The EU-ETS Resource Center includes tools, how-to videos, sample reporting plans, completed reports and more.
Enhancements are also in development for Universal’s subscription-based EU-ETS Reporting Portal service, which will include more automation to reduce user error.
“Over the past year working with the verifiers, we’ve gained a greater understanding of the type of information that is required and are making some adjustments to our portal that will reduce the back-and-forth when operators submit their reports for verification,” said Hartley. “We are adding even more automation of required fields, making the portal more user-friendly, further reducing the chance for user-error on data entry. This will help ensure users’ reports are more accurate, ultimately simplifying and shortening the verification process.”
Although there has been much talk about the United States government potentially crafting legislation that would eliminate the need for U.S. operators to comply with EU-ETS, Hartley stressed that operators should not be distracted by speculation.
“It’s very important for operators to separate the talk from the facts regarding compliance with EU-ETS,” said Hartley. “Until the U.S. enacts legislation that would supersede EU-ETS, operators must continue to comply with the regulation and submit a verified annual emissions report by the March 31, 2012 deadline.”
For more information and demos of Universal’s EU-ETS solutions, visit Universal® exhibit #C8926 at NBAA2011.
About Universal Weather and Aviation, Inc.
With more than 50 years in business aviation and more than 2.5 million trip legs facilitated, Universal® provides the solutions you need to meet your goals.
