Lesson plan
Grade: VII
Overall objectives: St. will be able to develop the basic vocabulary of different models of government, match
the words with their definitions and describe the countries by their systems of government.
Language objectives: St. will revise new words, will guess the description of the models of government.
Civic education: St. will learn about their systems of government.

  • 1. Lesson plan Grade: VII Overall objectives: St. will be able to develop the basic vocabulary of different models of government, match the words with their definitions and describe the countries by their systems of government. Language objectives: St. will revise new words, will guess the description of the models of government. Civic education: St. will learn about their systems of government. Stage of Lesson Activity Time Warm up Ask students to elicit the new 5 minutes words with they learnt, revise some previously taught vocabulary. Activity 1 Using the slide show, ask students 10 minutes to guess the meanings of the models of government. Activity 2 Ask students to do the tests by 10 minutes choosing the right answer. Activity 3 Ask students to do the true/false 5 minutes exercise and correct the false sentences. Activity 4 Give students the handouts about 10 minutes the countries with their governmental systems (solo work) than in pairs students must try to guess their partnerโ€™s country by asking the questions. Activity 5 Drawing the map using different colors by their systems of government. 5 minutes
