Our story of Change from
Satya Bharti School Labana, Jaipur, Rajasthan,
Bharti Foundation
Problem being attempted to change :Satya bharti school labana is located
at N.H. 11.a very very busy highway.road accident is a common part of this
village.the way of the students of this school on this N.H.but the death of
kalu(Rohit) a student of S.b.g.p.s.labana.on this road shocked his companion
deeply.they felt that if we change the way of school we never lost our bosom friend
again.
2. Introduction
• Bharti Foundation
– Bharti Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Bharti Group Companies.
– The prime objective is to bridge the existing education divide and make quality
education accessible to underprivileged children in rural India.
– The Foundation aims to help underprivileged children and young people of our country
realize their potential.
• Satya Bharti School Program
– The Satya Bharti School Program is the flagship program of Bharti Foundation.
– It aims to deliver free quality education to underprivileged children, with special focus
on the girl child across rural India.
– Present Operational Status:
• Number of Schools Operational: 254
• States of Operation: Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh,
Tamil Nadu & west Bengal
• Number of Students Enrolled: Over 38,000
3. About the Community
• Geographical Location:
– This village is located on N.H.11. Delhi to Jaipur.and S.b.g.p.s. Labana.also on it.
• Cultural Background:
– All community is Hindu. But divide in caste system as S.C., S.T., GEN. S.B.C. O.B.C.
but S.C caste is more than others.
• Role of Satya Bharti School in the Village:
– Very big role plays this school in community development as to connect all children in
school, Girl child education, Health hygiene, consumer health and safety, disease
prevention.
• Participation in ‘Design for Giving’ School Contest:
– When students motivate them they ready every time. When students refused to go
school on the way of highway and starts Dharna at Panchayat they support it heartly
and last panchayat issue new way for students for their safety.
4. We ‘Felt’:
• We felt that the road accident is comman problem of
this village And this Primary school is also located on
this road. Students enter the school after cross the
road. And many villagers and students died in road
accident. In these persons a student of our school
Rohit Kharadiya (Kalu) also included and a boy Rohit
student of class 5 also lost his hand. So students felt
that if we change the way of school we can stop such
types of accidents. And in memory of kalu students of
s.b.g.p.s .Labana. decide to open new way of school
in a community member’s land.
5. We ‘Imagined’:

school gate and at N.H.
6. We ‘Did’:
• 1-Dharna in village Panchayat.
2-Talk with community head on the high way.
