3. BTU Meter / Heat Meter ?
A heat / cooling meter is a device which measures thermal energy
provided by a heat source such as a boiler or heat pump, or delivered
to a heat sink such as a central heating system or hot water cylinder,
by measuring the flow rate of the heat transfer fluid and the
temperature (ΔT) between the outflow and return legs of the system.
Heat meters consist of a flow sensor, a pair of temperature sensors,
and a calculator.
Typical applications of heat meters are the measurement of heat
delivered to consumers by district heating systems, or the
measurement of the heat output of say a heat pump, or the cooling
output from a chiller.

4. Measuring instrument directives
• In Europe the legal basis for measuring instruments is set in
the Measuring Instrument Directives (MID) of the European
Parliament, dating from February 2014.
• The MID covers the whole approval process from initial
verification, and putting into use 10 different types of
measuring instruments; for instance, electricity, gas, heat and
water meters.

10. CALIBRATION
A Flow meter & BTU Meter is used to measure the rate of
movement and the quantity of a liquid moving through a pipe.
When using a Flow meter & BTU Meter, it is essential the
instrument be in good working condition. This will ensure the
measurement results are accurate and reliable. In order to
feel confident in the results, calibration and maintenance of a
flow meter & BTU meter is a necessity.

11. Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) for BTU Meter
For installations where a large number of Flow meter are being used,
we undertake Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) at a nominal cost.
In this contract, we proactively visit the site, every quarter. During
every visit, we check the health of the Flowmeters and carry-out, on-
site calibration once in a year.
