CUNA Mutual Group Talent Acquisition
Strengthening Our Campus Recruiting Program
Campus Recruiting Mission: To develop and execute a recruiting strategy to attract, develop and retain
diverse college hires in order to cultivate the latest intellectual capital to fuel continuous innovation, agility
and inclusion within CUNA Mutual Group.
We have a successful internship program in place. To keep us on track goal of meeting our Campus Recruiting
Mission we have begun to broaden our thinking as it pertains to recruiting. One of the foundational steps to
ensure a sound Campus Recruiting Program is the establishment of a solid program infrastructure. As a result
we are expanding our campus efforts beyond intern recruiting to include full-time hires and graduate
students. This requires us to shift our focus and execute a well-rounded plan for Campus Recruiting in 2016.
The plan must be integrated with organizational talent and business strategies.
Areas of Focus for 2016:
 Review current recruiting process to streamline and maximize resources
o Flawless Repeatable process from year to year.
o Identify tools to simplify recruiting process.
o Establish a yearly recruiting calendar in advance.
o Targeted school selection-using specific historic recruiting data and school statistics to aid in
school selection process.
o Establishing and implementing a tiered approach to Campus Reciting. (Primary, Secondary and
Third Tier Schools).
o CUNA Mutual Group Campus Ambassadors Program(Employee and Executive assistance in
recruiting efforts)
 Attend and host events to increase CUNA Mutual Group recognition outside of current
region.
o Participate in Framework for Opportunity Convergence and the Utilization of Sustainable
Solutions (FOCUSS) a case competition with Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
o CUNA Mutual Group Career day.
o Identify and attend national recruiting conferences yearly.
