5. Looking at both of the front cover I can see that they both use the
conventional layout which takes into consideration the rule of thirds
and the use of thirds. The route of the eye is used in both magazine
front covers as well, this is conventional because you see the
masthead, then the image and cover lines and then the pull quote at
the bottom. They both include bold bright mastheads which is
conventional, they both include the typical features that a front cover
should include. The image that I have chosen is using a similar shot to
one of a real magazine.
Looking at both of the contents pages I can see that they both have
used the conventional way of setting out the content, however the real
magazine hasn’t included a subscription offer and editors letter
however these are still conventional features of a contents page as I
have seen them included in other magazines. The use of thirds has

lines are both situated along the left side of the page.
Looking at both of the double page spreads I can see
that they both have a conventional layout, the have
