2. CULTURE PROGRAMME
The Culture Programme has been established to enhance the cultural area shared by Europeans,
which is based on a common cultural heritage, through the development of cooperation activities
among cultural
operators from eligible countries (2), with a view to encouraging the emergence of European
citizenship.
The Programme is aimed at three specific objectives:
• promotion of the trans-national mobility of people working in the cultural sector,
• support for the trans-national circulation of cultural and artistic works and products,
• promotion of inter-cultural dialogue.

4. GENERAL AIMS OF THE PROJECT:
• create a systematic approach to information (spread through workshops, seminars and the
publication o a thematic archive online)
• preserve and enhance tangible and intangible assets connected to water (by creating touring
itineraries, Virtual Tours, photograph exhibitions and artistic performances on the theme of water)
• create and stimulate awareness at European and extra-European level of the need to preserve and
enhance these tangible and intangible assets connected to water using

5. SPECIFIC AIMS OF THE PROJECT:
RESEARCH
 Research by appropriately selecting case studies
 Identification of elements which define water in a cultural sense (uses, architecture, meaning, ect.)
 Creation of an thematic digital archive

 Workshops and thematic seminars: Bolsena (3-4/12/2010); Braga (25-26/03/2011); Girona
(12-13/07/2011); Toulouse (14-15/10/2011); Roma (2012)
