1. Treatment
We will havetwo adverts that will both be 30 seconds long as the longer the
adverts are the more they will costas weonly have £2000 to useto create
both adverts so they both have to be relatively shortso that they can fit inside
of our budget.
They will be running for 30 seconds each as any longer and it would probably
cost too much.
Scenes will include information about the schools previous exam results and
will have Vox pox of students giving their own opinions about the schooland
sixth form. And wewill probably be making our own soundtrack for both of the
adverts.
The target audience for the sixth form advert will be solely aimed at year 11
students and partly parents, more so the students as they have a bigger say in
wherethey go to college than they do choosing wherethey want to go to
school. And the advert for the schoolwill be aimed at year 6 students but
solely at parents as at the end of the day are the ones who make that decision
as the schoolhas to be easily accessible for them as they will have to sortout
things like travel to and fromschool.
The product will appeal to our target audience as it will be informativeand
providethem with all the facts that they need to know aboutthe schooland
why they should go there. Also it will include things like previous years grades,
clubs available for the students and all the positives of going to the sixth form
and school. And the spending power of the students will be very limited as it is
unlikely that they will have jobs, whereas theparents will have quite a bit of
money to spend on things like transportand meals for their children.
Each advertwill cost£1000 as wehave a £2000 budgetto spend so spreading
the amountevenly would be a good idea so that both of the adverts can be of
the samestandard.
The recording location of the radio advertis likely to be at school either in
music or in the Ringwood schoolradio studio as it would cost too much money
to book a session at a studio to record the advert and therefore it would be
easier and cheaper to justrecord it at school. If we could then we can useall
£2000 on the making of the adverts.
However though if we have to book a studio it will be at Bournemouth
Absolute Music Recording Studios as it is local and cheaper than other studios.
2. Treatment
Itwill costus £40 an hour so we will have to cut the budget depending on
other stuff we spend money on. That would leave us a budget of £960 for each
advertif we wereto rent the studio. We would be able to cut the costby using
public transportation which would cost approximately £7.50 per person for a
return ticket so as there is 4 of us we would have to spare £30 for it leaving us
with £930 for the advert.
