Focus Group / Remarks from students about my radio show/ Make fake quotes
Focus Group on Student Talk Radio
To gather feedback for my news production I did a focus group with my classmates when most of them were
present before lunch. Damien played my news production from sound cloud on the projector whileI handed
out lined paper and pens for my classmates to write their feedback on, I gave them 9 sub-headingquestion’s
so they knew what they had to write about and they were ‘Do you likethe sound effect’s used?’ ‘What do you
think of the VoxPop E-Cigarettes VS Cigarettes?’ ‘Did you likethe interview with Jess Lishak?’‘What is Olivia’s
speakinglike? Is itslow,or too fast?’ ‘Does Olivia sound confident?’‘Were any of the interviews too long or
too short?’‘Do you likethe way the news radio showis puttogether?’ ‘What is your overall opinion on
Student Talk?’‘What could be improved?’ and then collected all of the papers at the end to gather my
feedback.
Here is the feedback from the student’s.
Do you like the sound effect’s used?
1. Yes I think the sound effect at the start of the radio show was very good to introduce with.
2. They were alright there wasn’t a lot used but when they were they were used in the right way.
3. Yeah they were good.
4. I think the sound effects used are a bit over used but it worked.
5. Yep.
What do you think of the VoxPop E-Cigarettes VS Cigarettes?
1. I liked it becauseshe asked the question then put the responses of the people she had interviewed
after each other instead of askingthe same question for each person.
2. It was cool and the responses were funny.
3. I can’t believe how many people smoke e-cigs in our class.
