 Proxemics (Personal Space)
 Haptics (Touch)
 Kinesics (Body Language)
 Kinaesthetic (learning by doing)
 Paralanguage (voice, tone, pitch, etc.)
 Appearance (choice of colours, clothing, hairstyles and other factors) and Attire
(clothes according to occasion)

3. PROXEMICS
 It is the study of how we
communicate with the
space around us.
 It involves how we
arrange personal space
and what we arrange in
it.
 There are four category
of Haptics :
 Intimate space
 Personal space
 Social Space
 Public Space

4. HAPTICS
 It is the study of
communicating by
touch.
 It can be used to
display affection,
familiarity, sympathy
and other emotions.
 Examples of Haptics
at workplace:
 Handshake.
 A pat on your
shoulder.

5. KINESICS
 It is the study of Body
Language.
 The study of the way
in which certain body
movements and
gesture serve as a
form of non verbal
communication.
 Facial expression,
movements, gestures
etc.

6. KINEASTHETIC
 It is the method of
learn based on :
moving, practicing or
touching.
 When listening to
lectures they may
want to take notes for
the sake of moving
their hands.
 E.g., Using color high-
lighters/under-lining
the words while
reading.

7. PARA-LANGUAGE
 Paralinguistic refer to
vocal communication.
 This includes factors
like tone of voice,
intonation,
pronunciation,
articulation, pause etc.

8. APPEARANCE
 Your self image is
reflected through
your Attire &
Grooming.
 Factors like choice of
color, clothing,
hairstyles and other
factors affects
appearances.
