1. Color Schemes and Photoshop de Beaufort
Directions:
1. Using the digital images from our milk and food-coloring experiment, produce 5 images (you can use
the same source image) utilizing monochromatic, analogous, complimentary, triad/tetrad, and open
palettes. Please use the Color Scheme designer when applicable: http://colorschemedesigner.com/
2. Manipulate the images in photoshop using color balance, hue, saturation, and replace color to achieve
the desired effect.
3. Upload the images to Picasa or another image sharing platform an e-mail me a link to each image.
Student Learning Objectives:
1. Students will demonstrate knowledge of color schemes and color relationships.
2. Students will demonstrate basic photoshop skills and technology proficiency.
Grading Rubric:
CONCEPT (50 pts) : The project makes use of the five complementary schemes listed and
each example is an accurate representation.
PROFESSIONALISM (50pts): Your images are uploaded correctly to the internet, and there
is no image degradation or other problem.
