3. THEME OF THE POEM
All of you know Shah Jahan, the great emperor of India. Th
poet says, the emperor knew that in the stream of li
everything, including life, youth and wealth would float awa
Shah Jahan’s only dream was to preserve his heart’s pa
orever. The harsh thunder of imperial power would fade awa
as the crimson splendor of sunset fades. But Shah Jahan hope
hat at least a single eternally heaved sigh would rema
consoling the sky. The glittering of precious stones too fad
away as the glitter of a rainbow vanishes just after making th
sky bright for a few minutes. However, the white gleaming T
Mahal would remain as a solitary tear on the cheek of tim
orever.
