2. Introduction Our project is about the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. On that September day, four planes were hijacked; two made it to their destination of the World Trade Center, one other made it to their destination, which was the Pentagon, and the final plane crashed somewhere in Pennsylvania. Not only did all the innocent people on the planes lose their lives that day, but also the ones who were filled in the Twin Towers.
3. Who?? “Al-Qaeda [also spelled Al-Qaida, meaning “The Base”] is an international terrorist network led by Usama bin Laden (the “Osama” spelling is deprecated, because there is no letter “O” in Arabic)” (Globalsecurity. org). Al- Qaeda is represented by Islamic peoples, and their foundation is “The World Islamic Front for Jihad Against the Jews and Crusaders.” Khalid al Mihdar, Nawaf al Hazmi, and MajedMoqued were the three hijackers of the 3 American airlines. Their statement: “it was the duty of all Muslims to kill US citizens—civilian or military—and their allies everywhere” (Globalsecurity. org).
4. What?? On September 11, 2001, 19 al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked four commercial airliners to attack the United States. The hijackers crashed into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City. The Twin Towers fell within two hours taking down and damaging others. Another airliner crashed into the Pentagon in Virginia. The fourth plane crashed when its passengers and crew members tried to take control of the plane. No one survived any of the crashes on that terrible day. There were 2,995 deaths including 19 hijackers. The United States acted on the attacks by launching the war on Iraq to stop terrorism. The damage to the Pentagon was repaired within a year, and they built a Pentagon Memorial. They started building the Flight 93 National Memorial on November 8, 2009. It is expected to be ready by the 10th anniversary since the attacks in 2011.

6. Where?? Twin Towers: Liberty St & Church St New York, NY 10006 Pentagon: 1400 Defense Pentagon Washington, DC Pennsylvania Country side was where the fourth plane hit. They chose the state of New York because the Twin Towers were the tallest buildings in the United States. The Muslims figured that these two towers alone would hold thousands of people, so that’s why they made the Twin Towers their target.
7. When?? At 8:45 a.m., on September 11, 2001, the first plane hit the world trade center destroying floors 94 through 98 . Then at 9:03 a.m. the second plane crashes into the other world trade center and exploded destroying floors 78 through 84. Another plane crashed into the largest office at the Pentagon at 9:43 a.m. At 10:05, the south tower of the world trade center collapses, it took ten seconds for the south tower to go down. Then at 10:28 the north World Trade Center collapses At 10:48 the police confirmed that the fourth plane had crashed in Pennsylvania

9. Why?? We are to believe that the U.S government set up a mass murder plot and turned the blame on the foreigners to cover up the truth. The truth of 9/11 would cause political problems this country couldn’t even imagine because by some its believed that the government was behind all of it. Osama Bin Laden made many statements that showed our country that he was Anti-American.
12. Points of View Conspiracy Theorist It is believed by some that the government was behind the attack of the World Trade Centers and knew about it the whole time. This was to keep population control and to have great power over the country. They use a “scare tactic” so the citizens will rely heavily on the government and believe everything that is told to them by the government this can make them be easily influenced or persuaded to go along with anything the government says or does. Al’ Qaeda Al’Qaeda is killed with Islamic peoples, who are called Radical Muslims. Their goal is to take down US Citizens and their Allies. Three radical Muslims from Iraq, who were representing Al’ Qaeda, caused planes to crash into the Twin Towers and the pentagon, citizens all across the country believed we should get revenge on Iraq. The US now has a strong hate towards Iraq and the Iraqi people because the government has persuaded US to think they all of a sudden just wanted to attack US to achieve their “statement”
13. Groups point of view Our whole group has come to the decision that we agree with the Conspiracy Theorists. To us, it makes a lot of sense that our government was behind the whole set up. Even though Al’ Qaeda believes in going against US citizens and our government, it is hard to believe that they were so organized and prompt with their plan. Our country is very heavily populated, so its easy to believe that the government was using this as population control, and to make so many people become scared and ready to listen to everything the government has to say.
14. Conclusion September 11, 2001, was a day we will never forget; it was a day that the world changed. People wondered why this had to happen. Everyone blamed the Radical Muslims from Iraq, but Conspiracy theorists say that our government had something to do with the attacks. No one knows the true answer. People were dying for no reason; buildings fell, planes crashed, and many lives were lost all because of September 11, 2001; REMEMBERING THE DAY TERRORISTS STRUCK!
