- So xACTION gives us a jump start in enterprise system integration. You don’t need to wait for your HRIS or your CRM to accept xAPI, xACTION can collect xAPI data and send it as the payload for a REST api. xACTION could notify an hris that that someone finished a learning plan. Or add a user to marketing list in salesforce based on completing a specific training.
- xAPI can be “chatty”. By that I mean that I mean that I see lots of things that I view as extraneous. For example, Duncan experienced page 3… To me as a training administrator, this means very little to me. If I was an instructional designer concerned with the flow or route that someone took through content I’d created, this may be very important to me. To help cut out some of that “noise” xACTION can watch for xAPI statements, match them to rules and forward a specific statement from that noisy or transactional LRS to an Authorities LRS. Now, I just get the statements that are valuable for me.
