When starting a project what I do is approach the work team because for me building a
comfortable work environment will provide better results. because learning technical is not
difficult in today's technological era, many data and learn we can get from the internet and a
lot can be done by robots, but robots will never have feelings, so I always run it on every
project.
As a field leader, I have to be smart to open all the skills of my colleagues in the field because
there will be no leader who understands everything, at least I understand the basics and the
goal in which direction according to the standards and values of the company. Translated with

The number of EPC/FEED contracts signed for a green field metal smelter can vary depending on the project's size and complexity. Typically, there
would be one FEED contractor, but there may be multiple EPC contractors for different packages or scopes of work. FEED competition is more
common than single FEED as it allows the owner to compare different engineering approaches, solutions, and costs from multiple bidders. The
decision to choose FEED competition or single FEED depends on the project's complexity, risk profile, and owner's preferences
.In a FEED competition, the winning EPC contractor would usually charge for their FEED cost, which can be negotiated between the parties before
the contract award. After FEED, the selection process for EPC/EPCM would involve a bidding process where qualified contractors would submit
their proposals based on the FEED study and owner's specifications. The selection criteria would include technical capability, experience,
resources, price, and schedule. The owner would evaluate the proposals and award the contract to the most suitable bidder.
EPC, EPC+ PMO, EPCM, BOOT, BOT are different project delivery models with varying levels of risk and responsibility allocated to the owner and
contractor. The choice of the model depends on the owner's project objectives, risk appetite, financing options, and capability to manage the
project. EPC is a turnkey model where the contractor is responsible for the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of the project.
EPCM is a consultancy model where the contractor provides engineering, procurement, and construction management services, and the owner
manages the project. BOOT and BOT are financing models where the contractor finances and operates the project for a certain period before
transferring ownership to the owner.
The choice of EPC, EPC+ PMO, EPCM models would impact the FEED process and decision-making as each model has different contractual
arrangements, risk allocation, and responsibilities. For example, in EPC, the contractor has full responsibility for the project delivery, while in EPCM,
the owner retains control of the project management. The choice of the model would depend on the owner's preference to manage the project or
delegate the responsibility to the contractor.
What are the key considerations for owners to choose EPC/FEED players?
The owner's considerations in choosing EPC/FEED players would include their track record, technical capability, financial stability, risk management,
and alignment with the owner's project objectives.
The FEED stage cost estimate accuracy ranges from +/-
15 to 20% (CAPEX). Depending on the type of EPC
contract and the quantity of detailing required to deem the
project ready for Detailed Design, engineering is typically
12 to 20% complete by the end of this stage.

Even though the FEED stage typically only accounts for
2% of the total project execution costs, it can, when done
well, save up to 20-30% on subsequent design and
execution costs. It's a good idea to add the operations and
construction teams early on.
