  2. 2. <ul><li>Bharti Foundation </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Bharti Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Bharti Group Companies. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>The prime objective is to bridge the existing education divide and make quality education accessible to underprivileged children in rural India. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>The Foundation aims to help underprivileged children and young people of our country realize their potential. </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Satya Bharti School Program </li></ul><ul><ul><li>The Satya Bharti School Program is the flagship program of Bharti Foundation. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>It aims to deliver free quality education to underprivileged children, with special focus on the girl child across rural India. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Present Operational Status: </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Number of Schools Operational: 250 </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>States of Operation: Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh & Tamil Nadu </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Number of Students Enrolled: Over 35,000 ( Approx) </li></ul></ul></ul>Introduction
  3. 3. <ul><li>Geographical Location : Bodhani is a dhani of village Achrol. Gram Panchayat-Achrol .located 3 kms interior from the NH-8 District- Jaipur ,Rajasthan. </li></ul><ul><li>Cultural Background : Bodhani is a village of Yadav community (OBC). mainly dependent on Agriculture and Dairy Business. The male and female members equally engaging in the field work and maximum time spending in the work of farming or animal husbandry. </li></ul><ul><li>Role of Satya Bharti School in the Village : Earlier the children used to went in the agricultural field with their parents or taking care of cattle. Only for formality there was very less enrollment in the school but today there is 81 students in Bodhani from the 52 household. </li></ul><ul><li>Participation in ‘Design for change’ School Contest :The community of this Dhani is not serious about the girl child and her education. But when the students of our school went to the community and present their aim they felt their fault and promised us not to repeat. </li></ul>About the Community
  4. 4. <ul><li>When our ANM worker Mrs.Santosh sharma came for health checkup of our school’s children she was talking to our teacher about the decrease rate of girl child ratio of our dhani. She was unhappy with the ratio. Then we asked our teacher about this, she told that parents think that girls are the second name of poorness and problems in our village and they don’t want any girl child in their home. That’s why our school have low girl children enrollment. </li></ul><ul><li>This was very shocking to us and we decided to work on this. </li></ul>We ‘Felt’: Photograph (If any)

Social status of the family </li></ul><ul><li>3.What is “area of influence“ </li></ul><ul><li>How we can solve the problem at- </li></ul><ul><li>A. Family level </li></ul><ul><li>B.   7. 7. <ul><li>The women of the community were very happy with our aim and they blessed us a lot and sang a song for our motivation. </li></ul><ul><li>They promise us to protect and send their girl child in the school to read and mark her name in the list of educated girls of the village. </li></ul>Impact on Community: Photograph (If any)
  8. 8. <ul><li>Students are now more motivated now. </li></ul><ul><li>Encouraged to take initiatives. </li></ul><ul><li>Can plan and implement. </li></ul><ul><li>Enhanced leadership and team spirit among the students. </li></ul><ul><li>Ignited the feeling of ownership among the students </li></ul><ul><li>There is now more association and bonding among students to think innovatively and creatively. </li></ul><ul><li>It is now reflected that our students proved the theory of Bloom Taxonomy – Recall, Knowledge, Comprehension, Application, Analysis, Synthesis and Evaluation through this campaign </li></ul><ul><li>Teachers were feel more empowered in the process of execution and implementation and wined the more faith of the people. </li></ul><ul><li>Teachers got appreciation and positive responses from the community, which added jewel to their rapport and identification as a social activist for a social change. </li></ul>Impact on Us:
  9. 9. <ul><li>Kajore Yadav (Bodhani) – Your students are doing a good job. its really very good & we will try to save our girl child as much as possible. </li></ul><ul><li>Abhishek Yadav(Class Vth) – I enjoyed so much in the rally and hooting slogans (Class Vth) – When addressing and facing the people I was confused whether they are understanding or not. </li></ul><ul><li>Priyanka Yadav(V class)-Mai bahut khush hun kyunki humne bahut achha kaam kiya mere papa Bahut kush the ye jankar ki humne gaon ke liye ye sab kiya. </li></ul><ul><li>Sandeep Sharma & Staff-Humne kabhi nahi socha tha ke ye bachhe itne bade issue par kaam kar payenge.is par to humara seena garva se chuda ho gaya. </li></ul>Experience of Community Members & Teachers:
  10. 10. <ul><li>In the future there will be more conscious about the health report of the students. </li></ul><ul><li>We will be in touch of women of our village to know the status of the girls. </li></ul><ul><li>We will discus the problems in the PTM & Other meetings of the girls of our school. </li></ul><ul><li>We will display the achievements of the girls at our street points to motivate the community to protect the girls. </li></ul>The Road Ahead…..
