Introduction
Background
Accidents commonly occur in organizational operations,
particularly in many manufacturing companies. There are certain
recognized factors which affect the occurrence of accidents. The
factors most consistently associated with job related injuries
include: environment, mood among workers, employee selection
practice, types of work procedures, role clarity, and job satisfaction

heir jobs. It results from their perception of their
jobs and the degree to which there is a good fit
between them as individuals and the organization
(Ivancevich et al. 2008).
6. Safety Performance
Safety is the condition of a “steady state” of an
organization or place doing what it is supposed to do.
“What it is supposed to do” is defined in terms of public
codes and standards, associated architectural and
engineering designs, corporate vision and mission
statements, and operational plans and personnel
