and working on initiatives to provide more value to the client and in the process saving time for the development of

Support.For most of the Projects in FedEx, we involve mostly on Mainframe retirement activities along with legacy
Modernization. As part of this project we have retired more than 30 databases and 500 modules. At the same time we

About Application: - LPAR MF is a system designed to create and maintain long time archival tape datasets that
stores an individual summary of activity for each Package shipped in FederalExpress. It includes from the Package
pick up to its delivery. It is an Airbill-level, mainframe tape database that has been used for over years. LPAR MF
system supports multiple personnel and departments at FedEx (like Legal, Marketing, Trending, Revenue groups
etc.),by storing and making the data (Individual summary of activities of each Express Package) available in the form
of datasets,for their business data analysis.
As an Onsite Coordinator My responsibilities include assigning the works among all the team members and
monitoring their task. Design, Coding and Unit testing various modules .Proactively handled the project at offshore

Splits that currently exist for a location.

4. Project #5 : Merge Involved Party (One HSBC Customer Data Management)
Client : HSBC UK.

Purpose : Assignment given at HSBC Global Technology.

About OHCDM,
Previously the other name of OHCDM was CDU (Customer Data Utility).It Designed initially for UK in 1995. Now
acts as central database to all major systems. HSBC core business data, embedded in many applications, is spread
across many systems and hardware platforms. This gives rise to data duplication, data inconsistency and many other
problems. A single database of core Customers, Limits, Securities, Reference and Organizations were suggested,
which can serve as a source of data to all the applications. Applications would maintain and utilize data within the
Data Utilities by means of ‘Access Routines’ provided by the Data Utilities.
The primary function of CDU is to store customer data in a single regional repository and under a single profile,
and to provide delivery and maintenance of that data via standard APIs. This provides the business with a common
customer view, simplifies interfaces to warehouses, and protects applications from changes to the underlying
database. CDU Data Server allows application to access the Data Utility databases through ‘Access Routines’ to
retrieve, update, delete or insert data. Data is passed between applications and the Data Utilities in logical records
called ‘Data groups’. One of the important features of OHCDM is Change Notification. Change Notification is the
process that delivers OHCDM data changes to external system. Change Notification can deliver changes using a
number of methods, including delivery to a DB2 table, delivery to a subscriber’s module and delivery to remote
systems over EAI (R2ds).
Description:
A stated aim of CDU is to provide a “single customer view”. This is achieved by providing a single
recorded profile for each distinct Involved Party.1However, poorly defined business processes and a lack of
validation may lead to the creation of duplicated profiles for a given Involved Party. As duplicate profiles
build up within the repository then a number of business processes begin to degrade. So to overcome this
problem Merge Involved party concepts came to the picture. This process works on three steps. First Step is
identification of duplicate profile & categorized as Master (to be retained) & Slave (to be purged).
Second Step is Merge Service. The Merge Service operates on a group of pairs of duplicates. Each pair is
merged discretely. Business rules are applied to ensure that the most appropriate data is transferred to the
Master profile. This service can be invoked on-line or by a batch process.
And the third one is Purge; this process will purge the Slave profile when all relevant data has been
transferred to the Master.

The Trunk Integrated Record Keeping System (TIRKS) is an operations System developed for mechanize circuit
provisioning. TIRKS supports daily provisioning process. The daily provisioning process consists of processing
orders initiated to satisfy customer needs for special service circuits, and processing orders initiated for message
trunks and carrier systems for the Public switched telephone network. The daily circuit provisioning process begins at
various operations centers and flows to the Circuit Provisioning Centers (CPC) which tracks orders, designs the
circuits, and assigns the components. The CPC prepares the work packages and distributes them to craftspeople

work activities.
Description of work: This project is a part of a SBC Merger. For this enhancements were done to the previous
modules. In order to accept the service codes of the SBC a new logic has been written .Previously Circuit s consisting
of AT&T service codes only accepted but for this project the new equivalent values of SBC service code variables are
designed to accept through the new logic written
