2. SUMMARY
• The Apple App Store was created in 2008 by Apple.
• It gave apple the chance to introduce a charge on top of the basic cost of app
and control its quality.
• After much complains in September 2010, Apple made available their guidelines
to applications developers.
• Apple make use of a set of guidelines to review app before its inclusion
• The method used by its Review board has led most developers to making use of
competitor’s app store.
3. DISCUSSION
• Apple guidelines for app approval was a move that should have come earlier.
• Research shows that the guidelines and the review process is a good move as it
has help to curb:
• Low quality Apps
• Apps with Malware
• Apps with dangerous backdoors
• Other Apps issues
• Also with the guidelines developer now have a major tool which they can use in
creating applications for the App Store.
4. DISCUSSION CONTD.
• This development is beneficial to both Apple and the developers involved in the
App Store.
• The main aim of the guidelines seem to be aimed at ensuring that Apple users
can only access high-quality and non-controversial apps from its App Store.
• Statistics shows that since the release of the guidelines the number of available
applications has constantly been increasing.

7. ANSWERS TO CASE QUESTIONS
• Yes, should continue conducting their review process. As it helps them control
quality of Apps I their store.
• Consigning the issue with the Flash, the management has the right to choose for
itself undermining the consequences.
• Personally, the Apple company wants to secure the quality of their product and
have the right to do so. Therefore making the process compulsory necessary.
8. CONCLUSION
• We all need to look at the positives from this review process.
• Developers who want to have their app on the iOS, Mac, or App Store need to
know that App Review is something they have to deal with.
• I suggest that Apple need to work more consigning the slow process of the
review.
• Developers should work more on producing more standard Apps .
