It is 2017 and it is safe to say that technology has integrated into daily routines. I for one will admit it, when I wake up the first thing I do is reach for
my smartphone. I immediately check on people; I barely even talk to. Sad to admit but it might be to stay relevant to those weak ties for potential social
gain. Nevertheless, that has been my daily routine for the last 6 years. Thinking back even further I remember my first interaction with technology and
being formally introduced to a desktop computer. My uncle Felix introduced me to technology when I was 6 years old and as a child, I was fascinated
by computer gaming. Computers opened my eyes to a whole new world and it continued to do so as I grew up. My uncle Felix at the time was in school
studying to become a computer programmer. I remember uncle Felix building system units and once they were ready he would buy my games to play
on his desktop. That was my favorite part of my day, coming home and playing a new game. He also introduced me to my first Game Boy Advance
which was an upgrade from the original Game Boy Color. My parents couldn't afford to get me technology, luckily I still had the opportunity to have
what I did. He spoiled me with technology, he was the one person in my life that has always trusted and believed the technology was a utopian

The piece Advance Australia ... within reason, was conveyed on the 5th of January by Amy Mackintosh, at the annual "University of Students for Youth
Political Activism' meeting held at The University of Melbourne. Mackintosh steadily argues the reasons why Australia should not have become a
republic, and how the country should stay as a monarchy. The tone of the speech is very colloquial and even sarcastic, with the middle part being more
analytical and serious. The speaker gives the impression that the argument for Australia to stay as a Monarchy is unbiased and logical.
The beginning of Amy's speech introduces her contention that Australia staying as a Monarchy is more practical than becoming a Republic. The title is
a pun in itself, playing on the widely known Australian anthem and the double meaning "within reason", meaning that there are limitations to how
much Australia should actually "advance", also foreshadowing the reasoning behind Mackintosh's argument. In the first paragraph of the speech, the
speaker imposes questions to the audience, allowing them to think about the issue regarding politics. During the second paragraph, the author highlights
the opposing point of view and gives few points supporting the argument, to let Australia become a Republic although not without the heavily sarcastic
question: "Which is weird, right?". Then Mackintosh goes against it by saying "Well, no, actually, it wouldn't be.". She brings the statement backwards,
making spectators wonder how the speaker will turn the tables on the reasons why Australia should become a Republic.
With the words, "I am no Monarchist", Amy Mackintosh sets herself in a neutral position, with no personal bias, provoking belief from listeners. This is

Heart. Safe Heart is developing medical devices for consumer use. These devices are able to measure values like blood oxygen saturation, heart rate,
and perfusion index. Being able to collect these massive amounts of data, places these devices in the realm of big data. Although the topic of big data
imposes its own issues, the medical nature of the data creates an additional set of important issues. Safe Heart is not the first organization to develop

Every time we watch television we always see something advertised that promises to give you a perfect pedicure, remove any kind of stain you throw at
it, give you muscle strength and tone muscles so you look like the Incredible Hulk, or put anything together that comes apart or breaks. But do they
really work. Our local Channel 6 News (www.wate.com) put some of these "As Seen On T.V." items to the test and here is what they found out. One
thing they tested was the Ped Egg. This is a small egg shaped gadget that is supposed to smooth and remove calluses from feet. Well Channel 6 News
tested it with a professional in the Knoxville area. Kate used the Ped Egg on one of her regular customers, Gina, and found that it is not what it says.
The first thing they found was that it is no where near as gentle as advertised. It actually left "dips" in the bottom of Gina 's feet. Kate actually
compared the Ped Egg to a "razor" and stated that "I think it is not safe to use at home." I have to agree. After trying it myself, I really do not like it at
all. It felt like I was scraping my foot with a knife. Channel 6 News also tested out the Aqua Globes which are glass that is hand blown and stained and
supposed to keep plants watered for up to two weeks. 6 News took the Aqua Globes to a University of Tennessee associate professor in Biosystems

Medicine has been used since ancient times, but it has greatly developed through the centuries. Today, people have doctors, nurses, surgeons, therapists,
and many other individuals in the health field. Society's definition of a healthy lifestyle, and the way people live, has greatly changed, and it has given
most people a new perspective on society 's health. Before medications and doctors, people often died, or had no way to recover from illnesses and
disease, because there were no cures. Advances in medicine are made every day. These advances could be a new allergy medication, a new vaccine to
prevent a deadly disease, or a new way of performing surgeries, but all of these advances have one thing in common: they can save lives and make a

The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse, the first game in the series, was released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System during 1992 and

Imagine having to make the decision to take a loved one off a ventilator or removing a tube feeding. What would they want? Would they want to live in
a nursing home, connected to "tubes," possibly without a means to communicate or care for themselves? How would they define "Quality of Life"?
Have you ever discussed with them what their wishes are if they are unable to speak for themselves? Have they discussed it with family or friends? Did
they write their wished down anywhere? Would it make the decision easier if you knew you're loved one's wishes? Can you feel the stress, anxiety and
dread overcoming you? Unfortunately this scenario occurs every day. Pharmacological and medical technology advances have prolonged life through
the development of life sustaining therapies such as antibiotics, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), mechanical ventilation, feeding tubes and
hemodialysis (HD). While prolonging life, it has also raised the question of quality of life and thus the need for end of life planning by individuals.
Unfortunately, laws have been unable to keep pace with medical advances. There have been several well publicized cases involving end of life care for
persons in a persistent vegetative state and the request for withdrawal of life sustaining therapies (e.g. Karen Quinlan, Nancy Cruzan) that have brought
this topic to the fore front of public attention and resulted in legal precedence concerning an individual's wishes for end of life
