artists, then compared them to our work.

2. Maverick Sabre is represented in these videos a young professional
musician. Maverick Sabre’s music is a mix between the soul & indie
genre. In his videos he appears confident and yet full of emotion. I
couldn’t find any magazine interviews only radio, this suggests he is a
very busy character and show that his career is something he takes
seriously. Again, represented positively

Professor Green appears as a confident young
male. Often in some of his videos he is
presented as a party animal/bachelor
however, in his interviews an albums he has
this person as professional and serious.
This creates a good mix. This makes Professor
Green appear as though he is enjoying his
career yet is still responsible and mature.

4. Dappy is represented differently to many other male artists.
Dappy is shown in a negative light, often relating to the
police. Dappy’s music is grime/hip-hop and he often
receives bad publicity. This means he doesn’t do many
interviews as the magazines and radio’s aren’t as
interested. This doesn’t necessarily mean the music is bad
it just means he continues a negative to keep up a bad
reputation.

5. Print Screens from the
actual video-
This is print-screens from all of our pieces, they
look realistic and match the conventions of real
media products. They represent male artists in a
similar way to how others are shown. Will has
been represented in modern way, a individual
showing feelings. Will looks as though he is
showing positive aspects like other artists such as;

6. Summary-
We believe our combination of a music
video, DigiPak and magazine poster look good
together because they create a persona for
our character. They represent male artists and
the genre of ‘indie/soul’ in a positive light. The
power point shows the difference between a
good and bad reputation. Our character ‘Will
Fixie’ shows a modern representation of men
which works well with the three products.
