We are a collegiate organization under
SAE International, a global association
specializing in aerospace, automotive
and commercial-vehicle industries.
Every year, we
design, fabricate,
and test a formula-style
racecar to
participate in the
Formula SAE
competition.

2. Since then, the team has
established itself as a
formidable competitor at many
Formula SAE competitions in
the U.S., and produced many
successful alumni. The team has
also become a part of the San
Diego community, through
extensive media exposure and
involvement in the local chapter
of the Sports Car Club of
America.
In 1997, a small group of
engineering students
decided to channel their
passion and education into
building a racecar from
scratch. They laid the
foundation for UCSD Triton
Racing.

3. For the upcoming season, our goal is to build
upon the successes and failures of the previous
teams. Therefore, we will keep many of the
same design aspects, focusing on creating a
reliable model that can be continuously
improved for years to come.
• We are dedicated to building not only a solid
racecar, but also a solid team. To avoid the poor
transfer of knowledge that once hindered the
team’s growth, we are implementing
organizational and managerial changes to
ensure that UCSD Triton Racing continues to
progress.
