  1. Marketing is more than Promotion and publicity – it is about knowing your audience and how to reach them. Who is your target audience – this determines approach to the 4p’s – in visual arts, compared with other art forms, (performing arts), it is free - Selling points – Reputation of Artist, Associations with high profile, and international, Curators and/or museums, artist in person through talk, high profile figure to open exhibition and draw crowd – signings of publications.
