Game Title
Batman meets bane and joker cut scene http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=VWzQg48lG5A
Provide detailed descriptions from chosen examples that establish…
Clearly state what production technique(s) you think have
been used to create specific soundtrack elements
Setting
It is set in in a dark room where Batman is seen going into a lift and the villain Bane
starts to beat Batman up the joker gets involved with the fight and then blows up a
construction building which makes batman mad.
When Batman is in the lift the creators got this
from a directional microphone which would have
been pointed at a lift in a hotel or any building
with a lift in it.
Footsteps from Bane suggest that they got a
heavy person to walk around this could be
recorded by using a ambient microphone.
Mood
The mood that I get from this cut scene is that Batman is trying to be conscious of
what he is doing as there is no sound giving us a more of a edge to the elevator
scene, also the scene gives off a sense of danger In what the Batman is going to do.
To make this cut scene give off a dangerous mood
to it, the producers made this by smashing up
objects as batman is thrown around the hall way
and when bane hits batman across the face they
could of used a watermelon to create the sound
of being hit across the face.
Game genre
The game is a action game as there is lots of fighting in it and there is an explosion in
the cut scene
When the explosion happens they use a computer
generated program that is for explosions and to
create the fighting they would of used a ambient
microphone to create the sound
Narrative
Batman is in an elevator and then gets to the top floor, he is then pulled through the
roof of the elevator by bane and he gets thrown round the hall way and through a
door and then he sees the joker who blows up a building and makes batman very
angry and full of rage.
When we get to see the joker in the cut scene he
starts to talk to Bane and Batman I believe that
they recorded their voices via a sound booth or a
studio where you can do voice recording
