2. THE FOUR BASIC FUNCTION OF COMPUTER
• The four basic function of computer is – input function , Data processing and Data
storage , Output function .

3. DIFFERENT HARDWARE THAT HELP TO DO THE BASIC
FUNCTIONS OF COMPUTER
• Input function :- Keyboard, Mouse, Microphone, Scanner, Camera, Sensor etc.
• Data Processing:- RAM, ROM of Motherboard in CPU.
• Data Storage:- HDD, SSD, Memory cards, Pen drives, Optical disks etc.
• Output function:- Monitor, Printer, Speaker, Headphone, Screen projector, Plotter etc.

4. DATA AND BINARY
• Computers works only with binary numbers 0 and 1.
• Our input data and output data such as our text , decimal numbers, pictures and sounds all
are converted into binary numbers inside the computer by our CPU.
• For Decimal numbers which is 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 converted into binary with 1 and 0.

• For text A to Z has given numbers such as A =1, B=2, C=3 then convert them into 1 and 0.
• For images and videos , graphics they have number of picocells those picocells have three
colours Red, Green, Blue and those are also denoted as numbers such as R=253,G=78,B=141
then convert them into 1 and 0.

5. CIRCUITS AND LOGIC GATES
• Circuits: Tiny electrical component that signal on and off or 1 and 0 , and send the information
or signals with input and output form.
• Logic gates: Logic gates are the basic building blocks of any digital system here the circuits
there more than one logic gates help to pass the electronic signals that helps to take proper
decisions of CPU.

• The CPU is the brain of a computer that controlling all the circuitry needs to process input, store
data, and output results.
• CPU constantly following the instructions of computer programs that tell it which data to process
and how to process it.
• Actually, CPU is a electronic circuitry that executes instructions comprising a computer program.
• CPU performs basic arithmetic, logic, controlling, and input/output operations specified by the
instructions in the program.

8. HARDWARE & SOFTWARE
• Hardware :- Hardware is the physical elements of a computer . It has four main categories : input
devices, output devices, secondary storage devices and internal components.
• Software:- Software is a collection of instructions that tells the computer how to perform a task. It
has main two components , those are system software and application software.

9. OPERATING SYSTEM
• Operating system:- It is system software that manages computer hardware, software resources and
provides common services for computer programs.
