  2. 2. In this article we want to provethat inhibition of telomerasethat is reactivated when thetelomeres become tooshort, the scientists plan to usethis, for cancer treatment, as itwas shown to be more effectivefor combat malignanttumors, avoiding damage toharmless cells.
  3. 3.  During each cycle of cell division, small portions of the ends of chromosomes are lost in DNA replications. When the telomere gets too short, continuous replication of DNA could completely remove the telomeres, giving rise to genomic instability resulting in a deterioration of the cell even lead to death.
  4. 4.  Scientists have thought that telomere length is a key indicator of cancer risk, we have identified links between telomere length and cancer mortality.They found a doubling of cancer death with each decrease of telomere length.
