2. This artifact is a discussion that
Joe, Corrine, and I had on week 7 about
Narrative and Informational text.
I chose this artifact because it taught me
a lot of what my peers were reading and
which text, narrative or
informational, was better for the
classroom.
This was important for me because we all
had a healthy conversation about our
different opinions and it was also
educational.
This knowledge could influence me by
not just relying on my opinions but
gathering other teachers ideas and
opinions to better my teaching.
3. This is my daybook that I started at the
beginning of the semester. I tried to
write in it at least 3 times a week if not
more.
I decided this artifact was important
because it taught me a lot about myself
and how I write. I became a better writer
because of this journal.
This journal was important to me
because it was a tool that I can use to
show my students that even in college I
was writing in my daybook.
I can take this journal that I kept up all
semester into my classroom to help the
students with their writing skills.
4. This artifact is the book I was reading
during the semester.
I chose this book because this class made
me understand the different genres and
how different authors write. The book is
written by 1000 different authors who have
traveled to these places and their
perspective on the travels.
This artifact was important because it gave
me an understanding on how different
authors write, especially those from
different countries.
I can take this book into my classroom and
have the students read the short write-ups
on the different places. This can cover
reading, language arts, and social studies.
5. This is week 7’s reading assignment on
informational text.
I chose this reading because it gave me a
better understanding on informational
text and some examples of them.
This article is important to me because it
gives me examples of what I could allow
students to do for assignments on
informational texts.
This article is actually in my daybook
and I can use this for many things in the
future.
6. This is the last class Power Point.
This was important and the reason I
chose it was because it gave us the
overview of the class and the important
points we needed to take from this class.
This last discussion in for this class can
be implemented in my future classroom
in many ways. The main points were
covered and those were obviously the
main ideas we need to take into the
classroom with us.
