1. Thomas Hardy
He was born in Higher Bockhampton on 2nd of June,1840 and he
studied in schools locals and privates. His father obtained him a
work of apprentice with a architect local. This was working in
restore olds churches. Of 1862 a 1867 he work for other
architect and afterwards en Dorset he continued in the
construction, in spite of his bad health. While he wrote poetry
but without success. After he started to write novels y when he
discovered that the novels were more easy to sell he continued
writing novels. In 1874, he marries with his first wife, Emma
Gifford. He knew her when he was working in Cornualles. In
1912 she dies then he write his book of the poems called: Lo
que queda de una vieja llama. These poems describe his love for
her and his later loss. In 1914 Florence Dugdale was his second
wife. She wrote his biography when he died the 11th of January,
1928.
Sus obras
He published his first novels anonymous, in 1871 “remedios
desesperados” and in 1872 “Bajo el arbol”. In 1873 “Unos ojos
azules” and in 1874 “Lejos del mundanal rubio” he published two
novels with his name. These novels were received perfectly and
the last was taken to the cinema in 1967. Later, he wrote some
small novels as soon as Los Woodlander in 1887 and Pequeñas
Ironias de la Vida in 1884. His most important novels are: El
alcalde de Casterbridge, El regreso del nativo, Tess, la
de los d'Urberville, Lejos del mundanal ruido y Jude el
oscuro. Other novels were: El brazo marchito y otros relatos,
