Setting
Clearly state what production technique(s) you think have
been used to create specific soundtrack elements
The setting is in an abandoned Pharmacy that has been held up by survivors. The
town is a fictional town made up specifically for the video game franchise.
The alarm effect could have been created from
scratch using some sort of audio manipulation
software. Or has been manually recorded by
someone using a professional microphone and
other audio equipment.
The Walking Dead (also known as The Walking Dead: The Game and The Walking
Dead: Season One is an episodic graphic adventure based on Robert Kirkman's The
Walking Dead comic book series. The game was developed by Telltale Games and
was initially slated for release in the last months of 2011, but was held back until
early 2012 to allow further time for development.
Mood
The mood begins with some sort of alarm sound that follows up with a heavy dark
background sound. Perhaps indicating danger nearby, the sound effects slowly start
to get louder as the zombies slowly get closer that builds up the suspense. Then, the
talking of the survivors inside of a building with loud bangs of zombies outside whilst
the alarm is still going off, may also indicate how chaotic it is.
Half way thought the clip, you hear people in the background shouting for help,
whilst more of a quicker pace action music come into affect.
Game genre
Graphic adventure, Point And Click,
The build-up music could of also been created
from scratch by a professional using some sort of
audio manipulation software. And/or been
created by musicians then later on manipulated
by Audio engineers using several different
software systems.
