The document discusses various digital tools and platforms that the writer used for researching, planning, constructing, and promoting a film trailer project with a group. These included using Twitter to connect with other filmmakers and share trailers, Instagram and Facebook to create character profiles and share project updates, Google Docs for collaborative writing, WhatsApp for planning meetings and sharing materials, and photo editing tools like PicMonkey and Photoshop. Hardware like an iPhone, digital camera, tripod and Final Cut Pro software were used for filming, editing and steady shots. Feedback was gathered through social media.
3. TWITTER
I used twitter to connect with other trailer makers. I
could ‘Retweet’ trailers to show my other bloggers.
Twitter lets you follow other users so you can keep
up to date with what they are doing.
4. INSTAGRAM
Our group made instargams for our two characters
‘Adam’ and ‘Eve’ This meant we could make the
characters look more realistic by uploading pictures
normal teenage kids would. On instagram I could
‘like’ others images and see some behind the scene
pictures celebrities post.
5. FACEBOOK
Our group made a facebook page. This allowed
others to easily give there feedback by commenting
and liking our posts. It also meant people could
share our information to their friends easily.
6. PINTREST
This was helpful when me and my group where
trying to create the perfect image for our characters.
This was especially helpful for our character ULAR.
We put together some really nice clothes for this
character which portrayed his image well.
8. GOOGLEDOCS
Me and my group used googledocs a lot. This was a
really useful website as it meant you could all wright
on the same document as each other at one time.
We could revisit things like shot lists and call sheets
and change what we needed.
9. WATSAPP
My group and I used Wastapp very often. We would
plan our meeting times on here and remind each
other the props and clothing we all needed. Watsapp
allows you to share images and videos very quickly.
10. FACETIME
We used facetime in our group to plan and
organisethings seeing each other instead of typing.
This was useful to be able to look at eachothers
blogs and props we had.
11. PICMONKEY
This was a really useful tool. It allowed me to
compare pictures to eachother and collage images
together. I used this a lot on my blog roll to make it
look more neat and professional.
12. SNAPCHAT
This helped me and my group to communicate well.
We could snap each other pictures and get some
easy quick replies. Snapchat is a tool you have to
take pictures and send them to others. You can
choose how long they can view the images for. You
can also set stories for everyone your friends with
too see. You can also chat on snapchat now with
there new update.
14. IPHONE
My iphone has been very useful as it has all the
applications on it to get quick easy access to
everything we have needed. It also has a very good
camera allowing me to take pictures of the set and
costumes we use.
15. DIGITAL CAMERA
We used a Nikon D5200 to film our trailer. Having a
digital camera allows us to check all our work
instantly to make sure its in focus.
16. PHOTOSHOP
I used photo - shop to create MY FILM POSTER and
MY MAGAZINE COVER. I have some experience in
photo - shop so using this was easy for me and
made the poster and magazine very professional.
17. FINAL CUT PRO
This a very good website to produce our trailer from.
It was easy to use and had all the right effects our
group needed.
18. TRIPOD
This was a very important piece of equipment. It
meant the filming stayed steady and looked a lot
more professional. This was especially important for
the romantic scenes where everything was slow.
19. EVALUATION
I used all the same technologies like Instagram,
Facebook, twitter and Wastapp as this meant I could
share and post my trailer for everyone too see. I got
a lot of great feedback from all of these app’s. They
are all very useful as you can different feedback in
different ways from each.
