About Saveetha University - is a fast growing educational institution with a sprawling campus close to
Chennai city. It is one of the premier Universities in India offering courses across disciplines like Medical,
Technical, and Management. Saveetha University, a continuum of Saveetha dental College founded in
1988. It was declared as deemed to be university under the section 3 of the UGC act 1956 by the govern-
ment of India on 18th march 2005. The University is governed by Saveetha Institute of Medical and Tech-
nical Sciences, which was established by Saveetha Medical and Educational Trust. Saveetha University has
been ranked as the third best University in India by Pioneer, India’s oldest newspaper.
About EEE Department - The Department aims to produce engineers with sound knowledge in Electrical
Engineering and With strong background in Electronics and Energy. In 2012, the Department has started
three new M.E / M. Tech. Programs with specializations in Power System, Power Electronics and Drives
and Robotics. The major areas of faculty expertise in the Department include Power System, Power Elec-
tronics, High Voltage Engineering, Energy, Control System and Renewable Energy. The Department has
well established and equipped state of the art laboratories. The Department has Center of Excellence lab in
Renewable Energy and Power Electronics Research lab. The Department has tied up with many research
industries and foreign Universities for research and knowledge sharing.
About Conference - The objective of this conference is to discuss advanced concepts and applications in
Electric Power Engineering and Power System technology among practising Engineers, faculty, research
scholars and graduate students. This conference provides a larger forum for sharing the latest technological
developments in the field of Electric Power industry. This conference also targets on developing technical
standards in the field of Electrical Engineering that guide the development of the educating members of the
industry and the general public. The main theme of the conference is "Towards Sustainability of Power Sys-
tems". Each and every session of the conference has key note address by eminent professional and presen-
tations from Industries, Utilities and R&D organizations. The conference will feature various plenary talks
and panel discussions on Power Systems.
