I. Intro: What is Christmas About?
We all have heard about Christmas on TV, music, etc. We celebrate with our families and enjoy the
holiday together. We have timeless traditions that bring us together. We leave cookies out for Santa
Claus and we tell our kids to be good for Santa Claus. I remember every year I made sure I was good and
I slept a lot harder than I did so I wouldn’t disturb Santa and lose all of my presents. I actually believed
that Santa was real until I was 15 thanks to my little brother lol. I now know the person who came up
with the idea of Santa Claus was a man of God who wanted to give gifts to children. Christmas was
always fun. But the true meaning of Christmas has a deeper meaning to it, but surprisingly, it has the
same qualities. Christmas is all about the real Santa Claus, God the Father, and him sending his son,
being coequal with the father so we can have life and that more abundantly. He came so God can have
peace with us and be with us forever. Through Jesus, we can be delivered from bondage, and walk in
newness of life forever.
