MEETING PURPOSE
Thank you for joining us and participating in this community
discussion.
The purpose of this meeting is to take public comments on
proposed service changes that will be effective on Monday,
September 4, 2017. No final decisions have been made.

TIMELINES
COTA modifies service three times per year – the first
Monday of:
• January
• May
• September
September 2017 changes will begin on Monday, September
4, 2017, Holiday service will operate as it will be Labor Day.

SCHEDULE ADJUSTMENTS
Travel times are proposed to be adjusted to improve on-time
service on the following lines:

• 5 W 5th Ave/Refugee (All Days)
• 10 E Broad (All Days)
Standard
• 4 Indianola/Lockbourne (All Days)
• 12 McKinley/Fields (Weekdays)
• 21 Hilliard Rome (All Days)
• 32 N Broadway (Weekdays)
Lines that have improvements and construction reroutes that
are noted in the presentation may have schedule changes as well
Rush Hour
• 51 Reynoldsburg
• 72 Tuttle
• 73 Dublin
All travel time adjustments are tentative
Some may drop off and/or more may be added

• Link North Columbus and Easton
• Provide new connections to
existing COTA service
Frequency: 45 minutes

Approx. 6:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

NEW NORTHLAND TRANSIT CENTER
In October, the Northland Transit
Center on Cleveland Ave just south of
SR 161 is scheduled to open. Line 6
Cleveland/Sullivant, (new) Line 35
Dublin Granville and Rush Hour Line
43 Westerville will serve the new
Transit Center.

Goal: Provide
new end of line /
turnaround for Line
10 E. Broad / W.

extension: The
eastbound Line 10
(To Hamilton Rd)
trips will extend
about 1.5 miles and
end at Mt Carmel
East Hospital,
instead of the
former Golf Center
near Hamilton Rd. Line 10 (To Reynoldsburg) will be unaffected.

southbound alignment along
Joyce Ave, following the
completion of construction of
southbound Joyce Ave
between E Hudson St & E
17th Ave.
Normal Southbound
alignment:
Heading east on Hudson St.
• Continue east on Hudson

Cleveland Ave)
• South on Joyce Ave
Continue normal alignment
RETURN TO NORMAL ALIGNMENT: 11 BRYDEN/MAIZE
Northbound alignment continues same route

Goal: Return Line 7 (To Airport) trips into VA campus, when
construction at the Charles P. Wylie VA Ambulatory Care
Center moves to a different area of campus
Proposed Stop: Just south of the VA entrance
NEW TEMPORARY ALIGNMENT: LINE 7 MT VERNON (TO AIRPORT)

Goal: To improve travel times on COTA service during I-70/I-71 and
Mound St & Fulton St construction impacts
Timeline: Starting Summer 2017
Potential lines that may be re-routed in the Downtown Columbus area:

- 2 E Main/N High
- 3 Northwest/Harrisburg
- 4 Indianola/Lockbourne
- 7 Mt Vernon
- 9 W Mound/Brentnell
- 11 Bryden/Maize
