A Rainbow Comes After The Storm Short Story
A Rainbow Comes After the Storm
Newaygo, Michigan, a small, little, suburban town north of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Their tubing
and rafting was a hotspot for families to spend quality time together. I was part of one of them. I was
filled with excitement. While we were waiting in line, we were cracking jokes and having a good
time. "Group number 43, head your way to the pink bus!" the announcer called. My family of 7 got
onto the bus. It was my uncle, my aunt, my 6–year–old cousin, Avi, My 11–year–old cousin, Preet,
my parents and me. We were on the bus, in this strange tiny town. We drove down the dirt road,
down to the forest. I found this quite sketchy, but the only thing that was in my head was jumping
into the cold, crisp, and clear water as I imagined. Then, the bus began to shake as the bus driver
announced through the radio, "Don't be frightened, we are almost there! Just a few more of these
sharp turns and you'll be on your tubes down the refreshing water. Just remember to get off at the
bridge, or you'll be in deep trouble."
The bridge, the bridge, the bridge. I kept on repeating that in my head so I would not forget.
Suddenly, everyone started clapping. It was finally time to get off. Preet and I rushed to get the tubes
for everyone in our family, and some twine to attach it. We were filled with excitement. Time flew
by, and we were finally on the dock. We got our tubes tied up, and went into the water. The sun was
shining through the dancing, tall, trees and everyone was smiling. Groups started to pass us by, to
the point we were isolated. We couldn't see anyone else in the vast river. There was no possible way
to get of neither. The land was all slanted, so you would have to climb, along with that it was all
private property. I was slightly worried about this.
"Mommy, is that a sea monster?" My cousin, Avi questioned. Then all of a sudden there was a
BOOM! A tree log stuck us. This tree log was gigantic; it looked like it weighed a million pounds. It
was so big that we couldn't get around it. We couldn't use it to hold onto as it was all mushy and wet.
I thought to myself, should I go under the log, but it's way too low, I would drown. We are going to
be stuck here forever. We have nothing

A Short Story : A Story?
Darkness, then light, the sound of the radio downstairs and the the soft beep of my alarm clock. I
don't bother pushing snooze. I'm tired from staying up till 2:00am to study, but I don't have time to
waste. I climb out of bed, walk, half awake to the bathroom to get changed and brush my teeth. I
slowly walk down the stairs , the smell of bacon and eggs luring me towards the kitchen. At the
table sat my mom, browsing through her facebook status. She barely noticed me when I walked in
the room.
"Mom."I said, with a hint of annoyance in my voice. A few seconds went by before she spoke, but to
me they felt like minutes. Minutes spent standing at the bottom of the stairs, waiting. Eventually, she
looked up from her phone and gave me a smile.
"Good morning sunshine! How are you?"She took a long sip of her coffee. "Fine." I replied, still
annoyed that she hadn't noticed my arrival before I had to announce my presence to her.She bit her
lip. "Aww don't be that way honey, you know how busy I am." I Muttered as if under my breath. For
now, I was too tired to put up a fight. I put it aside in the back of my mind. "Wheres dad?" I asked.
"He had to go to work early." That was the answer I was expecting. Dad always had to go to work
early. I sat down and ate my bacon and eggs in silence. After I had finished, I grabbed my bag and
headed out the door. On the way to the bus stop, I saw Jennifer walk out of her house, the house
with the blue walls and grey carpet inside.A house I could

Essay About Children
A long time ago, there was District 16. The District 16 was controlled by a strict government.
January seventeenth every year there is a meeting for the whole town to celebrate the children. This
celebration is to introduce the children to a new item. When someone turns twelve in District 16 the
government chooses a sport for that child to play. A family named the Smiths just got a new baby
from the government to raise. They already had two children a sixteen year old boy named James
and an eleven year old girl named Morgan and now a one year old girl named Lucy. This year the
government will give Morgan a sport, James will be given a job and Lucy will be given a swing to
help relax her into the world. On January sixteenth the night ... Show more content on

picked up to go to the meeting. I was at the meeting and we got our blood drawn by a nettle and
given a number and told to go over with are age and line up in order with are numbers. I got to the
12 and I looked at my hand at my number I was lucky 810 hopefully. I saw 800 and 850 then I saw
809 then I said hello and stood behind a small girl. She looked at me and whispered I am really
nervous I always have bad luck on getting what I want to get. I just smiled what sport do you want I
asked nicely she said I really love doing swim. Attention please quiet down said a voice I did not
know where it was coming from so I looked around trying to find what we call the government
stage. Then I saw it was the lady that I gave me my bike when I turned 9 she was really scary
looking. Her name was Gloria she said while let's get started she started with new families like
always she congratulate our neighbor who got a baby boy and then finally he congratulated my mom
and thanked her for all her hard work Lucy was not the normal baby girl she weighs 1 pound when
we got her and they told my mom that this was going to be a challenge. Gloria finished off by
thanking the family that got a new family member. Finally Goria moved on to the 1 Lucy was the
first one called my mom carried her up to get her swing and then she came back down. Then 2 3 4 5

Personal Narrative: Divorce Essay
Personal Narrative: Divorce Mum had briefly informed me that we were going to a place that would
"make sure that the right parent looked after us." This was drilled into me for weeks in advance
along with the miscellaneous "I love you more than Dad does" and " you enjoy living with me more
than Dad, don't you?" What Mum didn't realise is that children can see straight through people like
her so her ongoing effort to unbalance my opinion just floated straight past me like a cloud. My
brother, on the other hand, had a tendency to make it seem as if he trusted every word Mum said.
Whether he really did or whether it was all a very ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Trying to find something else to worry about I wandered into Mum's room. I found her standing in
front of the mirror getting ready to go. She saw me in the mirror but just continued beautifying
herself. She was dressed smartly and was applying her make–up as if this was just a chance to show
off. I watched her for a while and there was something provocative and spiteful about her, as if she
had changed to a different person I didn't know. I lay on her bed and just stared at the ceiling trying
to make sense of my first encounter with the confusion of the real, adult world.
A few minutes later Mum had ushered me off of her bed and out of her room and told me to put my
shoes and coat on. Instinctively, I went to help my brother put his shoes on because I knew that's
what Mum actually meant. He was three years younger than me but I didn't appreciate that he
wouldn't understand the importance of this visit long awaited by Mum. I kept talking to him and
sharing my feelings but the only response I got was "where are we going, rach?" Since I didn't know
the answer to this question I stopped talking and proceeded to tie his shoe laces.
In the car, on the way to this unknown place I sat in the back seat in a daze. I saw my brother trying
to glance out of the window but still seeming quite content so I thought I would follow his lead. Just

The Day That Changed My Life
The sun shined into the bedroom and my heavy, tired eyes eagerly opened. A huge smile was
revealed on my face and a burst of chuckles traveled across the room. The laughter of a four–year–
old child filled the hallways. The excitement was visible in my coffee–colored eyes as I ran down
the stairs. I was elated! Today was February 4th, 2005; it was the day! This was the day that I got to
finally play dress up with my mother and baby sister. I expected this day to be the best day of my
life! However, it was also the day that changed my life for the worst.
As soon as I reached the last step, I dashed straight forward into the living room. I found my mom
sitting on the floor with my little sister, Tianna. My mom was talking on the phone with ... Show

I slipped out of my pajamas and put the frilly dress over my head. I skipped around the room while
watching the dress twirl around in majestic circles. After minutes upon minutes of prancing around
the room, I began to hear my stomach striking up a conversation with me. The growls could be
heard a mile away. In order to tame the hungry beast inside of my belly, I turned to my mom and
asked her to make me a bowl of Nissin Ramen noodles.
When I was younger, I believed that nothing was better than eating a tub of chicken noodles for
breakfast! My mom agreed to make me the soup, yet she gave me a simple warning before she left
the room. "Tyra," she began, "don't get that food from the microwave. You're gonna hurt yourself.
Okay?" She always asked this of me before she cooked me a hot meal. All the other times, I actually
listened to her warning. This time, the warning went through one ear and out the other. For that
reason, I recklessly agreed to do what she had told me to do. Thinking that I would actually follow
through with that command, she headed downstairs with my sister to prepare my meal.
Since my room was upstairs and directly above the kitchen, I could hear my mom pulling glass
dishes out of one of the cabinets. I decided to change out of the princess dress because I did not
want to risk spilling soup all over it. I was a very messy eater! I took off the princess dress and
shoved it back into the trunk. While in search

Personal Narrative: Creating A Blackbox Style Theatre
I am creating a set in a blackbox style theatre which requires a 16 foot square, 12 inch tall raised
acting area which also contains a wall with a door on the upstate side. The first thing I must do is
create the platform. The platform is 16 ft long and 16 feet wide and 12 inches tall. I will be using 3/4
inch plywood for the flooring of my platform and 2x4 for framing underneath and support legs.
Once I use my table saw to cut out my 16'x16' piece of plywood I will also be cutting four 16'x12"
pieces for the sides of the platform. Then using four 12 inch pieces of my 2x4 I will be attaching the
four 16'x12" pieces together using my drill and screws. Once that is complete I will be taking my
16'x16' piece of platform and attaching it to the top of my now "frame". Once again going in with a
drill in screws, mind you I also used wood glue during this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

After cutting out the required measurement for the door, I also add a border around the area cut out,
once again matching the measurements of the space cut out. From there I also need to attach two
hinges on the frame of the door and the doorway to attach the door to the flat. I will be attaching it
once again using a drill and screws. I also have to cut out a bit of the door in order to attach a
working handle, which will also be attached using screws. After completing that I can now attach
the three 16'x12" to the flat with the door. Using wood glue, screws and my drill I do that and leave
it to dry. Once both of my pieces are dry it is now time to attach the platform to the flat. While doing
this is it super important that I am using a speed square to insure that my flat is standing exactly
straight up off of the platform. Once I am certain that it is straight I begin to insert the screws. This
time I will be using picket screws to guarantee that my flat stays secure. After I finish screwing my
set is complete and ready to be painted however it is required to be for the

Egyptian Woodworking
Egyptian woodworking has been around practically since the first Pharaoh(1). Some tools those
Egyptians used were the lathe, the adze, the cane bender, the saw and the axe. They are pretty simple
tools and some of them are even still used today. One of the tools not used today would be the adze
and it was used for carving and planing but now we have different tools that work better than
that(2). Some of the things the Egyptians would build with their use of woodwork would be when
they built their huts and also when they build their mud buildings because they would make a frame
of the building out of wood.
They also were very big on boat building, they would build boats to go down the Nile river. Boat
building is a very difficult process, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
That improvement dramatically helped woodwork today, it sped up build time on houses from
possibly years down to months. It also shrank the amount of people to build a house because they
wouldn't need as much people to lift heavy objects because of the equipment we have today. We
have other things beside woodworking tools to help with the process like cranes because they lift the
large pieces of prebuilt parts of the frame, we also have crowbars that we use to move the wood
either into position or rip it out because of something like the nail being all messed up.
Woodworking today is very much as important as everything else but metalwork still has a bigger
influence today especially for welders because of their building of skyscrapers in major cities.(6)
One of the greatest advancement to wood working today would have to be how easy it is to buy the
wood your wanting to work on. Today there is a greater ability to use a bigger variety of wood
locally bought because of lumber distributors around the world. They make it easier to buy and they
check the quality of the wood before even buying most times. If it wasn't for lumber distributors, the
woodworkers today would possibly have to get their own wood straight out of the

Egocertervilles Book Report
Emily's Travels
It was dusk as I walked along the oceans edge, the air is humid and tastes salty. All of my
surroundings are hazy. I do not know where I am or how I came to be here, yet my heart rate is slow
and steady. I see a dimly lit light off in the distance, so I decide to go investigate. As I draw closer I
realize it is a lamppost situated beside a boardwalk to a small town. As I looked down I found the
most peculiar tracks in the sand, it resembled the shapes of a humans hand. Curiously, I ventured
into the quaint little village. I followed the boardwalk, it took me nearly all night to find the town.
By daybreak life in this strange land was in full swing. There was an archway with the word

I was running and all the sudden...BAM!!! I looked up suddenly, my science book had fallen off of
my desk that must have been the "bam" I heard. I realized that the town of Egocentrville had all
been a dream, I was not actually there. I woke up with my head lying on my Gulliver's Travels book,
I had fallen asleep reading. I realized as I fell asleep that my subconscious took the way Gulliver
made fun of England's Government and applied it to the problems of our world today. Then it hit
me, people crawled around on their hands and knees because nobody was willing to stand up for
what they believe in. Their eyes were mirroring the desires of their hearts, so in the man's eyes when
I saw himself in his eyes, he was the center of his own world. When I tripped of the woman who had
he hollowed arm I realized it was because we do not have a strong relationship with God. Our
country is hollow from the absence of God filling us with His presence. When I stumbled into the
building with everyone in the center of the room it was because everyone is the center of the own
world. Even in my dream when everyone was crawling and I was the only one standing I stared
crawling for I feared that they would think that I was weird. When I wasn't comfortable

Galactic Thieves
When I was a boy I always thought I was different. I thought I was meant for greatness and I was
going to change the world. "Come on Chris we got a job to do", Jacob said I put my journal down
and got my gear on. The galactic thieves and I jump out of our ship and rocketed into planet X–9.
Yes, it is true that I am different but I am not doing anything great. As we plunged into the Castro
sea we watched the ship take off. When we washed up on shore we saw the building that our job
was taking place at. We went over the plan one last time and it seemed easy enough. We were
heisting a very special star called sinister. This star could be used in many wrong ways if put in the
wrong hands.
As I sat there in there in the getaway car watching the cameras making sure the live feed didn't come

tools that Carlos left in the cell next to mine when he was fixing it last time we had a leak.
After a couple of hours of figuring out how to use these strange tools I finally loosened the bolts of
the bars. As soon as I went to kick open the cage door I heard the doors down the hallway slide

A Heros Journey
It was late afternoon when we made camp, I found a rock big enough to put the map on and I sat on
the ground with the map on the rock. I was trying to see where we were and how close we are to our
destination. I must have seemed a little puzzled because Seth came over and asked, "Is there
anything I can do to help?" "No, I'm pretty sure I know where to go, but something about this map
has me perplexed," I said sounding confused. "Like what?" Seth asked. "I'm a little confused. Mr.
Tompkins always puts the maps in code and this one doesn't even have that." I said. "Huh, well
that's odd, did you look at the map any other time?" Seth asked. "No, I looked at it last night and

my master bedroom, I wondered how the museum could afford this voyage, the museum wasn't
doing great financially, I had some of my money with me in the case of emergencies. The room was
big enough for a desk, a bed, a closet, and a dresser. The walls were bare wood from the airship,
which gave it a neat look to the room. We were airborne, I was going to write a letter to the curator
about the issues I had with Seth, but I decided not to write it, instead I decided to go to the dining
hall and eat. When I made my way to the dining hall I was awestruck to see how busy and full it was
and the smells, even the furnishings from; the walls to the carpeting on the floor to the windows, it
was just breathtaking. I went to sit down by myself, and I glanced over at the Captain's table, there
were men in fancy double–breasted coats, vests, and jackets and the women in their full hoop dress

Glumania-Personal Narrative Essay
It all began with a simple phone call one night after dinner. "Josh," my grandfather yelled up the
stairs, "it's for you. It's Jackie, and she sounds angry." As I came downstairs to pick up the phone, I
was not happy. I was tired and had looked forward to a nice quiet evening at home, not another
pointless police chase leading to me and Jackie being outran by some goons. Thirty minutes later,
however, Jackie's white Mustang skrted into our driveway, and Jackie was laying on the horn before
the car had come to a full stop. I scurried to get my shoes and jacket, then ran out the front door with

with Jackie back at our previous location in the field. The look on her face was priceless when she
saw me hover up next to her in the Mustang.
"Hop in and let's go catch these guys." I yelled to Jackie.
She got in and had so many questions to ask which is as expected from her. We flew off in the
direction we last saw the space car speed off towards. There was no sight of where the car possibly
went, but we continued going farther and farther out into what appeared to be nowhere. The cool
calm air rushed through my hair as we continued or journey, it was silent except for the noise of the
humming engine. We decided to delay our pursuit since we had been up all night and find a place to
park the Mustang so we could get some sleep.
As I was drifting off into what would have been a peaceful sleep the roar of an engine in the
distance woke me up.
"Headlights!" I whispered as loudly as I could to

Essay on Till We Have Faces and The Vision of Ungit
Till We Have Faces and The Vision of Ungit
Queen Orual of Glome, the main character in C.S. Lewis's Till We Have Faces is often the victim of
mysterious visions that appear to relate to her real–life experiences. In one of her final visions,
Queen Orual dreams that she is Ungit, an all–consuming goddess who is worshipped by the people
of Glome. Orual definitely is Ungit; she has several characteristics that give evidence of this. Orual
is all–consuming and possessive in her relationships with other people; she wears a veil to cover her
ugly face, giving her a resemblance to the forbidding goddess; she is very demanding of her
servants, which is similar to the intense rituals and sacrifices that Ungit demands. ... Show more

Orual is not pleased with this negative portrayal of herself, but she has to admit that her ambitions
took precedence over Bardia's personal needs. Orual writes, "Heaven knows how we had tormented
him, Ansit and I. For it needs no Oedipus to guess that many and many a night, her jealousy of me
welcomed him home to a bitter hearth" (202).
Orual believes that the veil she wears to hide her ugly face is one of her strengths. The veil creates a
mysterious aura that grows with each passing year. The more the memory of the Queen's face fades,
the wilder the stories about what her veil contains become. The resemblance to a mysterious and
unfathomable goddess is unmistakable. Orual writes, "no one believed it was anything so common
as the face of an ugly woman. Some said it was frightful beyond endurance; a pig's, bear's, cat's, or
elephant's face. The best story was that I had no face at all; if you stripped off my veil you would
find emptiness. The upshot of all this was that I became something mysterious and awful. I have
seen ambassadors turn white like scared children when I faced them"(172).
There are several rituals that the citizens of Glome follow when they are paying homage to Ungit.
They have to "keep girls in her house, brides have to give her gifts, and in a bad year someone's
throat is cut and blood is poured over the stone goddess" (6).

Dr. Seuss And To Think That I Saw It On Mulberry Street
Dr. Seuss Dr. Seuss I took an unconventional approach in the topic I chose for my reading
assignment – whereas most groups selected single novels, my partner and I opted to read a
collection of short stories by none other than the notorious Dr. Seuss. Were I writing this essay on a
"normal" book, I would be able to pose a question about the book itself and answer it in an ordinary
sort of way. However, given the subject matter I have chosen, an essay on an individual book,
though possible, would be a very tricky thing to do. It would be wiser, and probably easier, to
respond to the man himself. My decision to respond to the man himself makes many more choices –
what facet of Dr. Seuss shall I ask myself questions about? I think ... Show more content on

Think That I Saw It On Mulberry Street", under the name "Dr. Seuss". Seuss, obviously proud of
what he had done, attempted to get his book published – 27 letters of rejection came in from 27
companies telling him that his work was much too unconventional for children to understand and
relate to and all that mish–mash, and it was the 28th company that dared to publish his work. That
risk certainly paid off for them... and the rest, as they say, is history. Writing all of this, I have just
thought of a question to explore: Many authors publish many books for many different reasons... to
put them all into a very big nutshell, however, you can see them all in two different groups: Firstly,
there are those who publish for money and fame, churning out one book after another in an attempt
to capitalize/attract audience – although some people might argue this, current "big–name" authors
like Tom Clancy and Michael Crichton fit into this category. Secondly, there are authors who
publish for the thrill of creativity and writing, for the art rather than the

Saw : Jigsaw : The Philosophy Of Saw
Zeeshan Haider

Phil 101
The Philosophy of SAW
Saw is an American mystery psychological thriller franchise, Since 2004 till 2017. The torture
franchise has been locking up morally–dubious characters in all kinds of gruesome, steel
contraptions and inventing creative, new places to hide the keys. "It's right before your eyes. ~ Saw
2" The creepy puppet–master of the Saw franchise is Jigsaw, and does he loves playing games! And
by playing games, it means locking unconscious people inside dank warehouses and giving them 60
seconds to choose between certain death, self–mutilation, or, if they're lucky, disemboweling a
stranger. When people talk about "Saw," they tend to focus on Jigsaw's impressive body count. But
just as you can pick through a pit of heroin syringes to find the hidden key in saw 2, you can sift
through this villain's deadly traps to find the grander meaning of his games.
The Philosophy of Saw all comes down to Jigsaw's motivation: his torturous games are
opportunities for his victims to repent for their sins and ostensibly, to transform into better human
beings. If they survive his tests, (and the odds are never in their favor), he believes that they will
emerge with a newfound ability to appreciate life.
The roots of the series are explored in Saw IV. John Kramer, a successful and highly intelligent civil
engineer, is married to Jill Tuck, who runs a recovery clinic for drug addicts and with whom he
expects a child, which is going to be named

A little background information about the Saw movies is the first Saw movie was released October
29 2004, along with the newly created series, the second Saw movie was released October 28 2005,
almost a year after the first movie of the series was released. The Saw movies are an established
movie franchise. These movies are very dark as well as gory, which appeal to those who are fond of
graphic horror. The first Saw movies was directed and written by James Wan, the second Saw movie
was directed by Darren Lynn Bousman. When watching the two Saw movies, the audience can spot
the differences between them. Each movie has a few similar characters. The main characters in Saw
I as well as Saw II are as follows: Tobin Bell, as John Kramer/Jigsaw, Dina Meyer, Detective
Allison Kerry, and Shawnee Smith, Amanda Young. These characters were constant between the
first two Saw movies. The Saw series is known as movies that over uses gore for some parts of the
movie; nonetheless, the use of the gore causes the movie to be more intense for the audience
watching.
In the first Saw movie, the movie starts, the audience is looking at a dark screen. They notice a man
under water, opening his eyes and rises from the water and screams. The audience then finds out that
there is another man in the room, but they do not know who either of these men are. As the movie

Communication And Cell Phones In The Texas Chain Saw Massacre
Day in and day out people find themselves rubbernecking down at their phones to reply to a text or

Not only could the operation of cell phones be used for transportation and direction aid, but it could
also be used for communication. Beginning with this, a new form of communication could bring to
us a new fear, the fear of the non present. In my opinion, non present characters, such as the
Babadook from the movie Babadook, bring aggrandized fear than present characters such as
Leatherface considering the fact that the character doesn't know when they are there or not. Having
to worry about a creature twenty–four seven would eventually catch up with a stable mind and ruin
their life. Although, this movie doesn't portray a policeman to call, the cell phone could still be used
for communication and in a possibility, stalking. In other words, the five kids could have used a cell
phone after the first sign of danger or fear to call for help. Another specific example of this would be
when Kirk and Pam run off to find a swimming hole and become missing (The Texas Chain Saw
Massacre). Instead of Jerry running to try and find them, he could have used his cell phone to
communicate with them. How can this bring us an uneasy conscious? As an illustration, if Jerry
would call Kirk's phone but, leather face answers screaming obscene words and in the background,
having Pam screaming, it would leave us disturbed and in wonder of what is progressing and what is
happening to the two poor children. This would act

The Music And Arts Festival
Go with the flow I have been to multiple concerts before but nothing compares to the Resonance
Music and Arts Festival, a weekend long camp out of like–minded, motived, music loving

dancing, and yoga as a way to reach the ultimate state of joy. The people around me, the clothing
they wore, the smell of weed that filled the air, and the music that blared through the speakers were
all things I will never forget about that summer weekend. The life style of hundreds of individuals in

paintings, jewelry, tie dyed bags, shirts, skirts, and head bands. I made my dad stop at one booth
because I saw a dress that I absolutely loved. It was priced at $30. When I paid for my purchase the
woman expressed how grateful she was that I was buying her clothing because that is how she made
a living. She told me the story of how she lives in her car, and travels to these festivals. I felt sad for

My Life: Hold on Tight and Fight No Matter How Hard Things...
It has been many years since my nightmares have been passed but they have always remained in my

father in Virginia. My father was a commander and my mother was a good housewife who loved me

Virginia. I was only nine years old then. One evening, my mother and I received terrible news about
my father's death during his service to the country. The news was quite terrifying for us and it felt
like the sky had fallen down.

So we both decided to risk our lives and try to escape from the terrorists and travel to Texas. Max
and I made plans for a few weeks and finally started our mission. First of all, we dug the ground
below the fence to crawl out without anyone noticing us. At one night when everyone had fallen
asleep, we quietly lit some fire in the backyard. We then hid behind the bushes and waited until the
guards noticed the fire. When the guards finally saw the flames and got panicked, we crept out of
the bush and quickly crawled under the fence as we planned.
Both Max and I were very nervous and our hearts were pounding very fast with excitement and fear.
We ran away from the area as quick as we could and we were very fortunate and escaped from there.
Max led the way to Maryland and we walked many miles for many days and nights. We finally

iron that is needed to support the larger motors that they need to produce a high amount of
revolutions per minute. This added weight allows the cabinet table saws to be more stable and less

Analysis Of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre
If I were to remake the 1974 version of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, I would update it to have
current technology. I would update the movie so people had cell phones; I would have social media
play a big part in the movie; I would also put in updated vehicles and machinery. With these changes
to the movie I feel like it would help the movie become more modern. Nowadays everyone has a
cell phone. From 80 year olds to 10 year olds, almost everyone has a cell phone. In remaking The
Texas Chain Saw Massacre for current times I feel like adding cell phones would be a major key in
helping the movie fit our generation. For example, the "hitchhiker" wouldn't be a hitchhiker in
today's society, so the only thing I could think of to have the teenagers pick up a random person was
if Franklin was using a dating app and was going to pick up someone he has been talking to.
Franklin would be talking about how he has been talking to this girl for a while now, and he wanted
to bring her with on the teenagers trip. They would eventually find her waiting at a bus stop to be
picked up by Franklin and the rest of the teenagers. Franklin described how caring and loving this
girl was online. This girl could be a new family member of the killers from the old movie. When she
gets in the van Franklin notices right away she doesn't look like her profile picture did online.
Online she was a short blonde girl that had a couple blue streaks in her hair, but when the teenagers
pick her up they pick up a tall girl with jet black hair. She could eventually go crazy and the
teenagers kick her out like they did with the hitchhiker in the original (Texas Chain Saw Massacre).
After they kick the crazy girl out, Pam would go on to read off of her phone all the horoscopes that
she is obsessed with. Pam talks about how Franklin's birthday is coming up in early november
making him a Scorpio. She continues to say how this month's horoscope for Scorpios says how
these next couple of days will be strugglesome and frustrating. Another way cell phones would
change the movie would be if the lost someone in the group they would just call them to try and
figure out where they are. When Kirk and Pam go missing, someone would most likely end up

The Treasure Of Lemon Brown Analysis

author portrays the theme that sometimes you have to let someone else open your eyes because
people get too focused on one thing that they can't see other things.

Description: A very modern Carcase table. It is very square and has curved legs. It would suit
someone with a modern life style.
Positives: It is very eye–catching, and appeals to the target audience. It enhances the décor and
would look great in a modern home. The rectangular top of this carcase table would be quite easy to
make.
Negatives: The legs are curved and would be quite hard to make. The legs would all have to be the
exact same in size and volume which would be extremely hard to do. The knob used to pull the draw
in and out is metal, which is not aloud.

(she was sleeping on the job), grabbed the bone, and ran for it. Just as I got to the door, an attack
squad of teensy tiny poodles came out. About thirty of the little guys were circling around my legs.
One even had the courage to jump up and try to rip the leg bone out of my hands. I pulled. He
pulled. Eventually it ripped, which was bad for me, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She didn't know where she was going, but something inside of her told her to run far away and fast.
After many hours of running, she fell on the ground and collapsed. And she did not wake up. Many
hours passed, but still she did not wake up, until she heard a sound. A wolf howled, and she
immediately woke up and ran back home. It took very long, but by sunset, she recognized her farm
and her fields. But it had been destroyed. The fields looked as if they had erupted, and her animals
were missing. But her house was the saddest . . . it was gone. All her belongings were scattered
everywhere. She ran to the middle of whatever was still standing in her house and started to cry. She
got on her knees and thought that everything that was once hers was gone in an instant. She cried
and cried, until she found no more use. Then, once her eyes started to clear up, she spotted
something. It was red and had a dark green stem and thorns. She realized that it was a wild rose.
This made her happy, and she liked to think that the rose was a sign of hope. She picked her sweet
rose and walked away, patiently and

Descriptive Essay
Surprises Aren't Always Pleasant
I wake up to the sound of a woodpecker. Why am I even here? How did I get in my bed? These
questions raced through my mind as I searched for a possible answer. Maybe it was just a dream.
Yeah, just a dream.
I put that "dream" (more like a nightmare) aside as I put on some black tights, a long grey shirt, a
pair of black flats and go to my vanity, where I grab a grey scrunchie. I put my hair in a messy bun
with the scrunchie, grab my keys, and leave.
I go outside, where I find my car missing. I get so red and angry, I can barely contain myself. I
noticed that my neighbor is watering some vegetables in her garden. She never liked me. "Mrs.
Sanches! Have you seen my car?!" No response. "Fine! I 'll walk! Ya know what?! I 'll go to Kiara
's!" I shout out and began walking. Neither I or Kiara have to work on Saturdays, so she should be
home.
We don 't live that far away, but walking there took, like, two hours! Ok, over–exaggeration, I know.
It was more like 45 minutes. I turned that last corner.
I finally saw her blue house with white trimmings from across the street. Oh no! What happened?!
I see Kiara, my beautiful medium length dark brown haired, pale skinned friend, trying to walk as
femininely as possible to her car, crying ferociously. I saw the big, no huge, crocodile tears fall from
her blueish–green eyes, down her cheek and neck, and fall to the ground. I noticed that she 's
wearing a black sparkly, long–sleeved dress, black high

Nella Barns Story
Nella Barns' Story " LET ME GO, CHRISTOPHER. MOM DAD!!" Those were my exact words
when they caught me... It was 1719 when they captured me, Nella Barns, a 12–year–old girl. My
story began on a normal day when out of nowhere random men violently tackled me down to the
floor and covered me with a big, brown, itchy net. In addition to getting covered I'm was
immediately thrown onto the floor and slashed out of the net. From there I was pushed into a line
where men started chaining my feet and wrists. Tears instantly ran down my face as my soul faded
away, help me, just someone help me. Meanwhile, someone yelled, "START MARCHING!!". We
all suddenly started to march forward in the blazing, hot, heat. "Clack!Clack!Clack!" went the loose
chains as people marched in sync. 8 weeks exactly, 8 weeks it took us to march down from our
home to the coast of Africa. Those 8 weeks with barely any food but bread, no shoes, and almost no
rest was consider the worst time ever. As the 8 weeks ended, we approached this big ship, then
whites started to unlock ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
"We are free! I can't believe it Christopher! " I exclaimed. As we walked around, we searched for
other people. We then found a tribe, Seminole they openly welcomed us into their tribe. We learned
their customs and religion. But most importantly, they taught us education. Education was not a
word the owning family believed in so we never learned anything, but to clean. It was that point that
showed we were safe. Currently it is 1728,Christopher and I have been safer than before. Every day
I recalled the troubles I've had in the past from being enslaved and my parents dying from a free
person. Endurance did help a bunch with family barely available in the beginning. I had to get
through it and get a better life. Doubts did go through my head, I have wanted freedom for seven
years and I needed to do it. But I am free and I will forever be

Personal Narrative : My Life Through The Sea Of People At...
As I was finding my way through the sea of people at an outrageous summer college party. I
suddenly saw Hunter, my twin sister 's boyfriend, walking away from me. I was making my way
towards him; pushing people out of my way. I was on a mission to get my sister so we can get home
before my parents did.
I knew Jessi , my party loving that loves to get a little tipsy twin, and Hunter, her alcoholic
boyfriend, had a few drinks because they went right to the table full of them. So, I knew that I, being
the responsible twin that I am, will have to drag her away from the party. When I got to where I saw
Hunter last I looked around not seeing them, but they are either upstairs, in the basement, or outside.
I looked everywhere, making Jake, my lovely boyfriend, double check for me. We met up near Jakes
black 2002 BMW 3–series/M3 and, we thought if they aren 't here they must be at my house.
Luckily, I didn 't have a drink and, I could drive us both safely home. I called out Jessi's name, but
there was no answer from anyone, which was good and bad because my parents aren 't home yet but
neither is Jessi.
We went to sleep figuring that Hunter and Jessi are asleep in her room across the hall. My mom
knocked on the door in the morning because it was time for breakfast. I walked down stairs groggily
discovering Jessi wasn 't home. I started to worry because I didn 't know where or what happened to
them. My dad, trusts me a little more than Jessi, asked where Jessi was, but I couldn

The Buzz Saw Poem Analysis
A young fellow is cutting kindling with a buzz saw in New England. Close to the end of the day, the
kid's sister reports that it is time for supper and, out of exhilaration, the kid unintentionally cuts his
hand with the saw. He asks his sister not to enable the specialist to cut away the hand yet deep down
understands that he has effectively lost a great deal of blood to survive. The boy passes away while
under anesthesia, and everybody backpedals to work. Around 1916 World War I was in progress and
a lot of unprepared children had to take the duties of the adults to help out with the households.
Frost utilizes the strategy of personification to significantly impact in this poem. The buzz saw,
however; a lifeless question is depicted as a discerning being, forcefully growling and rattling as it
does its work. At the point when the sister makes the supper declaration, the saw indicates that it has
its very own psyche by "jumping" out of the boy's hand in exhilaration. Frost declines to lay fault
for the damage on the boy, who is a "young child on the most fundamental level." In spite of faulting
the saw, Frost accuses the grown–ups at the scene for not interceding and advising the kid to "throw
in the towel" before the mischance happened. Had the kid got an early reason from the workday, he
would have refrained from removing his hand and would have been spared from death. Besides, an
insignificant half–hour break from his employment would have enabled the kid to recapture some
portion of his adolescence, if just for a minute. Frost's accentuation on the boy's lack of involvement
and blamelessness in this circumstance is especially noteworthy with regards to the day and age.
Subsequent to moving to England with his family, Frost was compelled to come back to America as
a result of the onset of World War I in 1915, an occasion that would devastate the lives of numerous
pure young men. In view of that, this poem can be perused as an investigation of the world
occasions that constrained young men to abandon their childhoods and at last be decimated by
conditions outside their ability to control. Most adolescents and young people, both young men and
young ladies, left primary schools where they got the

A Rainbow Comes After The Storm Short Story

  • 1. A Rainbow Comes After The Storm Short Story A Rainbow Comes After the Storm Newaygo, Michigan, a small, little, suburban town north of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Their tubing and rafting was a hotspot for families to spend quality time together. I was part of one of them. I was filled with excitement. While we were waiting in line, we were cracking jokes and having a good time. "Group number 43, head your way to the pink bus!" the announcer called. My family of 7 got onto the bus. It was my uncle, my aunt, my 6–year–old cousin, Avi, My 11–year–old cousin, Preet, my parents and me. We were on the bus, in this strange tiny town. We drove down the dirt road, down to the forest. I found this quite sketchy, but the only thing that was in my head was jumping into the cold, crisp, and clear water as I imagined. Then, the bus began to shake as the bus driver announced through the radio, "Don't be frightened, we are almost there! Just a few more of these sharp turns and you'll be on your tubes down the refreshing water. Just remember to get off at the bridge, or you'll be in deep trouble." The bridge, the bridge, the bridge. I kept on repeating that in my head so I would not forget. Suddenly, everyone started clapping. It was finally time to get off. Preet and I rushed to get the tubes for everyone in our family, and some twine to attach it. We were filled with excitement. Time flew by, and we were finally on the dock. We got our tubes tied up, and went into the water. The sun was shining through the dancing, tall, trees and everyone was smiling. Groups started to pass us by, to the point we were isolated. We couldn't see anyone else in the vast river. There was no possible way to get of neither. The land was all slanted, so you would have to climb, along with that it was all private property. I was slightly worried about this. "Mommy, is that a sea monster?" My cousin, Avi questioned. Then all of a sudden there was a BOOM! A tree log stuck us. This tree log was gigantic; it looked like it weighed a million pounds. It was so big that we couldn't get around it. We couldn't use it to hold onto as it was all mushy and wet. I thought to myself, should I go under the log, but it's way too low, I would drown. We are going to be stuck here forever. We have nothing ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 3. A Short Story : A Story? Darkness, then light, the sound of the radio downstairs and the the soft beep of my alarm clock. I don't bother pushing snooze. I'm tired from staying up till 2:00am to study, but I don't have time to waste. I climb out of bed, walk, half awake to the bathroom to get changed and brush my teeth. I slowly walk down the stairs , the smell of bacon and eggs luring me towards the kitchen. At the table sat my mom, browsing through her facebook status. She barely noticed me when I walked in the room. "Mom."I said, with a hint of annoyance in my voice. A few seconds went by before she spoke, but to me they felt like minutes. Minutes spent standing at the bottom of the stairs, waiting. Eventually, she looked up from her phone and gave me a smile. "Good morning sunshine! How are you?"She took a long sip of her coffee. "Fine." I replied, still annoyed that she hadn't noticed my arrival before I had to announce my presence to her.She bit her lip. "Aww don't be that way honey, you know how busy I am." I Muttered as if under my breath. For now, I was too tired to put up a fight. I put it aside in the back of my mind. "Wheres dad?" I asked. "He had to go to work early." That was the answer I was expecting. Dad always had to go to work early. I sat down and ate my bacon and eggs in silence. After I had finished, I grabbed my bag and headed out the door. On the way to the bus stop, I saw Jennifer walk out of her house, the house with the blue walls and grey carpet inside.A house I could ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

January seventeenth every year there is a meeting for the whole town to celebrate the children. This celebration is to introduce the children to a new item. When someone turns twelve in District 16 the government chooses a sport for that child to play. A family named the Smiths just got a new baby from the government to raise. They already had two children a sixteen year old boy named James and an eleven year old girl named Morgan and now a one year old girl named Lucy. This year the government will give Morgan a sport, James will be given a job and Lucy will be given a swing to help relax her into the world. On January sixteenth the night ... • 7. Personal Narrative: Divorce Essay Personal Narrative: Divorce Mum had briefly informed me that we were going to a place that would "make sure that the right parent looked after us." This was drilled into me for weeks in advance along with the miscellaneous "I love you more than Dad does" and " you enjoy living with me more than Dad, don't you?" What Mum didn't realise is that children can see straight through people like her so her ongoing effort to unbalance my opinion just floated straight past me like a cloud. My brother, on the other hand, had a tendency to make it seem as if he trusted every word Mum said. Whether he really did or whether it was all a very ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Trying to find something else to worry about I wandered into Mum's room. I found her standing in front of the mirror getting ready to go. She saw me in the mirror but just continued beautifying herself. She was dressed smartly and was applying her make–up as if this was just a chance to show off. I watched her for a while and there was something provocative and spiteful about her, as if she had changed to a different person I didn't know. I lay on her bed and just stared at the ceiling trying to make sense of my first encounter with the confusion of the real, adult world. A few minutes later Mum had ushered me off of her bed and out of her room and told me to put my shoes and coat on. Instinctively, I went to help my brother put his shoes on because I knew that's what Mum actually meant. He was three years younger than me but I didn't appreciate that he wouldn't understand the importance of this visit long awaited by Mum. I kept talking to him and sharing my feelings but the only response I got was "where are we going, rach?" Since I didn't know the answer to this question I stopped talking and proceeded to tie his shoe laces. In the car, on the way to this unknown place I sat in the back seat in a daze. I saw my brother trying to glance out of the window but still seeming quite content so I thought I would follow his lead. Just tall enough to look ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 9. The Day That Changed My Life The sun shined into the bedroom and my heavy, tired eyes eagerly opened. A huge smile was revealed on my face and a burst of chuckles traveled across the room. The laughter of a four–year– old child filled the hallways. The excitement was visible in my coffee–colored eyes as I ran down the stairs. I was elated! Today was February 4th, 2005; it was the day! This was the day that I got to finally play dress up with my mother and baby sister. I expected this day to be the best day of my life! In order to tame the hungry beast inside of my belly, I turned to my mom and asked her to make me a bowl of Nissin Ramen noodles. When I was younger, I believed that nothing was better than eating a tub of chicken noodles for breakfast! My mom agreed to make me the soup, yet she gave me a simple warning before she left the room. "Tyra," she began, "don't get that food from the microwave. You're gonna hurt yourself. Okay?" She always asked this of me before she cooked me a hot meal. All the other times, I actually listened to her warning. This time, the warning went through one ear and out the other. For that reason, I recklessly agreed to do what she had told me to do. Thinking that I would actually follow through with that command, she headed downstairs with my sister to prepare my meal. Since my room was upstairs and directly above the kitchen, I could hear my mom pulling glass dishes out of one of the cabinets. • 11. Personal Narrative: Creating A Blackbox Style Theatre I am creating a set in a blackbox style theatre which requires a 16 foot square, 12 inch tall raised acting area which also contains a wall with a door on the upstate side. The first thing I must do is create the platform. The platform is 16 ft long and 16 feet wide and 12 inches tall. I will be using 3/4 inch plywood for the flooring of my platform and 2x4 for framing underneath and support legs. Once I use my table saw to cut out my 16'x16' piece of plywood I will also be cutting four 16'x12" pieces for the sides of the platform. Then using four 12 inch pieces of my 2x4 I will be attaching the four 16'x12" pieces together using my drill and screws. I also have to cut out a bit of the door in order to attach a working handle, which will also be attached using screws. After completing that I can now attach the three 16'x12" to the flat with the door. Using wood glue, screws and my drill I do that and leave it to dry. Once both of my pieces are dry it is now time to attach the platform to the flat. While doing this is it super important that I am using a speed square to insure that my flat is standing exactly straight up off of the platform. Some tools those Egyptians used were the lathe, the adze, the cane bender, the saw and the axe. They are pretty simple tools and some of them are even still used today. One of the tools not used today would be the adze and it was used for carving and planing but now we have different tools that work better than that(2). Some of the things the Egyptians would build with their use of woodwork would be when they built their huts and also when they build their mud buildings because they would make a frame of the building out of wood. They also were very big on boat building, they would build boats to go down the Nile river. Boat building is a very difficult process, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... That improvement dramatically helped woodwork today, it sped up build time on houses from possibly years down to months. It also shrank the amount of people to build a house because they wouldn't need as much people to lift heavy objects because of the equipment we have today. We have other things beside woodworking tools to help with the process like cranes because they lift the large pieces of prebuilt parts of the frame, we also have crowbars that we use to move the wood either into position or rip it out because of something like the nail being all messed up. Woodworking today is very much as important as everything else but metalwork still has a bigger influence today especially for welders because of their building of skyscrapers in major cities.(6) One of the greatest advancement to wood working today would have to be how easy it is to buy the wood your wanting to work on. Today there is a greater ability to use a bigger variety of wood locally bought because of lumber distributors around the world. They make it easier to buy and they check the quality of the wood before even buying most times. Lewis's Till We Have Faces is often the victim of mysterious visions that appear to relate to her real–life experiences. In one of her final visions, Queen Orual dreams that she is Ungit, an all–consuming goddess who is worshipped by the people of Glome. Orual definitely is Ungit; she has several characteristics that give evidence of this. Orual is all–consuming and possessive in her relationships with other people; she wears a veil to cover her ugly face, giving her a resemblance to the forbidding goddess; she is very demanding of her servants, which is similar to the intense rituals and sacrifices that Ungit demands. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Orual is not pleased with this negative portrayal of herself, but she has to admit that her ambitions took precedence over Bardia's personal needs. Orual writes, "Heaven knows how we had tormented him, Ansit and I. For it needs no Oedipus to guess that many and many a night, her jealousy of me welcomed him home to a bitter hearth" (202). Orual believes that the veil she wears to hide her ugly face is one of her strengths. The veil creates a mysterious aura that grows with each passing year. The more the memory of the Queen's face fades, the wilder the stories about what her veil contains become. The resemblance to a mysterious and unfathomable goddess is unmistakable. Orual writes, "no one believed it was anything so common as the face of an ugly woman. Some said it was frightful beyond endurance; a pig's, bear's, cat's, or elephant's face. The best story was that I had no face at all; if you stripped off my veil you would find emptiness. The upshot of all this was that I became something mysterious and awful. I have seen ambassadors turn white like scared children when I faced them"(172). There are several rituals that the citizens of Glome follow when they are paying homage to Ungit. They have to "keep girls in her house, brides have to give her gifts, and in a bad year someone's throat is cut and blood is poured over the stone goddess" (6). ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Dr. Seuss And To Think That I Saw It On Mulberry Street Dr. Seuss Dr. Seuss I took an unconventional approach in the topic I chose for my reading assignment – whereas most groups selected single novels, my partner and I opted to read a collection of short stories by none other than the notorious Dr. Seuss. Were I writing this essay on a "normal" book, I would be able to pose a question about the book itself and answer it in an ordinary sort of way. However, given the subject matter I have chosen, an essay on an individual book, though possible, would be a very tricky thing to do. It would be wiser, and probably easier, to respond to the man himself. My decision to respond to the man himself makes many more choices – what facet of Dr. Seuss shall I ask myself questions about? Overcome by the rhythm, he got out some paper and penned "And To Think That I Saw It On Mulberry Street", under the name "Dr. Seuss". Seuss, obviously proud of what he had done, attempted to get his book published – 27 letters of rejection came in from 27 companies telling him that his work was much too unconventional for children to understand and relate to and all that mish–mash, and it was the 28th company that dared to publish his work. That risk certainly paid off for them... and the rest, as they say, is history. Writing all of this, I have just thought of a question to explore: Many authors publish many books for many different reasons... to put them all into a very big nutshell, however, you can see them all in two different groups: Firstly, there are those who publish for money and fame, churning out one book after another in an attempt to capitalize/attract audience – although some people might argue this, current "big–name" authors like Tom Clancy and Michael Crichton fit into this category. The torture franchise has been locking up morally–dubious characters in all kinds of gruesome, steel contraptions and inventing creative, new places to hide the keys. "It's right before your eyes. ~ Saw 2" The creepy puppet–master of the Saw franchise is Jigsaw, and does he loves playing games! And by playing games, it means locking unconscious people inside dank warehouses and giving them 60 seconds to choose between certain death, self–mutilation, or, if they're lucky, disemboweling a stranger. When people talk about "Saw," they tend to focus on Jigsaw's impressive body count. But just as you can pick through a pit of heroin syringes to find the hidden key in saw 2, you can sift through this villain's deadly traps to find the grander meaning of his games. The Philosophy of Saw all comes down to Jigsaw's motivation: his torturous games are opportunities for his victims to repent for their sins and ostensibly, to transform into better human beings. If they survive his tests, (and the odds are never in their favor), he believes that they will emerge with a newfound ability to appreciate life. The roots of the series are explored in Saw IV. Correspondingly, phones and the internet play a monumental role in our society today as how humans communicate relies solely on these devices. Not only could the operation of cell phones be used for transportation and direction aid, but it could also be used for communication. Beginning with this, a new form of communication could bring to us a new fear, the fear of the non present. In my opinion, non present characters, such as the Babadook from the movie Babadook, bring aggrandized fear than present characters such as Leatherface considering the fact that the character doesn't know when they are there or not. Having to worry about a creature twenty–four seven would eventually catch up with a stable mind and ruin their life. Although, this movie doesn't portray a policeman to call, the cell phone could still be used for communication and in a possibility, stalking. In other words, the five kids could have used a cell phone after the first sign of danger or fear to call for help. Another specific example of this would be when Kirk and Pam run off to find a swimming hole and become missing (The Texas Chain Saw Massacre). Instead of Jerry running to try and find them, he could have used his cell phone to communicate with them. How can this bring us an uneasy conscious? As an illustration, if Jerry would call Kirk's phone but, leather face answers screaming obscene words and in the background, having Pam screaming, it would leave us disturbed and in wonder of what is progressing and what is happening to the two poor children. The Music And Arts Festival Go with the flow I have been to multiple concerts before but nothing compares to the Resonance Music and Arts Festival, a weekend long camp out of like–minded, motived, music loving individuals. In simpler terms, modern day hippies. These hippies focus more on medication, dancing, and yoga as a way to reach the ultimate state of joy. The people around me, the clothing they wore, the smell of weed that filled the air, and the music that blared through the speakers were all things I will never forget about that summer weekend. I made my dad stop at one booth because I saw a dress that I absolutely loved. It was priced at $30. When I paid for my purchase the woman expressed how grateful she was that I was buying her clothing because that is how she made a living. She told me the story of how she lives in her car, and travels to these festivals. I felt sad for a brief moment until I realized this was her calling and she was truly happy. It inspired me to appreciate the little things that surround me. Before I came to live here with my Aunt Marie in Maryland, I lived with my mother and father in Virginia. My father was a commander and my mother was a good housewife who loved me so much. All the hardships and hostile experiences of my life began when a civil war started in Virginia. I was only nine years old then. One evening, my mother and I received terrible news about my father's death during his service to the country. The news was quite terrifying for us and it felt like the sky had fallen down. So we both decided to risk our lives and try to escape from the terrorists and travel to Texas. Max and I made plans for a few weeks and finally started our mission. First of all, we dug the ground below the fence to crawl out without anyone noticing us. At one night when everyone had fallen asleep, we quietly lit some fire in the backyard. We then hid behind the bushes and waited until the guards noticed the fire. When the guards finally saw the flames and got panicked, we crept out of the bush and quickly crawled under the fence as we planned. Both Max and I were very nervous and our hearts were pounding very fast with excitement and fear. We ran away from the area as quick as we could and we were very fortunate and escaped from there. Max led the way to Maryland and we walked many miles for many days and nights. We finally reached Aunt Marie's home and I hugged her so tight once I saw her. I then asked Aunt Marie about mum and she sadly said that mum had passed away. Aunt Marie said that my mum was very ill both mentally and physically since I was lost. She said that my mum could not eat or sleep everyday as she was very worried about me. I felt like I was being shot straight through my heart with a bullet. • 59. Analysis Of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre If I were to remake the 1974 version of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, I would update it to have current technology. I would update the movie so people had cell phones; I would have social media play a big part in the movie; I would also put in updated vehicles and machinery. With these changes to the movie I feel like it would help the movie become more modern. Nowadays everyone has a cell phone. From 80 year olds to 10 year olds, almost everyone has a cell phone. In remaking The Texas Chain Saw Massacre for current times I feel like adding cell phones would be a major key in helping the movie fit our generation. For example, the "hitchhiker" wouldn't be a hitchhiker in today's society, so the only thing I could think of to have the teenagers pick up a random person was if Franklin was using a dating app and was going to pick up someone he has been talking to. Franklin would be talking about how he has been talking to this girl for a while now, and he wanted to bring her with on the teenagers trip. They would eventually find her waiting at a bus stop to be picked up by Franklin and the rest of the teenagers. Franklin described how caring and loving this girl was online. This girl could be a new family member of the killers from the old movie. When she gets in the van Franklin notices right away she doesn't look like her profile picture did online. Online she was a short blonde girl that had a couple blue streaks in her hair, but when the teenagers pick her up they pick up a tall girl with jet black hair. She could eventually go crazy and the teenagers kick her out like they did with the hitchhiker in the original (Texas Chain Saw Massacre). After they kick the crazy girl out, Pam would go on to read off of her phone all the horoscopes that she is obsessed with. Pam talks about how Franklin's birthday is coming up in early november making him a Scorpio. She continues to say how this month's horoscope for Scorpios says how these next couple of days will be strugglesome and frustrating. Another way cell phones would change the movie would be if the lost someone in the group they would just call them to try and figure out where they are. • 76. Personal Narrative : My Life Through The Sea Of People At... As I was finding my way through the sea of people at an outrageous summer college party. I suddenly saw Hunter, my twin sister 's boyfriend, walking away from me. I was making my way towards him; pushing people out of my way. I was on a mission to get my sister so we can get home before my parents did. I knew Jessi , my party loving that loves to get a little tipsy twin, and Hunter, her alcoholic boyfriend, had a few drinks because they went right to the table full of them. So, I knew that I, being the responsible twin that I am, will have to drag her away from the party. When I got to where I saw Hunter last I looked around not seeing them, but they are either upstairs, in the basement, or outside. I looked everywhere, making Jake, my lovely boyfriend, double check for me. We met up near Jakes black 2002 BMW 3–series/M3 and, we thought if they aren 't here they must be at my house. Luckily, I didn 't have a drink and, I could drive us both safely home. I called out Jessi's name, but there was no answer from anyone, which was good and bad because my parents aren 't home yet but neither is Jessi. We went to sleep figuring that Hunter and Jessi are asleep in her room across the hall. My mom knocked on the door in the morning because it was time for breakfast. I walked down stairs groggily discovering Jessi wasn 't home. I started to worry because I didn 't know where or what happened to them. My dad, trusts me a little more than Jessi, asked where Jessi was, but I couldn ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 78. The Buzz Saw Poem Analysis A young fellow is cutting kindling with a buzz saw in New England. Close to the end of the day, the kid's sister reports that it is time for supper and, out of exhilaration, the kid unintentionally cuts his hand with the saw. He asks his sister not to enable the specialist to cut away the hand yet deep down understands that he has effectively lost a great deal of blood to survive. The boy passes away while under anesthesia, and everybody backpedals to work. Around 1916 World War I was in progress and a lot of unprepared children had to take the duties of the adults to help out with the households. Frost utilizes the strategy of personification to significantly impact in this poem. The buzz saw, however; a lifeless question is depicted as a discerning being, forcefully growling and rattling as it does its work. At the point when the sister makes the supper declaration, the saw indicates that it has its very own psyche by "jumping" out of the boy's hand in exhilaration. Frost declines to lay fault for the damage on the boy, who is a "young child on the most fundamental level." In spite of faulting the saw, Frost accuses the grown–ups at the scene for not interceding and advising the kid to "throw in the towel" before the mischance happened. Had the kid got an early reason from the workday, he would have refrained from removing his hand and would have been spared from death. Besides, an insignificant half–hour break from his employment would have enabled the kid to recapture some portion of his adolescence, if just for a minute. Frost's accentuation on the boy's lack of involvement and blamelessness in this circumstance is especially noteworthy with regards to the day and age. Subsequent to moving to England with his family, Frost was compelled to come back to America as a result of the onset of World War I in 1915, an occasion that would devastate the lives of numerous pure young men. In view of that, this poem can be perused as an investigation of the world occasions that constrained young men to abandon their childhoods and at last be decimated by conditions outside their ability to control. Most adolescents and young people, both young men and young ladies, left primary schools where they got the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
