contained in our discourse on the owner of the Holy Spirit is not enough to provoke believe in the tri-personality of Jesus, perhaps examining the person called the Holy Spirit will suffice: I John 4:15 says that GOD dwells in whoever confesses Jesus as the Son of GOD; the only means this can take place in a human is through the Holy Spirit, hence this verse is actually stating the obvious â€" the Holy Spirit is the GOD of Heaven and Earth, the same one that dwells in Christian believers! Jesus Himself in Mark 13:11 said that the one to inspire and guide our witnessing is the Holy Spirit. Apostle Paul expatiated on this in Ephesians 3:17 when he said that the one to inspire us to understand the breadth, length, height and depth of what we profess as Christianity is the LORD Jesus Christ Himself dwelling in our hearts, comparing these two positions we quickly get understanding on what Christ was teaching us â€" that He is that Holy Spirit. Some of the workings of the Holy Spirit are to comfort and strengthen us in our ministry but in II Timothy 4:17-18 and Philippians 4:13, Paul once again identifies the one who did these for him as Jesus Christ. Coming from another perspective, Romans 8:11says that the quickening spirit is the Holy Spirit of GOD, the same power that raised Jesus from the dead - here is an unveiling,; at the resurrection, the Holy Spirit came back into His mortal body and it was transformed into an incorruptible and transcendental living human body (compare with I Peter 3:18). However in I Corinthians 15:45 and 47, this quickening spirit is called the LORD from Heaven and in II Corinthians 3:3 and 17, Apostle Paul without mincing words, affirms that the Holy Spirit is the LORD Jesus Christ. As the one speaking to the churches, Jesus proclaims seven times that He is the Holy Spirit (Revelation 2:7, 11, 17, 29; 3:6, 13 and 22). By that number of times, He was sounding it very clearly that He is the LORD GOD. Call Him Father, Son or Holy Spirit; He remains the same as He was yesterday, today and forever" the true GOD and eternal life (I John 5:20, Jude 4); the same one who put His flesh on the alter of the cross (I John 3:16, Titus 2:13-14) that you and I may be free from the coming condemnation; He is the same GOD that desires that all come into full understanding of His true being (Jeremiah 9:24; Ephesians 4:13). Who gives Spiritual gifts? Another transformation in the life of a believer is that He has one or more spiritual gifts which are given to aid the growth of the church. Just as we have argued elsewhere in this essay, one
  • 15. can only give from a store he has absolute control over because giving from where one has limited power has unpleasant consequence; one of which is that the real owner can revoke the gift at anytime without recourse to any discussion with the secondary giver. James 1:17; Hebrews 2:4 and Romans 12:3-8 are just few scriptural evidence that declare that the giver of spiritual gifts is the LORD GOD, however Ephesians 4:7-12 states that the giver is the LORD Jesus Christ while I Corinthians 12:4-11 declares that the giver of the gifts listed in I Corinthians 12:4-10 (compare with Ephesians 4:11-12), is the Holy Spirit. Again this is a clear indication that these natures belong to one and the same GOD. For who was the gate of hell opened? The Bible is categorical on the status of the one who has the ability to sit in Heaven and yet can descend into the lower parts of the Earth were Death and Hades have the authority to detain in perpetuity, even spirits; in fact all who go near their gates are held captive irrespective of class and rank. Job 38:17 and Psalms 24:7-10 describe the only one to have ever made this journey and came back without restrain as the King of Glory; the LORD GOD of Heaven and Earth. While we were not there to see when He made the first of such spiritual journey, our opportunity came when He descended into the depths of the Earth at His burial to set the captives free (Matthew 27:52), and came out at His resurrection. And so it was confirmed before all humanity, that the King of Glory is the LORD Jesus Christ (Ephesians 4:9 and I Peter 3:19-20). In fact Jesus speaks of His Death and Resurrection thus, "…I was dead and behold I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of Death and Hades…by my death I went to the ends of the universe to reverse the Statute of Death placed on all the children of Adam…when I got there, Death and Hades recognised me as their LORD and King, bowed before me and handed over the delegated authority I had given them; and so they could not detain me as their general order was. I left when I wanted to; and so will all who believe that I am He" (Revelation 1:18 paraphrased). Without controversy, the one who has the exclusive right to tread where men and spirits dread; the same one who was so relaxed in jail so much so that He had the luxury of preaching to spirits even in captivity, and had enough power to set free repentant spirits; the same one is the LORD GOD, the man Jesus Christ! Who was tempted in the wilderness by Israel? Psalms 78:18, 41, 56; 95:7-11 records that it was the LORD GOD, I Corinthians 10:9 points to Christ while Hebrews 3:7-11 says it was the Holy Spirit. Now since it is not possible that tempting one person is equal to tempting three, it means that GOD doesn't run a parallel government with any other divine being. It suffices then to conclude that the provocation to anger was experienced by only one GOD, the same GOD who had chosen our generation to make known His physical form, the man called Jesus of Nazareth.
  • 16. Who needed a forerunner? Malachi 3:1; 4:5 calls Him LORD GOD while Matthew 17:10-13 calls Him Jesus; and since it was only one Christ that appeared we know exactly who the LORD GOD is. Moreover, Jesus Christ, with His own mouth confirmed that John the Baptist was that forerunner (Matthew 11:10), which was another way of pointing out Himself to the people of Israel. Never mind Dad, you did enough; we know exactly who you are. Who intercedes for humanity? Humanity is what it is, sin prone and helplessly obstinate in its unholy desires, and GOD is who He is, inseparable from holiness. The two can not have any lasting or useful relationship except there is a worthy advocate who can successfully secure a stay-of-execution order for reprobate and apostate humanity, who by Divine and Irrevocable judgment ought to be destroyed the moment it tries to contaminate GOD's good creation'. Again, because humanity lacks the intellect to have intelligent communication with the Divine, there is a need for a divine translator. In the same vein; humanity has neither the capacity to set the priority of its needs right and in conformity with divine plan, nor the ability to engage the Divine in a logical debate, hence the need for it to have a worthy and loyal mediator. However I Samuel 2:25 and Isaiah 59:16 show that it takes GOD to beg GOD; yet humanity needs it kind to represent it, and it is an acceptable principle of conflict resolution that a mediator must be acceptable to all parties in a dispute. In the matter between GOD and man, the mediator must be both GOD and man in order to help us in our predicaments. That is, the ideal mediator must be GOD in order to represent GOD, and man in order to represent man. But Romans 8:26 declares that this job is the exclusive preserve of the Holy Spirit! On the surface it seems that man has been short-changed here. But Isaiah 53:12; I Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 2:17,18; 4:14-15; 7:25; 12:24 and I John 2:1 are all in agreement in declaring that Jesus Christ is our representative, advocate, ambassador and intercessor; effectively suggesting that the man called the Holy Spirit is also called the Son of Man, humanity's loyal mediator. In Luke 22:31-32 Jesus showed that He has the power to see and intercede against a problem before it arises - just imagine how He interceded for Peter's restoration even before frail Peter failed his Master. The stakes are however upped in Romans 8:27 and 34 where we are led to see that Jesus Christ searches the hearts, even of the Holy Spirit so He can intercede for us according to the will of GOD. If there was any doubt on the identity of the one who searches hearts and minds, Jesus dispels it by stating that He is the one (Revelation 2:23). The first lesson here is that the Holy Spirit is GOD Himself. Secondly whoever can search the mind of the Holy Spirit must be the Holy Spirit before He can accurately unlock every nuance of thought the Holy Spirit has and will have concerning a person's matter. There is something to be learnt here:
  • 17. Since the Holy Spirit is the Purposer or the Cause of causes, it means He can at will rearrange His thoughts. The implication is that any one less than Him can not know His thoughts because they are hidden in Him and subject to His will. The fact that Jesus knows the thoughts of the Holy Spirit is as true as the fact I know my thoughts and when I have changed them! We are left to exclaim like Apostle Paul that, the Lord Jesus is the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 10:4, 2 Corinthians 3:17). Who causes the resurrection? One of the motivations behind the way of life called Christianity is the hope of resurrection; without it, Paul calls them (Christians) the most miserable human specie. Men of old trusted in GOD no matter their privation and pains because they had hope in the resurrection. Job, a man personally drilled and persecuted by Satan, was convinced that on the day of resurrection all his pains and losses will go away (Job 19:25-27). Moses, a man raised in ungodly opulence, opted to suffer for Christ if only to win His favour on the day of resurrection (Hebrews 11:24-26). Thus, right from pre-historic times, men who trusted and walked with GOD did so because they had hope of a better life after the resurrection. It is therefore of prime importance to uncover the identity of the power behind the resurrection, the one whom men of old and present day believers trusted to grant them a better deal of existence. Psalms 49:15; 68:19-20; Acts 10:40; Romans 4:24-25; 10:9; I Thessalonians 1:10; I Corinthians 15:15 and II Corinthians 4:14 all chorus in unison that the man is called GOD; on whose table are placed all matters pertaining to the resurrection. I Peter 3:18 and Romans 8:9-11 take us deeper into the nature of this GOD by referring to Him as the Holy Spirit; and reasoning by substitution leads us to the conclusion that this Holy Spirit is Jesus Christ. In fact Jesus Himself adds credence to this assertion when He proclaimed in John 2:19 that He is the one who will cause His own resurrection. Then in John 11:25, He puts a seal on the claim by stating in the clearest term: "I Am The Resurrection". Believe on Him now so that He might raise you to everlasting blessing otherwise He will raise you to die a more painful death. Who draws men to salvation? Just like any other miracle, salvation is a divine intervention; and just like every other miracle, it is preceded by a desire or by acknowledging a state of lack and helplessness. Then the Divine steps in to perform the humanly impossible.
  • 18. The identity of the power behind this miracle called salvation is therefore important to those who have experienced it and for those who desire to have this priceless gift: Romans 4:17; 8:28-30; 9:11, 18; I Thessalonians 2:12; II Thessalonians 2:13-14 and I Peter 5:10 all point to GOD the Father as the one who makes the call to salvation; He is the one who calls every one to come. When those who realise they have a spiritual need respond, He then steps in to seal them for eternal glory. To ensure that we are not left to speculate on the identity of this GOD in question, a clarification is given in John 11:52; 12:32; II Peter 1:3; II Timothy 2:3-4; Acts 2:39; Matthew 20:16 and 25:12, to the intent that we might know that the Head of State and Commander- in-Chief of the redeemed hosts of Heaven and Earth; the owner of the Kingdom and the one who determines who to let in, is Jesus Christ, the GOD who was formerly far from us but has now come near, by appearing in a likeness like our own flesh. Up to this very day He is still knocking (Revelation 3:20) expecting that you will hear Him and respond for your own good. Who is the Fountain of Living Waters? Whereas Psalms 23:2 hinted at the desirability of still waters to the human soul, Revelation 7:17 discloses the LORD spoken about in Psalm, by putting a name on Him Jesus Christ. Jeremiah 2:12-13 declares that the only water to be desired is the one from the Living Fountain; the water that purifies, energises, refreshes and sustains the human spirit. In the passage quoted above, the LORD GOD of Israel is the Fountain of Living Waters while in John 4:10, 14, Jesus Christ confirms that He is the owner of that Fountain, and hence the LORD GOD. Again here it is confirmed that the LORD GOD is Jesus Christ; that is why He was bold enough to call all who are thirsty to come and drink from Him. As He called when He was physically here, today He is still calling out to every thirsty soul to come and have a drink on Him. I hope you will come and drink for your own good. Who purifies? A key factor in the success of the relationship between man and GOD is that man must assume his pre-fall pristine status. By all standards, man has consistently failed to take responsibility for assuming or living out this all important nature. Even when GOD gave the House of Israel the ordinances of purification, they could not consistently follow the rules. If man is incapable of purifying himself, who can help him? Psalms 51:1-2, 7, 9-10; 103:12; Isaiah 1:18, 24-26; 48:10; Zechariah 3:9 and 13:9 declare that the one who cleans, blots and purges men of impurity is still the one who refines, sanctifies and create a new heart for the penitent and contrite soul. The passages above are united in affirming that this person is called GOD. Isaiah 53:5-6, 10-11 teaches us the cost of the sanctification, and at whose expense He performs the purification. Then in Romans 15:16 we are reminded that this GOD in question is the Holy Spirit. To cap it all up, the identity of this LORD GOD is unveiled as Jesus Christ
  • 19. (Malachi 3:2-4, Matthew 3:12, Colossians 1:2, Titus 2:13-14, Hebrews 2:11). Interestingly, we are enlightened that He is the one who demands purity, The Purifier and The Cost of the purification! Little wonder then, that He was confident to say publicly, "Those who do not believe that I am He, will die with their impurity and risk all the consequences of such death" (John 8:24, paraphrased). I pray earnestly that all who read this book will believe with all their heart in the LORD Jesus Christ, the GOD who used His flesh to buy our pardon so He can present us blameless before Him, at His glorious appearing. Can you unlock the mystery of the love at work here? The Purifier, The Price of the purification, is still the ultimate Judge of the state of our purity! Yet He is alone as He performs all these actions, meaning that He is the only GOD. Who owns the Book of Life? Right from the time of pre-historic believers, it was common knowledge that records are kept for those who will be granted to have eternal life and those that will face eternal damnation. It is also commonsensical to expect that the person who commissioned and keeps such high profile documents must be the owner and the one with the ultimate power to decide who stays on which list, and who is taken off a particular list. Such a person must be the ultimate righteous Judge, because of the sensitivity of each case â€" any error of judgment has eternal consequences! Such a Judge must be GOD, and in deed He is, because Malachi 3:16-17 and Revelation 20:12 attest that books and the Book of Life are being written and that the commissioner is the LORD GOD. As is the fashion in this analysis, may I add that, that LORD GOD revealed to the ancient Hebrews as YHWH has now been revealed to us as Jesus Christ, the Lamb of Redemption; the same one that owns the Book of Life (Revelation 13:8, 21:27). Moses, while interceding for rebellious Israel put, his own destiny on the line by asking the one who writes and deletes names, to blot out his own if He sticks with His plans of erasing the House of Israel from His Book (Exodus 32:32); and just as He replied Moses (Exodus 32:33), He is telling us today (Revelation 3:5); only those who turn back from the Kingdom will He remove from His Book of Life. Hold us LORD, with your powerful right hand that our names may found in the Book of Life, Amen. Who is coming back to Earth? This is a central subject in Christianity â€" the expectation that the Messiah will one day come back to render judgments upon the Earth. The ancient members of the House of Israel call this expectation the day of the LORD GOD. Job, even in his pains was certain of seeing his redeemer, the LORD GOD in the flesh when He (Redeemer) shall stand upon the Earth (Job 19:25-27). This expectation is another key to
  • 20. use in discovering the identity of the true GOD because Zechariah 14:5, Deuteronomy 33:2-3; Joel 2:1,11; Isaiah 35:4 and 66:15 submit that He who is coming back is the LORD GOD. Yet we know for certain that the man who is coming back is our redeemer and LORD, Jesus Christ (Matthew 24:30; Mark 13:26; I Corinthians 16:22; I Corinthians 15:23; Revelation 3:11; 4:8; 22:20; Jude 14-15; I Thessalonians 3:13). Paul in Titus 2:13, puts the identity of the man coming back beyond doubt; He is the one who is both the LORD GOD and the Saviour. We are therefore left to conclude that the LORD GOD and Jesus Christ refer to one and the same, because it is. He is the GOD that was, is, and is to come; He was here before, is now in Heaven and a few days from now, He will come back again. Halleluyah! LORD, give us more oil in the lambs that we may not burn out our lights before you come. Who is both Shepherd and Head of humanity? Humanity can be likened to a perpetually truant-prone sheep raised on a free range, feeding and wandering away from the safety of their sheepfold. Left alone, every human sheep has the tendency to wander towards self-destruction oblivious of the many wolves and lions lined up on its paths, waiting to prey on its delicate flesh. It is on the basis of this that humanity required a brave and loving shepherd to groom, guide and guard it from its most powerful arch- enemy. The Bible in Psalm 23:1; 95:7 and Isaiah 40:9-11 are just few evidence that declare that the LORD GOD is the only worthy and capable shepherd of humanity, especially against the backdrop that a very powerful and ferocious lion is on the prowl looking for lost and vulnerable sheep to devour (I Peter 5:8). In Ezekiel 34:6-15 and 31, the LORD GOD declares that it is His duty to search and rescue His sheep (the very job the Messiah said brought Him to Earth). To prove to us our LORD GOD is not a shepherd that just sits in Heaven as an imaginary shepherd, He was revealed in the flesh as the man Jesus Christ, the good Shepherd of our souls; the one who unlike an hireling of a shepherd, put His own life in fatal danger so He can set free captured and mutilated humanity from the claws and teeth of its arch predator. I have no qualms then in submitting that the LORD GOD who has been shielding humanity from self destruction, is the same one who manifested as the LORD Jesus Christ (Zechariah 13:7; Matthew 26:31; John 10:11; I Peter 2:25; I Peter 5:4); the Chief Shepherd and Guardian of our souls. What He has been doing in the spiritual plane, He manifested in the physical at the appointed time. Whose Name is preached and revered among the Gentiles? Before Jesus Christ came, the name YHWH did not have much currency outside Israel. But with Jesus' coming, it has been preached, believed and revered among Gentiles continuously in the last 2000 years. And so without further ado, I conclude that the LORD GOD's name, which YHWH said will be revered among the Gentiles (Malachi 1:11, Psalms 45:17) is the same that is being praised today as Jesus Christ (Romans 15:9-12). As can be observed in psalms 45 above; the very chapter where YHWH the Father
  • 21. acknowledges His humanity as the LORD GOD, He further proclaims that the Son's name is to be worshipped forever. Elsewhere, He hinted that the one to cause YHWH's name to be known is the LORD GOD! Of course we now know the identity of this LORD GOD! Psalms 9:10; Isaiah 60:3 and 55:5, state that YHWH's Name will be published and made known to all the Gentiles; Zechariah 13:9; Colossians 1:27-28 and Philippians 2:9 reveal that The Name being preached about is Jesus Christ YHWH's most exalted Name in these last days and beyond! In Joel 2:32 and Psalms 54:1, it is said that YHWH's Name brings salvation but in Acts 4:12; 16:31 and Matthew 12:21 we are told there is no other name in Heaven or Earth that can guarantee salvation except The Name, Jesus Christ in other words, Jesus is YHWH's Name that brings salvation. In fact Matthew 1:21 informs us that the Name Jesus actually means ˜YHWH is Saviour'”. Accept Him as your GOD or continue to despise and blaspheme His name to your own hurt. As it is with Jesus, this was predicted in Isaiah 49:7, 52:5-6 and Jude 15. Which other name called GOD is more loathed today than the name of Jesus? Answer that for your self and discover who YHWH is! It is common practice among occultist groups to disparage, debase, despise and blaspheme The Name of Jesus. Ask them, if they will be truthful, they will tell you it is a cardinal indoctrination subject. They can continue their insult and if they care, publicly, because it only reinforces my illumination on whom the real God is. Who is the ultimate Revealer? One of the attributes of He that is God is that He must be able to reveal hidden things accurately. GOD in psalms 44:21 and Isaiah 48:3-8 made known that it is the character of He that is God to declare events before they happen, He then challenges whoever wants to contest that seat with Him to a duel of revelation prowess. In support of this, Daniel in Daniel 2:27-28; Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel 2:47 and Jesus in Matthew 16:17 all concur that the only perfect revealer is Almighty GOD. To prove that He walks His talk, He named an emperor for an empire that was not yet founded (Isaiah 45:1-6), and in Daniel 2:31-45, chapters 7, 8, and 11; without ambiguity He outlined future world events in a chronology that astounds even the worst skeptic. Thus, this exclusive attribute help us to pin down the identity of the LORD GOD, because in Psalms 45:4; Luke 24:45; Matthew 13:11 and Hebrews 4:12-13, it is stated that Jesus Christ is the revealer. And just like YHWH, He proved His exclusive power by detailing in the Book of Revelations, events leading to the apocalypse at Armageddon. If a right is exclusively GOD's and Jesus has it, then we can only say that the LORD GOD and Jesus Christ refer to one person. Who was disappointed with Israel? After spending time and money to show a person your way of life, it will be sore disappointing if such a person acts in the very opposite of what you were trying to prevent. In Deuteronomy
  • 22. 32:10-20, Moses under the unction of the Holy Spirit declared the future spiritual state of Israel and GOD's unhappiness with them. This is echoed in Psalms 81:4-12, Isaiah 5:1-7, 12-14, Hosea 5:2-7 and 9:1 where the LORD GOD complained bitterly of how Israel had rendered a waste all the effort He put in to win his love. It is a common business fact that the man who made an investment is the one who feels the full weight and pangs of a loss. How did Jesus get to be disappointed? When did He make His investment? Why would His tone and mood in John 8:26, 37-47 and Matthew 21:33-45 show He was very disappointed with the House of Israel? Why did He suggest they were acting below expectation? He Himself answers them in John 8:47 by implying that He is the LORD GOD who has invested heavily on Israel. More dramatically, in Matthew 23:31-chapter 24:1-2, Jesus makes known His disappointment with Israel and because He departed the Temple in anger, the glory of the Temple left with Him; as they say the rest is history. For Jesus to be disappointed with Israel is a proof that He is the LORD GOD because what He showed in the spiritual, He confirmed in His flesh. Who spoke in parables to Israel? Because the House of Israel had turned away from following the LORD GOD, He himself proceeded to teach them in parables. This was to ensure that those who are wise in their eyes do not get to understand the simplicity of the hard nut called salvation (Isaiah 28:13 and 29:10-14). Mark 4:10-12, 33-34 and Luke 8:10 however, reveal the identity of the LORD GOD who vowed to teach Israel with parables. Who gives fulfilling rest? One of the promises of GOD is to give those who respect Him, is eternal and fulfilling rest. In Exodus 33:14, YHWH the Father promises to give rest to the House of Israel. But in Hebrews 3:11, it is said that the Holy Spirit didn't give all of the House of Israel rest because of disobedience. Hebrews 4:4-10 is a bit knotty but when looked closely it helps us in unveiling the mystery of GOD. Here it can be seen that GOD the Creator after His creation rested, promising rest to obedient followers; which they did not get in the physical. Similarly, GOD the Redeemer after completing His mission also rested but not before He clarified that the rest spoken about was spiritual (Matthew 11:29, Revelation 6:11), He also granted all who died in His Name to enter into rest until the physical Kingdom was given to them. Putting all together, we observe that all the natures of GOD had at one point or the other promised rest to faithful followers, and since there is only one place of rest and only one group of those resting; all expecting one LORD to avenge their blood, it follows that all these natures referred to one GOD â€" Jesus Christ. The Father had earlier shown the House of Israel the place of rest; obviously in Him (Isaiah 28:12) and when Jesus rephrased the same words, “come unto me all you weary. I will give you rest", He wasn't a rival to or trying to usurp the powers
  • 23. of the Father. When He uttered those indelible words, He was just expounding that He is the Father who gives eternal rest to deserving disciples! Now we see why everything about Jesus' crucifixion was timed to ensure He did no official work on the Sabbath; to correspond with the day His Spiritual nature rested from creating the physical universe. Here is a little mystery: His spiritual Essence created the physical worlds while His physical Essence recreated the spiritual worlds; by so doing He merged the two spheres of existence into one and so we are required to have two perfect natures before we can enjoy our eternal rest in the coming Kingdom, as physical beings with spiritual existence. Who will create a new Heaven and Earth? The expectation of Christians is that at the fullness of time, they will have the capacity to ascend and descend between Heaven and Earth, when the new Heaven and Earth is created. This was what ancient believers hoped to gain by following and worshipping GOD. It is said that the new Heaven and Earth are cities where every thing is made by GOD (Hebrews 11:10). But in II Peter 3:13, Jesus promised to give a new Heaven and Earth to His followers. This was the same promise He made in John 14:2-3. So I asked myself, can someone promise what is not His? Was He really the builder? Revelation 19:4 records that the man on the Throne is GOD, and in Revelation 21:5-6 the man on the Throne is described as the Alpha and Omega and He says He is the one to make new things. Then in Revelation 1:8 and 17-18, the Alpha and Omega is identified as Jesus Christ. Therefore the GOD on the Throne who promised to create a new Heaven and Earth is the LORD Jesus, and since there is only one GOD who sits upon the Throne, Jesus is the same as the LORD GOD who spoke in Isaiah 66:21-24 and 65:17-18. Once again, this is proof that Jesus is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Who has gone to prepare a place for the saints? Every Christians knows that the man who has gone to prepare or should I say, who has already prepared a place for His saints, is the Lord Jesus Christ. But Isaiah 64:4 says that the One who has gone to do that is the LORD GOD! Any question, any body? Who is called the Rock? The symbolism of the rock conjures images of strength, provision, refuge, dependability and immutability. Any man likened to it must be capable to deliver 100% in all these matters. Being a symbol that connotes the highest powers, it is not surprising that Deuteronomy 32:4, 15, 18; II Samuel 22:2-3, 32, 47; Habakkuk 1:12; Psalms 31:2-3 and 18:31 all ascribe this great quality to the LORD GOD. Indeed He is the worthy defense and fortress of salvation and from His belly flow fountains of living waters.
  • 24. It is therefore a code for declassification of the Godhead, if such a title is attributed to Jesus. In Matthew 21:44 Jesus describes Himself as a fearful stone that hurts either way when it is provoked! Isaiah under influence the Holy Spirit calls Jesus Christ the Stronghold, dependable rock of salvation and security (Isaiah 17:10), under the same influence Paul reveals that He (Jesus) is The Rock (I Corinthians 10:4), the one that has been described since the foundation of the world. By this declaration, the connection is unmistakable between YHWH (Yahu, Yahweh), The Rock and Yahushua (Yeshua), The Rock: they refer to one and the same person; Jesus! Who is the Lord? Without further ado, Isaiah 6:1, 3, 5; 10:33 and 19:4 show that the Lord is the LORD GOD of Israel. Put differently, the lord is the physical manifestation of the LORD GOD. This position also finds expression in Genesis 18:1-3, 22-27 and 32-33 amongst others. It is no longer news that the Lord refers to Jesus Christ which is a direct attestation that He is the LORD GOD. This invariably means that the Antichrist is the material manifestation of Lucifer or Satan finally localized by a human form. Now, back to our analysis; King David was inspired to say, "The LORD said unto my Lord, sit down at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool" (Psalms 110:1). Compare this to I Corinthians 15:24-27 where it is clear that it is the Lord is the LORD who is subduing all His enemies! This is the same position held by Psalms 110:5-7. Indeed it is the Lord Jesus Christ who is hard at work. Looking closely, we observe that the LORD declared He will put down all His enemies so that the Lord can rule without rebellion. Similarly, the Lord is in the process of subjugating all enemies so that the LORD can rule freely! Yet there is only one Throne! So what conclusion do we have on our hands here? Any way you turn, you will arrive at the conclusion that Jesus Christ is the LORD GOD. In the light of this, does the argument that I Corinthians 15:28 prove that Jesus Christ is less than God hold water? Doesn't this passage show a time when GOD will longer need His physical being before relating with us? See, when all is set, GOD will no longer need to cover Himself with His veil (Jesus' human form), because the status of perfection that we would have acquired will grant us the right to see the hitherto invisible GOD as He truly is. This is the mystery Paul was trying to teach the church at Corinth. Are there three Thrones of Glory in Heaven? If there are three persons acting as One God, where are the others when The Father sits upon The Only Throne in Heaven? If the other persons have no throne, doesn't that negate the Bible? If there are three thrones, doesn't that mean there is more than One God? In Matthew 26:64 Jesus said, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power" Similarly, Mark 16:19 states, He was received up into Heaven and sat on the right hand of GOD". Other such passages are: Mark 14:62, Acts 7:56 and Hebrews 10:12.Are these passages evidence that there are two thrones in Heaven, one for the Father and one for the Son? What really does the
  • 25. phrase ‘right hand of GOD' mean? Ezekiel 1:26-28, Revelation 11:16 and 19:4 confirms that there is only one Throne and King in Heaven, and everybody, including the Four Creatures and Twenty-four Elders must bow to the only GOD on the Throne. This therefore eliminates any notion that there are two or three thrones in Heaven. This being so, what did Jesus mean when He spoke about the right hand' vis-à -vis what He said in Revelation 3:21? We have already shown that there is one Throne in Heaven and since the occupant is seen by all the inhabitants of Heaven; it means Jesus is actually the person on that Throne. From close scrutiny, it can be seen that the phrase ‘right hand' have different meanings, viz: i. it refers to a person (Exodus 15:6; Psalms 45:4; 77:10; 78:54) ii. it refers to an office (Psalms 48:10; 80:17) iii. it means action (Psalms 110:5) When GOD told His humanity to sit at His right hand until there is absolute subjugation of His enemies (Psalms 110:1), He actually implied ‘wait' until all is ready for unquestionable governance of all humanity a time when GOD will rule humanity through direct contact with humanity through His own humanity. (Revelation 7:15-17). This task of annihilating the opposition was to be done by the LORD but Psalms 110:5 shows that one who did the work is the Lord (written this way to refer to the LORD covered with His flesh). Isaiah 51:22 shows that the Lord is the LORD GOD as The Mediator for His people. Moreover the Bible has consistently made it clear that Jesus has one body and one Spirit (Ephesians 4:4-6) the Lord and the LORD. Hence we can rightly say that the person, office and action of GOD as captured by the phrase ‘right hand of GOD' is housed in the one GOD who is already seated on the Throne. (Revelation 7:15-17) Since GOD has not and can not abdicate His Throne at any time, the phrase is another way of declaring that Jesus Christ is the LORD GOD operating in His office as the LORD GOD; or less technically, the humanity of GOD is the visible occupant of the Throne occupied by the Invisible GOD. Get wisdom from 1 John 2:22-23; any religion or organization that openly opposes what The Bible says concerning Jesus is antichristian. And any world leader in whose hands the antichristian religion prospers is The Antichrist. In conclusion, none of the arguments and evidence we have put forward can fully disclose Jesus to you. Together these add up to just a whisper of knowledge of The Most Mighty King. To know Jesus, you must believe in Him first, thereafter He will give you further light if you truly want to know Him. The greatest question that will herald the end of days is, "who do you say Jesus is?" The Bible declares that He is The LORD GOD, YHWH. This is The Key to Eternal Life. When people begin to tell you we are worshipping the same God, tell them except that God is Jesus of Nazareth, there is no truth in them. Beloved; repent of your sins, accept Jesus as your Saviour, Lord, King and God OR oppose Him at your peril. Choose Jesus, choose life and receive the eternal blessings that come with Jesus.
