3. Rosebank College Motto
Our College motto is the Latin phrase “Sursum Corda”
which means “Lift up your Hearts”.
Our motto is a reminder for all of us of the joy which:
• Is part of our own knowledge of and relationship with Jesus Christ;
• Is part of a life based on Christian ideals put into practice;
• Each of us individually tries to build within our own school community;
• Is so much more complete if it is willingly shared with others.
The challenge for us is to share the joy conveyed by “Sursum Corda” with each other ;
if we can do this, Rosebank as a community will be more genuinely Christian, where the
joy of Christ may be experienced by all.
