2. CULTURE PROGRAMME
The Culture Programme has been established to enhance the cultural area shared by Europeans,
which is based on a common cultural heritage, through the development of cooperation activities
among cultural
operators from eligible countries (2), with a view to encouraging the emergence of European
citizenship.
The Programme is aimed at three specific objectives:
• promotion of the trans-national mobility of people working in the cultural sector,
• support for the trans-national circulation of cultural and artistic works and products,
• promotion of inter-cultural dialogue.

4. GENERAL AIMS OF THE PROJECT:
• create a systematic approach to information (spread through workshops, seminars and the
publication o a thematic archive online)
• preserve and enhance tangible and intangible assets connected to water (by creating touring
itineraries, Virtual Tours, photograph exhibitions and artistic performances on the theme of water)
• create and stimulate awareness at European and extra-European level of the need to preserve and
enhance these tangible and intangible assets connected to water using

Research by appropriately selecting case studies
Identification of elements which define water in a cultural sense (uses, architecture, meaning, ect.)
Creation of an thematic digital archive
