Lesson Plan


A. description of   Level: Beginner
the class           Students between the age of 20-26. 20 language Students
                    The class takes place from: 3 to 4 pm On Monday.


                    Language students in this level are able to understand some short readings and
                    comments about some specific topics. In order to improve their vocabulary teacher
                    will bring them new words.

                    Students have been studying:
                    Students have been in contact with the target language and the have been learning
                    vocabulary and some initial grammatical aspects.

B. Recent work

C. Objectives       1. Learning new vocabulary about clothes
                    2. Learning dressing styles and identify their own one.
                    3.Learning grammatical content about verbs that are related to appearance.
                    4.Enhancement of the reading comprehension.
                    5.Students discuss and support their ideas.

D. Contents         Objective 1 (Estimated time: 15 minutes)
                    (a) Context:                     Being able to recognize words relating to clothes.

                                                       Student will get new vocabulary given by the
                                                       teacher, after that some piece of papers with
                                                       disorganized letters will be given to the students
                                                       and they will have to organize them in order to get
                    (b) Activity/Class organization:   the right word.

                    (c) Aids:                          Sheets of paper.

                    (d) Language:                      Clothes.



                                                       Some students will not be able to identify which
                    (e) Possible problems and          word they are working on, hence teacher ought to
                    solutions                          assist them.
Objective 2 (Estimated time: 25 minutes)
(a) Context:                     Being capable of identifying some styles of dressing

                                    Students will watch some pictures with people
                                    dressing different types of clothes which defines
                                    their style. Afterward they will try to recognize
                                    which dressing style they have and which one
(b) Activity/Class organization:    would like to have and which one would never get.

(c) Aids:                           Slides

                                    Vocabulary learnt in the first activity and new
(d) Language:                       vocabulary about ways of dressing.
                                    Students might present some confusion about how
                                    to identify the dressing styles and how to express
                                    their language, but as they are working in groups
(e) Possible problems and           the cooperative learning could be useful, however if
solutions                           it does not work, teacher will help them.




 Objective 3 (Estimated time: 20 minutes)

 (a) Context:                        By reading students will know some opinions
                                     from different people about ways of dressing.


 (b) Activity/Class organization:    In groups students will work on some readings,
                                     each group will have a different reading. After
                                     that one member of each group will go to
                                     another group and will share the information
                                     that she or he has read in her or his initial group.
                                     Once that the whole class has gotten the
                                     complete information they will discuss to choose
                                     which style is better.


 (c) Aids:                           Readings

 (d) Language:                       Vocabulary learnt in the first an second activity.



 (e) Possible problems and           Students could get some troubles finding the
     solutions:                      vocabulary to express their ideas and to support
                                     them.

  • 1. Lesson Plan A. description of Level: Beginner the class Students between the age of 20-26. 20 language Students The class takes place from: 3 to 4 pm On Monday. Language students in this level are able to understand some short readings and comments about some specific topics. In order to improve their vocabulary teacher will bring them new words. Students have been studying: Students have been in contact with the target language and the have been learning vocabulary and some initial grammatical aspects. B. Recent work C. Objectives 1. Learning new vocabulary about clothes 2. Learning dressing styles and identify their own one. 3.Learning grammatical content about verbs that are related to appearance. 4.Enhancement of the reading comprehension. 5.Students discuss and support their ideas. D. Contents Objective 1 (Estimated time: 15 minutes) (a) Context: Being able to recognize words relating to clothes. Student will get new vocabulary given by the teacher, after that some piece of papers with disorganized letters will be given to the students and they will have to organize them in order to get (b) Activity/Class organization: the right word. (c) Aids: Sheets of paper. (d) Language: Clothes. Some students will not be able to identify which (e) Possible problems and word they are working on, hence teacher ought to solutions assist them.

Objective 2 (Estimated time: 25 minutes) (a) Context: Being capable of identifying some styles of dressing Students will watch some pictures with people dressing different types of clothes which defines their style. Afterward they will try to recognize which dressing style they have and which one (b) Activity/Class organization: would like to have and which one would never get. (c) Aids: Slides Vocabulary learnt in the first activity and new (d) Language: vocabulary about ways of dressing. Students might present some confusion about how to identify the dressing styles and how to express their language, but as they are working in groups (e) Possible problems and the cooperative learning could be useful, however if solutions it does not work, teacher will help them. Objective 3 (Estimated time: 20 minutes) (a) Context: By reading students will know some opinions from different people about ways of dressing. (b) Activity/Class organization: In groups students will work on some readings, each group will have a different reading. After that one member of each group will go to another group and will share the information that she or he has read in her or his initial group. Once that the whole class has gotten the complete information they will discuss to choose which style is better. (c) Aids: Readings (d) Language: Vocabulary learnt in the first an second activity.
