Persuasive Essay On Paying For College
Paying for College When entering high school many students already know what they want to do
when they "grow up"; however, many students do not know how they will pay for the college
education to get them there. Some students will strive for the best grades possible to earn
scholarship money to have college funded for them, others will mess around, and end up wishing
they had tried harder, and having to pay for college themselves. Those students will have to have a
job during college to be able to afford books, tuition, and any other fun things they might wish to do
while they are away from home at college. College students working to pay for college tuition or
pay off college debt have less entitlement, more responsibility, and take greater pride in their
education; however, college students who have their college fully funded may feel more entitled
around the college campus, have less focus towards studies, and spend more time at parties, finally
they will never understand how much their education was truly worth. While each student may
receive the same education, the values and attitudes each student has can be even more valuable
than the college education itself. Being a young college student takes a lot of dedication and
responsibility; however, being a college student and working a job to pay for college at the same
time takes even more responsibility and dedication. Students must take accountability for
themselves, being able to turn in assignments, study for

Why invest in bonds when there are so many other options?...
Why invest in bonds when there are so many other options?
Since 1999, the economy has been in a downward trend. The majority of people who had invested in
the stock market now known as the great stock bubble or fraud bubble were given a false sense of
security and they felt the market would just keep climbing. Were there signs that investors could
have looked for to predict the economic downturn? If investors had looked for the signs, maybe they
could have changed their direction of investment. This paper will investigate the characteristics of
bonds and see if the bond market has proven to be a safe haven for those who were wise enough to
invest in it. When the economy is in a downward trend why should more people invest in bonds? ...

Included in consumer spending are consumer confidence, expectation index, and advance retail sales
and report. Consumer confidence is a poll of 5,000 people asking how they feel about current and
future business conditions for the job market and their own income prospect for six months. A
downward trend means less consumer spending. The expectation index which "has to dip below 80
and stay there for two months or so before we consider it a warning of recession," gives a good
reading of what lies ahead (Updegrave, p. 3). The advance retail sales report measures consumer
spending by sampling retailers and the results determine the direction of the economy. Again, higher
consumer spending means a rise in the economy, while lower consumer spending means a decline in
the economy. Industrial production includes purchasing managers' index, industrial production
index, and capacity utilization index. The purchasing managers' index surveys manufacturing
executives to compute an index of industrial activity. When the index level falls below 42.7, the
economy is falling (Updegrave, p. 4) The Industrial production index measures how much industries
are producing and the capacity utilization index measures the efficiency of production capacity. This
is used as an inflation indicator. If the index is up to 85, inflation is increasing because prices will
have to increase

Currently, the market environment of the athletic apparel industry has several key players, including
brands such as Nike, Adidas, Under Armor, Dicks Sporting Goods, and others. Foot Locker carries
many of these brands within is chain of stores. As a third–party retailer that carries many brand's
products, competition comes from other outside retailers as well as the brands that they carry, such
as Nike, Under Armor, etc., who focus on their direct to consumer sales, (Diaz CNBC). "Many
customers prefer to bypass third–party stores and rely on the brands' own retail stores," (Kenra
Investors 2017). By Foot Locker's suppliers also being member of the market and competing against
the firm, this has given the suppliers more bargaining power. This is seen as an issue in Porter's Five
Forces model, due to the suppliers having strong control and competitive forces with Foot Locker
and the industry. With online retailers jeopardizing brick and mortar locations, "Investors, who
knocked down Foot Locker shares more than 25%, seem to be more concerned with a June deal

Case Study Of Alphabet Inc.
Alphabet Inc. is an American multinational company created in 2015. It is the parent company of
Google and several other companies that are owned by Google (Inc, 2015). The company is based in
California and is headed by Google's co–founders, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, with Larry Page
serving as the CEO and Sergey Brin as the president (Inc, 2015).The process of reorganising Google

change came with the announcement that Sundar Pichai would be the new CEO of Google (Inc,

There are seven individual companies underneath Alphabet, each with its own CEO and leadership.

Liberal News Media Analysis
News sources are networks where many people are informed about important news event. Being
liberal bias about news networks is to be open to new opinions about an event and sometimes can be
given false information or misinterpretation about it. Having a conservative view about the news is
still having to hold to certain beliefs and values and being cautious about what changes are
happening. Many people get news from the six powers house news networks that are either liberal
or conservative. CBS, ABC, and NBC were the only news networks, since 1948, where people were
able to get the recent news happening and are now considered the mainstream news channels which
also have a liberal view about the news. CNN, MSNBC, and CNBC are the news networks that run

These cable news started in the 1980s because the mainstream news did not get all the information
out and were not telling the whole truth. Later in 1996, FOX News started and became really
popular because of being both liberal and conservative and were considered the truth seekers. FOX
News decided to become a news network because since all the other six news networks were not
telling the whole truth, Fox decided to get the information and tell the truth without lying and
getting everything out. Before cable news, the mainstream news networks were the only channels
where many people get the news. All three news networks talk about the same event happening
currently, but not all will have the same details and have different information and sometimes that
information is not truth or correct because these news sources want to be the first ones to get the
news on air for people to view and at times leave out the main focus of the occurrence. ABC, CBS,

Creating a website is a task which can be accomplished by many; requiring an internet connection
and minimal skills. As a result, there is an abundance of webpages for ecommerce, social
networking, news, corporations, and more. Howard Rheingold's strategies on Digital Literacy
provide many effective tips for better navigating the web. For this assignment, I conducted research

there was an outpour in journal and news articles and even biblical references. Many websites

The Honest, Non-Bias Analysis
The Honest, Non–Biased, Un–Opinionated News Today's media coverage does not truly report
accurately on what has happened, but rather focus on their point of views and how they perceived
the events. They mix in their flavor of the news and try to sway in their audience to switch or
reaffirm their point of view. News reporting today has become "What I see is what you should see."
New sources today are filled with preconceived opinions relying on the theoretical what–ifs. Some,
however, force their point of views on the readers, but there are the ones that reveal both sides

Media Influence On Marijuana
Whether by exit/entrance, in–person, internet, or telephone, over time, political polls have been used
by mass media outlets to strategically create interest groups and objectively measure public opinion.
Political scientist, V.O. Key, Jr., described public opinion as "those opinions held by private persons
which government finds it prudent to head." The media relies on polls the right amount because it's
only a general sample and doesn't include every potential factor such as question ambiguity, non–
response, and non–attitudes. In addition, as discussed in lecture, many citizens are unconnected,
uninformed, or inconsistent in their ideologies. Given these potential errors, the media's use of polls
has a mixed effect. On one hand, polls are able to keep audiences updated in public opinion and

In discussion, we attributed its popularity to medicinal marijuana, cultural influences (music and

of its demographical breakdown. Men were more likely to support marijuana legalization over
women; democrats were more supportive than republicans, and younger people and medicinal
marijuana users were highly in support of legalization. CBS News uses this poll in order to explain
how progressive Americans have felt toward marijuana over the years. As mentioned in the
introduction, many Americans were uninformed on the effects of marijuana from the 1970s up to the
2000s. In addition to that notion, since 1997, the percentage of Americans who had not tried
marijuana decreased from 65% to 56%, meaning many Americans based their opinion off
environmental influences. I feel this article provided ample evidence that conveys to its audience
that the perception on marijuana has completely

Disadvantages Of Hacking
Introduction
Hacking in the world of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is defined as the
process of getting unauthorized access to the technical details of a computer such as, programs,
applications or the entire computer system. Hacking is performed to improve the system capabilities
or to manipulate its normal functions. People who are engaged in this practice are known as
"Hackers" (777, 777, 888, 888).
It is more likely that hacking is done for a harmful purpose which is not the case. So, why do people
hack? Hacking has two sides, it could be beneficial or harmful. Usually, hackers break a computer
system to get a valuable data (666, 666). For example, hackers could access a company system to
obtain its sensitive information and threat to spoil or delete them leaving the company with one
solution to return their data back which is paying for the hackers (777, 777). Furthermore, ... Show

Thus, all what they want is to hack for fun (777, 777). In addition, companies might employ people
who have an interest in hacking to try and hack their system. Thus, this helps companies to find
weaknesses in their system, which then gives them the opportunity to improve it and minimize the
change of getting hacked. According to (777, 777), hacking is mostly carried out by employees due
to the fact that they have information about passwords and the users IDs which makes hacking
easier for them.
This report was written to discuss and analyze a case study about hacking the account of the
Facebook inventor, which is one of the most famous hacking incidents. The case study will
introduce how did the incident happened and who has done it. Furthermore, it will describe the
effects raised by the hacking incident and how did the company deal with it. Then the report will
provide some recommendations that Facebook could have done differently, which would have

Different Governments And Investors Reaction
5. Governments and Investors Reaction
5.1 New "Circuit Breaker" rule
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has approved a new, six–month "circuit breaker"
rule, which is also known as limit up/ limit down. It stated that the exchanges would pause if the
trading in a stock declines more than 10 percent in any five–minute interval. This reaction has
changed previous circuit breaker rule. According to Bob Pisani, the writer of " Flash Crash 5 years
later: What have we learned?" published on CNBC on May 5, 2015, claimed "five years ago, each
exchange had its own rule that governed when individual stocks would be halted for sudden
volatility." But this rule is confusing and now it has been eliminated. The new consistent system–
wide circuit breakers rule is for all individual stocks, and other revised market–wide circuit breakers
that will kick in when the S&P 500 drops 7 percent or more during the trading day.
5.2 Erroneous trade breaking rules
The SEC has previously approved the Clearly Erroneous Pilot program, which identified new rule
following the flash crash outlining when an erroneous trade would be broken, said Deborah L.
Jacobs, the writer of " Why we could easily have another flash crash." This erroneous trade rules
clarified the time and the price of completed trades, which will be reversed or " broken" by the
exchanges and FINRA. This purpose of the rule is to make a certainty to reduce the market panic
likelihood and capital flight if computer glitches.

that some of these loans are bad loans but they didn't cared because they transferred all these loans

Baby Boomer 's Goals And Goals
After World War II, between the years of 1946 and 1964, there was a surge of birth. After that period
and the influx of children being brought into the world, the world was severely affected by these

What actions did they take to make sure they had a good life for themselves and their families? Were
their decisions based in politics? Some would say that these baby boomer's goals and actions

(That may less of a problem, according to the investor Wilbur L. Ross, who told CNBC on Tuesday
that the company could sell eurodollar bonds, which may avoid incurring a steep tax charge.)
Dell also had almost $5 billion in long–term debt as of Nov. 2. That means the newly private
company would be highly indebted, though analysts at the ISI Group and Mizuho point out that the
company has respectable cash flow, generating about $3.7 billion in cash from operations during
that time.
The bigger question for the company is whether going private would solve any of the issues it has
faced for years. Its traditional business of making and selling personal computers has become less
and less profitable, and Dell has already been trying to move into the more lucrative and stable
market of providing hardware and software services for corporations. That's not something that
requires Dell to be private, however.
And there's also the question of whether a newly private Dell, forced to spend much of its revenue
on paying down its debt, would have money to invest in its business or pay for new acquisitions.
(Last year alone, the company struck 10 deals, including the $2.4 billion purchase of Quest
Software.)

Analyzing Jon Stewart's 'Daily Show'
4. After watching the Daily Show interview with Jim Cramer, I believe that Jon Stewart's questions
were fair as he was trying to get Cramer to confess CNBC's faults during the financial crisis and his
contributions to them. One instance of this was Stewart calling out CNBC for creating an unrealistic
image of the market by covering up the embezzlement scandals and failing to expose the actions of
those behind it, despite their frequent interview appearances. I agree with Stewart in this argument
as CNBC put themselves in a tight corner by merely addressing the situation and stating the obvious
instead of taking action in order to preserve their reputation as a "financial expert". Cramer's
responses illustrate this point as he admits that while

Catch 22: An Analysis Of The Word Jumbled
Have you seen that the word jumbled is utilized a great deal today? It intends to render hazy, darken,
or even muddled. Recently, I viewed a business program on CNBC, and heard one of the show's
subject master visitors utilize the word to clarify his perspective. "The organization has jumbled its
future development potential." This was an extravagant jeans approach to say, "I don't recognize
what that organization is doing, and it's not my blame! They let me know nothing." Beside the way
that there are such a variety of individuals who don't recognize what muddle implies, the word
makes a conundrum. Treat you so harshly as that word? A Catch 22 is sound thinking that befuddles
individuals. In this occasion, by not realizing that muddle implies indistinct, individuals who hear
the word are hazy about the significance of the sentence in which that word is utilized. Other than

The Overall Problem At Apple Inc.
The overall problem at Apple Inc. is a stagnant iPhone growth problem due to decreased innovation
and marketing efforts. Apple has hit a static point in its growth and continues to lose market share to
its global competitors while trying to recover and invent the next big product (Seeking Alpha, 2017).
Apple's innovation and marketing efforts have been minimal and thus reflect in the company's
declining global position, pricing and current growth statistics.
Apple Inc. has been stagnant over the past two years despite successful profits, a fast–growing

Apple lost valuable market share to Chinese manufacturers Huawei and Oppo, which saw promising
increases in their shares year over year (9to5Mac, 2017). Currently, the iPhone market share is
decreasing in China, the world 's second–largest economy after the U.S., which can be attributed to
new manufacturers and iPhone users delaying upgrades (9to5Mac, 2017). While all products go
through a product life cycle, Apple has already been through this cycle with at least two products
(Forbes, 2016). Currently, Apple has no backup to replace its vanguard iPhone product. Adding to
injury, the competing Huawei P9 phone compares well against the iPhone 7 and cost 30 percent

Essay On College Tuition Cost
In today's society, the rising college tuition costs is becoming a problem because people can't keep
up with the funding of the college costs and kids are not getting the right education they deserve and
need in life.
Since the 1987–1988 school year "students at public four–year institutions paid an average $3,190 in
tuition, with prices adjusted to reflect 2017 dollars. Thirty years later, that average has risen to
$9,970 for the 2017–2018 school year(Martin)." Parents all over the world will make their kid's
focus on a sport in hopes that they will get a scholarship and not have to pay the high fees for
college. They don't get to have the freedom to do the things that wealthy children can, for example
wealthy kids have no financial problems going in to college while poor kids will struggle and have
to get students loans. As a parent, you just hope that your kid will be good enough to get a
scholarship so that you won't have to pay for the college tuition. Martin also states, "More likely, the
hypothetical child would pay the tuition bill themselves, as the rising cost of higher education has
led Americans to struggle with a collective $1.4 trillion in student loan debt(MAKE IT)." ... Show

Bank of America:
A Look at America's #2 Bank¬¬¬¬¬¬¬

Finance for Managers

February 24, 2017
Since one of the largest positions in my investment portfolio is Bank of America, traded on the
NASDAQ under the symbol (BAC), I decided to take and in–depth look at this company and
hopefully see for myself why this stock and other financials have performed so well over the past

It went on to mention that BAC had been struggling with regulatory changes from the previous
administration, but that talk of deregulation by the new Trump administration could help improve
BAC's position moving forward. (The Wall Street Journal, 2017, n.d.).
Now, according to the latest data from Investopedia, BAC's Price to earnings ratio, (P/E) is 17.56,
which is a high, and I like to keep P/E ratios for companies that I invest in at lower than 14, but
since a lot of this growth has occurred since my initial investment, I am ok with its high P/E ratio,
although BAC may be a stock that needs to be considered for profit taking by any investor who
bought this stock prior to last year. Another consideration for a potential BAC investor is the fact
that BAC pays a dividend. Before an investor should consider buying or selling a stock, it should
always contemplate how dividends should be incorporated in that decision. BAC current pays a
1.44% annual dividend. (Investopedia, 2016, n.d.). While 1.44% may not seem like a lot, it is
attractive to me as an investor because that extra percentage can cover a large portion of the fees
involved with trading stocks. I think people tend to overlook these important details when
considering an investment.
In general BAC and financials have had a really good run and many may seem expensive compared

Video Game Industry Women
In particular the video game industry has been commanded by a mostly male eccentric community,
but in the past two decades, women have been encroaching on the alleged "private" life of the male
video gamer's community and they are petrified they are going to lose a unique time to get away
from their lives and women in general. "It's a $27.5 billion industry, but the modern video game
industry had a humble beginning."(CNBC, 1). The video game industry was thought up by an
engineer named Ralph Baer in 1966. Moving forward over the years video gaming was established
from the ground up by male computer scientist and engineers. The first video game released
publicly was set loose upon the public at Andy Capp's Tavern in Sunnyvale, California. The game

for those who did make it their contributions and their prominences had a lasting impact in the
world of video games (Cohen, 1). The male gaming community is suffering from a appeal to
popular opinion, all because other people are saying women should not be involved in the gaming

for working with Activision but before she ever was involved with them she became the first female

Steve Jobs: The Apple of iGeneration's Eyes
As millions around the world swipe through their iPhones today, not much thought is given to the
visionary man who played a pivotal role in the development of this innovative device. Steve Jobs,
the man behind the development of iPhone and multiple other devices such as the iPods, iPads etc.,
was the backbone of Apple Inc. (CNBC Titans: Steve Jobs, 2011). Under his guidance and
supervision, Apple Inc. has achieved new heights by re–defining the manner in which we, as
consumers of electronics, interact with technology (Kane & Fowler, 2011). Apple Inc. not only
introduced new and innovative devices into the market but also fulfilled Jobs vision of taking

To produce different plants, genetic cross–breeding is performed, as well as using different
techniques for growing the plant. The main psychoactive ingredient in marijuana, which is also the
most responsible for its intoxicating effects, is known as delta–9–tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC.
THC is one of the cannabinoids found in marijuana, and there are over sixty of them. It is the
cannabinoid that produces the high, and although there are other cannabinoids present, the effect is
different with the absence of THC. They interact with THC to affect its impact in a variety of ways:
enhancing or attenuating it, speeding up or slowing down its onset, and influencing how long the

compound in marijuana that is increasing the attention of both scientists and medical marijuana
providers known as cannabidiol, or CBD. CBD is not an intoxicating product, and does not produce
a high when alone, but some researchers claim it may calm the anxiety produced by THC. Some
research suggests that marijuana with a better balance between CBD and THC is less risky than the

Essay On College Is Not Worth A Degree
College, Is it worth it?
To most people college is their goal at succeeding in life. Whether you get a scholarship or pay
yourself, college is expensive. To some it is a waste of time and money due to the fact that,
graduates are not getting their money's worth in their degree, they are burdened by student loans,
and their degree does not guarantee them a job. With that and a growing tuition rate, most people
can't afford a higher education. College is simply not worth the cost anymore.
With the rise in minimum wage nationwide, things cost a lot more. That doesn't mean you have
$42,500 to pay for college yearly,(CNBC 2015). That's a lot of money if you're not working. Even
state colleges are charging $19,000(CNBC 2015). And considering you're going to need a loan,
That's going to add to our nationwide student loan debt of 1.2Trillion,(CNBC 2015). But due to the
fact that you could earn enough money to pay back all that debt, it is still appealing to most people.

Persuasive Essay On Paying For College

  • 1. Persuasive Essay On Paying For College Paying for College When entering high school many students already know what they want to do when they "grow up"; however, many students do not know how they will pay for the college education to get them there. Some students will strive for the best grades possible to earn scholarship money to have college funded for them, others will mess around, and end up wishing they had tried harder, and having to pay for college themselves. Those students will have to have a job during college to be able to afford books, tuition, and any other fun things they might wish to do while they are away from home at college. College students working to pay for college tuition or pay off college debt have less entitlement, more responsibility, and take greater pride in their education; however, college students who have their college fully funded may feel more entitled around the college campus, have less focus towards studies, and spend more time at parties, finally they will never understand how much their education was truly worth. While each student may receive the same education, the values and attitudes each student has can be even more valuable than the college education itself. Being a young college student takes a lot of dedication and responsibility; however, being a college student and working a job to pay for college at the same time takes even more responsibility and dedication. Students must take accountability for themselves, being able to turn in assignments, study for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 3. Why invest in bonds when there are so many other options?... Why invest in bonds when there are so many other options? Since 1999, the economy has been in a downward trend. The majority of people who had invested in the stock market now known as the great stock bubble or fraud bubble were given a false sense of security and they felt the market would just keep climbing. Were there signs that investors could have looked for to predict the economic downturn? If investors had looked for the signs, maybe they could have changed their direction of investment. This paper will investigate the characteristics of bonds and see if the bond market has proven to be a safe haven for those who were wise enough to invest in it. When the economy is in a downward trend why should more people invest in bonds? ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Included in consumer spending are consumer confidence, expectation index, and advance retail sales and report. Consumer confidence is a poll of 5,000 people asking how they feel about current and future business conditions for the job market and their own income prospect for six months. A downward trend means less consumer spending. The expectation index which "has to dip below 80 and stay there for two months or so before we consider it a warning of recession," gives a good reading of what lies ahead (Updegrave, p. 3). The advance retail sales report measures consumer spending by sampling retailers and the results determine the direction of the economy. Again, higher consumer spending means a rise in the economy, while lower consumer spending means a decline in the economy. Industrial production includes purchasing managers' index, industrial production index, and capacity utilization index. The purchasing managers' index surveys manufacturing executives to compute an index of industrial activity. When the index level falls below 42.7, the economy is falling (Updegrave, p. 4) The Industrial production index measures how much industries are producing and the capacity utilization index measures the efficiency of production capacity. This is used as an inflation indicator. If the index is up to 85, inflation is increasing because prices will have to increase ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Currently, the market environment of the athletic apparel industry has several key players, including brands such as Nike, Adidas, Under Armor, Dicks Sporting Goods, and others. Foot Locker carries many of these brands within is chain of stores. As a third–party retailer that carries many brand's products, competition comes from other outside retailers as well as the brands that they carry, such as Nike, Under Armor, etc., who focus on their direct to consumer sales, (Diaz CNBC). "Many customers prefer to bypass third–party stores and rely on the brands' own retail stores," (Kenra Investors 2017). By Foot Locker's suppliers also being member of the market and competing against the firm, this has given the suppliers more bargaining power. This is seen as an issue in Porter's Five Forces model, due to the suppliers having strong control and competitive forces with Foot Locker and the industry. With online retailers jeopardizing brick and mortar locations, "Investors, who knocked down Foot Locker shares more than 25%, seem to be more concerned with a June deal where Nike agreed to sell some products on Amazon," (Gottfried 2017). Being liberal bias about news networks is to be open to new opinions about an event and sometimes can be given false information or misinterpretation about it. Having a conservative view about the news is still having to hold to certain beliefs and values and being cautious about what changes are happening. Many people get news from the six powers house news networks that are either liberal or conservative. CBS, ABC, and NBC were the only news networks, since 1948, where people were able to get the recent news happening and are now considered the mainstream news channels which also have a liberal view about the news. The Honest, Non-Bias Analysis The Honest, Non–Biased, Un–Opinionated News Today's media coverage does not truly report accurately on what has happened, but rather focus on their point of views and how they perceived the events. They mix in their flavor of the news and try to sway in their audience to switch or reaffirm their point of view. News reporting today has become "What I see is what you should see." New sources today are filled with preconceived opinions relying on the theoretical what–ifs. Media Influence On Marijuana Whether by exit/entrance, in–person, internet, or telephone, over time, political polls have been used by mass media outlets to strategically create interest groups and objectively measure public opinion. Political scientist, V.O. Key, Jr., described public opinion as "those opinions held by private persons which government finds it prudent to head." The media relies on polls the right amount because it's only a general sample and doesn't include every potential factor such as question ambiguity, non– response, and non–attitudes. In addition, as discussed in lecture, many citizens are unconnected, uninformed, or inconsistent in their ideologies. Given these potential errors, the media's use of polls has a mixed effect. CBS News uses this poll in order to explain how progressive Americans have felt toward marijuana over the years. As mentioned in the introduction, many Americans were uninformed on the effects of marijuana from the 1970s up to the 2000s. In addition to that notion, since 1997, the percentage of Americans who had not tried marijuana decreased from 65% to 56%, meaning many Americans based their opinion off environmental influences. It stated that the exchanges would pause if the trading in a stock declines more than 10 percent in any five–minute interval. This reaction has changed previous circuit breaker rule. According to Bob Pisani, the writer of " Flash Crash 5 years later: What have we learned?" published on CNBC on May 5, 2015, claimed "five years ago, each exchange had its own rule that governed when individual stocks would be halted for sudden volatility." But this rule is confusing and now it has been eliminated. The new consistent system– wide circuit breakers rule is for all individual stocks, and other revised market–wide circuit breakers that will kick in when the S&P 500 drops 7 percent or more during the trading day. 5.2 Erroneous trade breaking rules The SEC has previously approved the Clearly Erroneous Pilot program, which identified new rule following the flash crash outlining when an erroneous trade would be broken, said Deborah L. That means the newly private company would be highly indebted, though analysts at the ISI Group and Mizuho point out that the company has respectable cash flow, generating about $3.7 billion in cash from operations during that time. The bigger question for the company is whether going private would solve any of the issues it has faced for years. Its traditional business of making and selling personal computers has become less and less profitable, and Dell has already been trying to move into the more lucrative and stable market of providing hardware and software services for corporations. That's not something that requires Dell to be private, however. And there's also the question of whether a newly private Dell, forced to spend much of its revenue on paying down its debt, would have money to invest in its business or pay for new acquisitions. Since the 1987–1988 school year "students at public four–year institutions paid an average $3,190 in tuition, with prices adjusted to reflect 2017 dollars. Thirty years later, that average has risen to $9,970 for the 2017–2018 school year(Martin)." Parents all over the world will make their kid's focus on a sport in hopes that they will get a scholarship and not have to pay the high fees for college. They don't get to have the freedom to do the things that wealthy children can, for example wealthy kids have no financial problems going in to college while poor kids will struggle and have to get students loans. As a parent, you just hope that your kid will be good enough to get a scholarship so that you won't have to pay for the college tuition. Martin also states, "More likely, the hypothetical child would pay the tuition bill themselves, as the rising cost of higher education has led Americans to struggle with a collective $1.4 trillion in student loan debt(MAKE IT)." ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As a result, if the poor kids end up going to college they are in debt for many dollars and is challenging to repay. "In 2012, 71 percent of graduates from four–year colleges carried debt, with students at public schools owing an average of $25,550 and those with degrees from private colleges owing $32,300(Martin)." That means that debt is becoming an overwhelming problem for college students. College students don't know how to handle this ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Bank Of Americ A Look At America Bank of America: A Look at America's #2 Bank¬¬¬¬¬¬¬ By Finance for Managers Richard Bristow Professor Maria Perez Saint Leo University February 24, 2017 Since one of the largest positions in my investment portfolio is Bank of America, traded on the NASDAQ under the symbol (BAC), I decided to take and in–depth look at this company and hopefully see for myself why this stock and other financials have performed so well over the past few months. I also hope to educate myself more about BAC and financials in general, so that I can have a more detailed and meaningful conversation with my portfolio manager about why he chose BAC as my largest financial position. Abstract By definition, banks are: "A financial ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It went on to mention that BAC had been struggling with regulatory changes from the previous administration, but that talk of deregulation by the new Trump administration could help improve BAC's position moving forward. (The Wall Street Journal, 2017, n.d.). Now, according to the latest data from Investopedia, BAC's Price to earnings ratio, (P/E) is 17.56, which is a high, and I like to keep P/E ratios for companies that I invest in at lower than 14, but since a lot of this growth has occurred since my initial investment, I am ok with its high P/E ratio, although BAC may be a stock that needs to be considered for profit taking by any investor who bought this stock prior to last year. Another consideration for a potential BAC investor is the fact that BAC pays a dividend. Before an investor should consider buying or selling a stock, it should always contemplate how dividends should be incorporated in that decision. BAC current pays a 1.44% annual dividend. (Investopedia, 2016, n.d.). While 1.44% may not seem like a lot, it is attractive to me as an investor because that extra percentage can cover a large portion of the fees involved with trading stocks. I think people tend to overlook these important details when considering an investment.

Video Game Industry Women In particular the video game industry has been commanded by a mostly male eccentric community, but in the past two decades, women have been encroaching on the alleged "private" life of the male video gamer's community and they are petrified they are going to lose a unique time to get away from their lives and women in general. "It's a $27.5 billion industry, but the modern video game industry had a humble beginning."(CNBC, 1). The video game industry was thought up by an engineer named Ralph Baer in 1966. Moving forward over the years video gaming was established from the ground up by male computer scientist and engineers. The first video game released publicly was set loose upon the public at Andy Capp's Tavern in Sunnyvale, California. The game was made by two men, one of the men was Nolan ... The women's journey to success in the gaming industry was not an easy one, but for those who did make it their contributions and their prominences had a lasting impact in the world of video games (Cohen, 1). The male gaming community is suffering from a appeal to popular opinion, all because other people are saying women should not be involved in the gaming industry. The first ever woman game programmer and designer was Carol Shaw. She is best known for working with Activision but before she ever was involved with them she became the first female to program and design a video game, 3D Tic–Tac–Toe for the Atari 2600 (Cohen, 6). In addition to Shaw being the first female video game programmer we have Dona Bailey who in 1980 became the first woman to design an arcade game. Steve Jobs : The Apple Of Igeneration 's Eyes Steve Jobs: The Apple of iGeneration's Eyes As millions around the world swipe through their iPhones today, not much thought is given to the visionary man who played a pivotal role in the development of this innovative device. Steve Jobs, the man behind the development of iPhone and multiple other devices such as the iPods, iPads etc., was the backbone of Apple Inc. (CNBC Titans: Steve Jobs, 2011). Under his guidance and supervision, Apple Inc. has achieved new heights by re–defining the manner in which we, as consumers of electronics, interact with technology (Kane & Fowler, 2011). Apple Inc. not only introduced new and innovative devices into the market but also fulfilled Jobs vision of taking complicated technologies and simplifying them so that they can be used as consumer products (CNBC Titans: Steve Jobs, 2011). Jobs' technology company was unique from others as it was the "one that developed tightly integrated packages of hardware and software." (Steve Jobs: Insanely Great, 2011). Jobs creative ideas and visionary thinking enabled Silicon Valley to transform from a fruit orchard into the technology industry's innovation center of U.S. today (Kane & Fowler, 2011). Legalize Marijuana; Annotated Bibliography Essay Annotated Bibliography on the Legalization of Marijuana Marijuana is the most commonly used illegal substance in United States and in many other countries; this is a statement that seems to be in each article that is written about the legalization of marijuana. This is a subject that has been up for debate for quite a few years now. There are many people who support the legalization of this drug and are strongly convinced that marijuana is not a drug in which one should be punished for, but rather a drug that should not be frowned upon and seen as a way to help our nation economically and medically. To produce different plants, genetic cross–breeding is performed, as well as using different techniques for growing the plant. The main psychoactive ingredient in marijuana, which is also the most responsible for its intoxicating effects, is known as delta–9–tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC. THC is one of the cannabinoids found in marijuana, and there are over sixty of them. It is the cannabinoid that produces the high, and although there are other cannabinoids present, the effect is different with the absence of THC. They interact with THC to affect its impact in a variety of ways: enhancing or attenuating it, speeding up or slowing down its onset, and influencing how long the effect lasts (Caulkin 7). According to the authors, recent studies have shown that there is another compound in marijuana that is increasing the attention of both scientists and medical marijuana providers known as cannabidiol, or CBD. CBD is not an intoxicating product, and does not produce a high when alone, but some researchers claim it may calm the anxiety produced by THC. Some research suggests that marijuana with a better balance between CBD and THC is less risky than the high–THC, low–CBD strains that now dominate the upper end of the marijuana market (Caulkin 9). With scientists discovering the new compound CBD, it makes them more interested in doing further research in order to discover more roles of other compounds ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The first reason is about 20 percent of households and more than half of single parents would pay more in taxes under Trump's tax plan even with the child–care breaks Raising taxes for the middle–class families is bad because that family probably do not have room to pay more taxes because it is already high enough. The Problems Of Deutsche Bank The Problems Deutsche Bank is facing: Global capital markets are being pressured by the travails of Deutsche Bank, one of Europe's largest investment banks, and there is yet no clarity on when the coast will clear. The bank's stock has plunged to all–time lows as concerns about liquidity arose for a firm considered systemically important. This worry is heightened as German Chancellor Angela Merkel's administration has rejected any bail–out plan. • 74. Essay On College Is Not Worth A Degree College, Is it worth it? To most people college is their goal at succeeding in life. Whether you get a scholarship or pay yourself, college is expensive. To some it is a waste of time and money due to the fact that, graduates are not getting their money's worth in their degree, they are burdened by student loans, and their degree does not guarantee them a job. With that and a growing tuition rate, most people can't afford a higher education. College is simply not worth the cost anymore. With the rise in minimum wage nationwide, things cost a lot more. That doesn't mean you have $42,500 to pay for college yearly,(CNBC 2015). That's a lot of money if you're not working. Even state colleges are charging $19,000(CNBC 2015). And considering you're going to need a loan, That's going to add to our nationwide student loan debt of 1.2Trillion,(CNBC 2015). But due to the fact that you could earn enough money to pay back all that debt, it is still appealing to most people. The thing is going to college is a lot like gambling.
