2. Foundation Armor manufactures sodium silicate
sealers and lithium silicate sealers for concrete
and masonry. While both sodium and lithium
are silicate based sealers, there are a few small
differences:
3. 1. Sodium silicates take 24 hours to dry and lithium
silicates only take 6.
2. Sodium silicates are diluted with 3 parts water
and lithium silicates are diluted with 1 part
water.
3. Sodium silicate sealers require two coats,
lithium silicate sealers only require 1 coat.
4. Because sodium silicates and lithium silicates are silicates the
reaction and protection are the same. The silicate reacts with
the free lime and calcium to form a crystalline barrier within
the pores to stop water, moisture, vapors, and Radon.
Foundation Armor sealers out-last and out-perform all sodium
silicate and lithium silicate sealers on the market. The are
specially formulated to stop water migration up to 100 PSI and
vapor migration up to 0.015 WVT.
