Project Details:
GoldenSource Positions & Transactions is a powerful positions, balances and
transactions consolidation engine. The application aggregates positions and balances to provide
immediate and accurate access to the financial totals and details needed for decision making,
customer service and daily operations. Positions and balances can be aggregated across a variety
of different levels such as by client, by firm, by department, etc. as well as by sub-ledger such as
available cash, pending settlements, available collateral, pledged securities, etc.
The application also translates disparate sets of transaction formats from multiple feeder
systems into one consistent set of transaction formats. This facilitates data sharing and simplifies
adding any new analytical applications as required.
It operates in real-time but can also be used to create a simple data store of transaction and
position history data. It is useful for trade capture and for creating a simplified data store when
real time position update is not required.
The Positions & Transaction application is integrated into the EDM suite that enables
transactions from single or multiple source systems, to be standardized, validated, enriched,
linked and made available to other systems that need it.
Modules:
1. Positions Engine: Deals with positions, balances and transactions consolidation engine.
2. Data warehouse: Centralizes positions data to manage risk, performance and regulatory
compliance. The Data Warehouse improves analysis and reporting capabilities, providing
asset managers with a quick, single view of their customers' portfolios. Traders, middle
and back office managers will, in addition, have an enterprise level view of risk and
exposure.
3. Message Translator (Mapping Designer): Base infrastructure required for
GoldenSource EDM. + Testing tool for MDX and MSF (mapping specification files).
4. BaseComponents: A framework designed in C++ which provides various wrapper
classes to call Oracle’s API’s and other open source projects (Xerces, STL, boost etc).
5. Mapping Composer: An MFC based application for composing MDX or MSF files.
6. Transaction Tracer: Application used to translate input messages that processing engine
can understand and route it to Backend (Oracle 11g server).

Description : BBS a Prestigious project in BSE (Bombay Stock
Exchange) currently is being used for IPO (Initial Public
Offer) to get listed in BSE. Every company, which is
approved by SEBI to come with IPO, has to go through this
Software. And RBBS system is working for company to de-
list from Stock Market. This system is one of the largest
electronic book building networks anywhere spanning over
350 Indian cities through over 7000 Trader Work Stations via
leased lines and VSATs.
The front End (3 modules; 2 modules (PB) – monitoring and
data entry; 1 module (C++) – bid entry) is developed in
C++ and PowerBuilder, while the backend uses UNIX – C
and Sybase.

Description : The Intermediate Message Layer is designed
and developed by CMC Limited for Index Futures,
Index Options, and Stock Options. It interfaces
dealer server software, which may be written by
any third party with the central trading engine
(CTE) of DTSS. The system may typically run on
Pentium machines networked using Ethernet or
data-over-voice links on leased phone lines to the
CTE and a LAN to one or more dealer servers of
the same member.
In the computerized scenario, the member / trader sits
in his / her own office and sends his / her orders to the
CTE using the DTSS through DIML. He / she can also
view the market and print various reports by downloading
the required data from the CTE to the DTSS through
DIML.
