My target audience for the magazine would be teenage girls between 10-17 years old who attend public high schools. They enjoy watching romantic comedies and fashion/beauty influencers on social media. They shop at affordable clothing stores like Primark and aspire to emulate the styles of celebrities. The magazine would feature topics like music, fashion, beauty, and celebrity gossip that interest this demographic. It would attract advertising from affordable makeup and clothing brands suitable for its young readership.

Target audience
1. WHO WOULD BE THE
AUDIENCE FOR YOUR
MEDIA PRODUCT?
By Victoria Hornagold //
HONEY magazine
2. DEMOGRAPHICS
My target audience are young girls, of teenage and younger around
10-17, who attend state high schools, are unlikely to have a job, or if
they are older enough may work at the weekends in a beauty salon,
who love to spend their free time watching romcoms and chick flicks
(more likely on DVD rather than the cinema as they are cheaper, and
some may not be allowed to travel into cities/towns without an adult).
They also shop in cheap, basic, clothe stores (i.e Primark, Newlook)
that aim to attract girls yet to find their own 'individual' style, and so
buy what they have seen their favourite Instagram stars wearing.
3. PHYSCOGRAPHICS
My audience would likely read Honey magazine with other friends of a
similar age, eating marshmallow, drinking fizzy pop hey have brought
with their pocket money, and gossiping and chatting about their
favourite celebrates and boy crushes. Music wise, they don't tend to
stray far from the charts; listening to the latest pop boy band they
can obsess over and stick posters on their walls, or young female star
they can aspire to, and replicate their appearance with makeup,
clothes etc such as Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande. In my
questionnaire, film, TV, beauty and fashion were all top non-music
related features they wanted to see in my magazines, which reflects
the physcographics of my target audience and their
lifestyle/interests.

5. WHY MY AUDIENCE WOULD BUY MY
MAGAZINE
My target audience would buy my magazine as it contains
information about many of their favourite hobbies and interests; most
notably popular, music, beauty, fashion, and celebrity gossip. My
front cover contains cover lines about 'outfits' and 'hair styles, that
would have ideas and inspiration that they could replicate in their
own lives. As well as 'exclusives' with 'Isabel Gold', and pictures of
'one direction', that give them the insight into celebrities and icons
they love (and likely try to find such pictures and interviews in their
own time on social media).
6. ADVERTISING
The advertising I am most likely to to attract would be those with
them same target audience as mine (young teenage girls) who
produce products that my audience are interested in. For example,
makeup brands would be likely to advertise in my magazine as
teenagers especially have a growing interest in makeup, however, I
would only include those of a drug store, lower price, as they are
what would be most viable and affordable for my audience. Similarly,
fashion if a big interest of theirs but adverts would need to be of
those from a high street store, rather such as Primark, rather then
designer, such as Ralph Lauren, as my target audience are unlikely to
have a high disposable income, if any job at all, therefor the products
advertised would need to reflect what they can afford.
