This document outlines the skills, equipment, and barriers needed for computer-assisted language learning (CALL). The basic skills required are proficiency with word processing, email, internet access, and comfort using technology in the classroom. At minimum, one computer, internet connection, printer, audio capabilities, and basic software are needed. Common barriers to CALL adoption include financial constraints, limited hardware/software availability, insufficient technical and theoretical knowledge, and reluctance to accept new technologies.
