the riddle and try to solve

discussing aboutthe English
monopthongs, pronounce
them with examples

listening the sounds of
monopthongs

song and the lyric fromthe
movie- Frozen and ask the
students to write down the
unknown words fromthesong
Students will be listening
to the song and write the
unknown words into
their papers

4. Teacher will show English
Monopthongs froma line
fromthe song and ask the
students to find English
Monopthongs fromthe
unknown words
Students will see the
monopthongs found from
one line fromthe song and
try to find English
Monopthongs fromthe
unknown words.

5. Teacher will show and
explain Bangla Monopthongs
with examples.
Students will listen the
Bangla monopthongs and
how they are being
pronounced. 1 min
Teacher will show students a
bangla video clip from Gopal
Var and ask students to
watch carefully to catch the
monopthongs sounds.
Students will watch the
cartoon clip carefully and
write down the
monopthongs sound into
their copies.

Teacher will hear from them,
how many vowel phonemes
they have found and discuss
with them in an interacting
situation.
Students will sharetheir
sounds, found fromthe
cartoon, with the teacher
and with other students.

6. Teacher will identify Turkish
monopthongs and
pronounce them separately.
Students will be listening
the Turkish Monopthongs
sounds and try to
pronouncewith the
teacher

Teacher will relate Turkish
monopthongs with English
Monopthongs and ask
students to produce English
words containing Turkish
Monopthongs.
Students will follow the
lecture and try to make
English words containing
Turkish Monopthongs
sounds.

Teacher will end the class by
giving them a homework on
finding an English movie clip
containing Bangla and
Turkish Monopthongs.
Students will interact
with the teacher to know
more about the
homework.

  • 2. Lesson Plan Topic: Monopthongs of English, Bangla and Turkish language Time: 10 minutes Stages Teacher activity Student activity Time 1. Theteacherwillwarmup learners by asking a riddle students will be listening the riddle and try to solve the riddle 40 seconds 2. The teacher will start discussing aboutthe English monopthongs, pronounce them with examples Students will be listening the sounds of monopthongs 1 min 3. teacher will sharea video song and the lyric fromthe movie- Frozen and ask the students to write down the unknown words fromthesong Students will be listening to the song and write the unknown words into their papers 1.5 min 4. Teacher will show English Monopthongs froma line fromthe song and ask the students to find English Monopthongs fromthe unknown words Students will see the monopthongs found from one line fromthe song and try to find English Monopthongs fromthe unknown words. 1 min 5. Teacher will show and explain Bangla Monopthongs with examples. Students will listen the Bangla monopthongs and how they are being pronounced. 1 min
  • 3. Teacher will show students a bangla video clip from Gopal Var and ask students to watch carefully to catch the monopthongs sounds. Students will watch the cartoon clip carefully and write down the monopthongs sound into their copies. 1.5 min Teacher will hear from them, how many vowel phonemes they have found and discuss with them in an interacting situation. Students will sharetheir sounds, found fromthe cartoon, with the teacher and with other students. 1 min 6. Teacher will identify Turkish monopthongs and pronounce them separately. Students will be listening the Turkish Monopthongs sounds and try to pronouncewith the teacher 1.5 min Teacher will relate Turkish monopthongs with English Monopthongs and ask students to produce English words containing Turkish Monopthongs. Students will follow the lecture and try to make English words containing Turkish Monopthongs sounds. 1.5 min Teacher will end the class by giving them a homework on finding an English movie clip containing Bangla and Turkish Monopthongs. Students will interact with the teacher to know more about the homework. 1 min
