The story is about a father who has two sons. One son asks for his inheritance and squanders it all in a distant land. When a famine hits, he is forced to feed pigs and becomes hungry. He decides to return home and apologize to his father. Upon his return, his father forgives him and celebrates his return. The story teaches us that God will forgive us like the father forgave his son, even when we repent and turn back to Him. We should listen to the spirit, apologize, ask forgiveness, make things right, and continue to grow.
