5. How did you attract/address your audience?
I attracted and addressed my audience through the use of character (teenage girls) that they could
relate to. They are the stereotypical girly girls that can be related too across the world and they are at a
sleepover, playing spin the bottle, which most teenage girl experience.
The genre is can be aimed at either females or males depending on the characters and plot therefore I
made sure that my characters where female and the plot sets up certain expectations within the
audience as they know that something will go wrong during the night at the sleepover.
The mise-en-scene of the bedroom is a stereotypical girly room, with posters and light colour including
pink. This also helps the audience relate to the characters.
The non-diegetic sound when the main character is walking down the street is creepy and creates a
tense atmosphere
