Welcome to Common App Ready.
Students should navigate to commonapp.org, click on Apply Now to create a new account or to Sign In to an existing account.
Applicants can navigate to the Common App tab to begin working on the Common Application.
Navigate to the Testing Section located on the left side of the screen.
The Testing section is where you’ll enter your self-reported scores for any of the following standardized tests: ACT, SAT/SAT Subject, AP, IB, TOEFL, PTE Academic, and IELTS. While you can self-report your scores in the Common App, you must also send official score reports from the testing agency, for example ACT and the College Board for SATs.
From a drop down box, applicants can select each type of exam that they wish to self report.
As each kind of exam is added to the applicant’s Common Application, a section will appear at the bottom of the screen for entry.
Once you indicate that you would like to self-report your scores, you’ll be prompted to enter the test type. Doing so will then provide you an area in which to share the detailed information for that test. You can select more test options by clicking inside the box over and over until you have entered all of the tests you wish to report. If you would like to remove a test that you’ve already selected, just click the "x" within the name of the test to remove a selection from the box.
Each exam section allows for you to self-report the highest sub-score and the date that the exam was taken.
Some International Applicants are required to take Senior Secondary Leaving Examinations as a requirement for graduation. Applicants can add actual or predicted scores.
Test-Optional Trick
If you are applying to a test-optional college or university and you do not want to self-report scores, you can go back to the original question regarding whether or not you want to self-report scores. By clicking “No”, your tests and scores will disappear. Change it back to “Yes” and they reappear.
The testing information you input and save is never deleted, it is just hidden giving you control over the scores that are sent to each college.
