• Since 16 November, 2010 Nepal has adopted the concept of 3 digit no (102).
• Patan Hospital, out of total patients arriving emergency room only 10% arrive by
ambulance and 54% arrive by taxi.
• Largest ambulance service provider SOS, 168 ambulance.
• No medical help due too lack of trained paramedics during the route.
• Misconception that when ambulances are busy dropping patients off at the
hospital.
