The document discusses different YouTube channels and television shows that inspired a new food review series focusing on Caribbean cuisine. It draws inspiration from The Pengest Munch channel which humorously critiques chicken shops in London. It also takes elements from the TV show Man vs Food, renaming a similar segment in their show to "Mandem vs Food" to engage audiences while reviewing various foods and restaurants as well as introducing different cultural cuisines. The new series aims to entertain and educate a target audience of teens and young adults on Caribbean restaurants and dishes.

ChickenConnoisseur
Elijah Quashie started a YouTube channel called The
Pengest Munch. The videos involve Quashie visiting,
critiquing and rating chicken shops around London.
We drew some inspiration from this channel as we
want to tackle foods and restaurants in the same
way. As we narrowed it down to Caribbean food we
want to use the same element of humour and style in
our videos and Elijah Quashie does this very well. In
order to keep the target audience happy, you have to
make it stand out from the rest. With our target
audience being young teenagers to young adults between the ages of 13 – 24 we want to
make it as fun as possible but also reviewing the food to the best we can and giving them
background information about these types of restaurants and also introducing dishes to
another culture that might not know about these types of food.
Man VS Food
We also drew some inspiration from this television
series called man vs food. We borrowed some elements
from television series, we named our show mandem vs
food. Reason for this show being one of our inspirations
is because the show is good at engaging the audience
with well thought out segments in the show and that’s
what we are trying to incorporate in our show, keeping
the audience engaged, entertained but also giving
knowledge on different foods, restaurants etc.
