This essay will highlight both models of teaching PE, their advantages and disadvantages as well as
how we can improve on these. Released in 1982, TGFU is a new approach in teaching physical
education. This theory uses the idea that people will learn better in a game based environment,
rather than using skill training for one specific sport (Bunker and Thorpe, 1982). When compared to
the traditional approach that uses the idea of practising skills in isolation, then applying them into
the game. The traditional model follows a more basic format whereas TGFU requires the teacher to
be well prepared.
The traditional model uses the idea that once a player has learned the necessary skills to play a
certain sport, that student can then go on to play that sport at a competent level (Forrest, Webb &

practicing they can then go on to apply these skills within a game, and how a player performs is

scrimmages all around the bay area it was our first game of 12U San Francisco Little League
american All–Stars. It was a 12:06 game at Strawberry Hill field we arrived at a different field at
8:45 to start practice. we began with stretches and warm–ups which included sprints and throwing

Though time goes on and experiences past, the memories live on and forever they last. Life is a gift
of beauty yet sometimes that gift can be tarnished by the darkness of pain. However, it's the simple
aspects of life that truly define who we are as individuals. A simple game of catch is all it ever took
to make that darkness of life fade. A simple game of catch is all it ever took to bring back the

important aspect of my life. Ever since childhood, I've played the great game that I've come to love
and hate. Though I have risen and fallen in my abilities, I still find a way to play the game. When I
was a child, I started my experiences of baseball by playing catch with my father in the front yard of
my house. We threw and we caught and we smacked our gloves the repeat the process once again.
Playing catch gave us a way to relax, a way to talk, and a way to connect. When we threw to each
other, it gave me a chance to train in my abilities and it gave my father a way to relive his own
childhood. Yet, as time went on and my interests changed, playing catch became a thing in the past.

It goes without saying my favorite game as a child was Telephone. Throughout my youth my family
and I indulged in many games, to say the least telephone was our favorite. The possibility of having
a fun time and laughing was never a problem. The way the game worked anyone from the age of 5

Fallout 3 is an adventure game not like any other game that is out there. The music in the game has a
very satisfying feel to it and the environment is very different from most games out there. The
feeling of this game is like nothing any gamer may have come across before. A new breed of roll

very interesting, it has a calm yet powerful feel to it. It gives the player a feeling of empowerment.

I expected to get the majority of my strengths that appeared, but one that I was shocked to see was
Gratitude. I am always very thankful when I receive a gift but I really do not pay close attention to
when good things happen to me. I generally shake them off and do not focus on them. One of my

Which most times you see all sides of their emotions and personalities at a football game because
the setting around can change in seconds. I took a walk around the stadium and observed the
atmosphere that the fans made which was a very excited vibe that was making it a great atmosphere
for a good night of football on a nice friday night for the first game of the season. There was a lot of
smiling faces and energetic kids. Also I was surprised with all of the communicating before the
game. I thought there was more talking than usual, so that brought me to believe that they were

My Favorite Game
It was around 6am and I got a call from my friend asking me the dumbest question ever, "Are you
up?" I got really angry and annoyed at the same time because I hate getting woken up for some
stupid reason. But then he called me to tell me that we had a soccer game at 7:30 am. I got out my
bed and said, "On my way!" I hung up the phone and ran to the bathroom to take a quick shower, as
soon as I got out the bathroom I got into my room to get all of my stuff ready. I put on my socks, my
really tight shorts that I don't really enjoy wearing and my jersey with the number 17 on it. I got my
stuff and gave my mom a goodbye kiss. I ran as fast as possible and got on the 35th bus to get to the
soccer field in Alianza. It wasn't my favorite place to play at since the turf felt like carpet, but
anywhere I can play soccer I'm happy. I got there at 7:20, 10 minutes before the game which was
enough time to stretch.
My coach was glad to see me as I was to see the team, it was an important game.
It was the quarter finals to go to semis, and we were all excited especially me since it was my
second year playing soccer. We all got into the field and put on our gear. We finished putting on our
