forms and conventions of real products?
There are many ways in which our thriller opening incorporates generic conventions:
• Establishes characters with the use of close
ups on various images of the same girl.
• Names of director and production company
at the start
• The images/action are intercut with title,
which is a common trait among thriller
openings.
• Creates an enigma e.g. Who is the girl?, Why
are there red lines pointing towards her? And
why are there time and dates over the
pictures? Who is the man putting the pictures
up and what is his connection to her?
• These questions help to establish why the
audience should be interested in our thriller.
